They are OVER THE TOP ADORABLE!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE your piggies, your channel is wonderful, and those girls are just beautiful! Their little quirks and behaviours, their happiness about everything, it brings so much JOY!! GUINEA pigs are just perfect pets, lol!!
Yes!! Not meaning to be an evil piggy mom but I've always wanted one of these, especially if I'm away from the house, I guess this is my sign to get one :) You never know what they're up to when your not looking 😂
Aww 🥰 I love the footage you got of your piggies! It’s so adorable! So, we started off with a Blink Camera and didn’t have good luck at all, so we switched to a Lorex pan tilt and zoom camera. Most amazing camera ever! Great video quality, you can watch live feeds, go back and see clips, save them, and it sees good in the dark. For an added benefit, I added strings of soft white LED lights and the camera doesn’t have to switch to black and white mode with them on. I have the camera mounted and can move it in any direction, talk to the piggies, and it has, knock on wood, worked 100% of the time so far, and no monthly subscription fees! 😊
OMG! Hi! I'm a fan of @Squeakdreams! I Never thought i would see you here! It's nice to see a comment from somebody else who i know has lots of piggies and I'm a fan of!☺
We loved the piggy cam footage!! Thank you for sharing the info on the ring cam; we’ve been curious about getting one for our lil animals just to check in on them and to see what they get up to at night 😄 great video!
I use one of my house security cameras on my pen to monitor their health, along with the usual weighing, looking at poos, etc. They should rise and eat every few hours. If you've kept piggies well long enough you will know what I mean when you get that hunch something is off. Whenever my piggy sense goes off I can go to the software and replay the past very quickly.... 128X speed even if I want. I look for the piggy of concerns activity. Did I just happen to catch them napping when I passed by or is there a problem? I can find out fast, see precisely what theyve been up to for the last day or so, even back to a week or more usually. FYI I use BlueIris software and the typical cheap wifi cams.
Bernie always reacts to other piggies on You Tube, Merry not so much. Lovely to see what they do while you are sleeping. I know ours move about at night because I'm nocturnal and I can hear them as they are in my daughters bedroom with her. Merry often eats his hay/carrot top box during the night too and she has to take it out as it keeps her awake ha ha 🤭❤️ always entertaining😂
I love your videos soooo much and I was wondering if you could post a video on beginners guide because I’m getting my guinea pigs in exactly about 90 days and I am so excited i’m subscribed to you
I have a camera on them on long workdays from home or when i'm on a rare vacation to keep an eye on them since it is easy for petsitters to miss subtle changes in their behaviour.
They were all so cute and I didnt expect them to be so active at night! I'm definitely thinking of getting a camera for my own piggies. Onky problem is I have 2 pairs of boars in separate cages. But I might get one for ny hanster cage too because my hamster Rosie loves to come out really late at night and LOVES to try and escape.
I've been wondering if something like this existed, especially with the night setup. But I'm not about to shell out for a subscription. I wonder if I can get one that streams live video to RUclips.
I use the Tapo cameras so we can keep an eye on ours, fairly cheap around £20/25 plus they run off the mains so no need to be battery charged. Love being able to keep an eye on them when out & about or at work…
GREAT IDEA , I THINK THATS A PERFECT IDEA FOR CREATIVITY CONTENT YOU CAN SWITCH IN BETWEEN SHOTS WHILE EDITING FOR YOUR VLOG AND SHOW DIFFERENT SCENES.
Oh my gosh, I have been deciding to ,but since I have gone on disability and they are in my bedroom,I have not gotten one for now. I think I would not be able to stop looking at them, lol! If I were still working, and may decide to if I volunteer and away from the house more.
I have a different camera for my peace of mind during day trips. My husband likes to go on teasing rants about "piggy privacy!" but I just want to make sure they're moving around and eating!
I got a very cheap Tapo 200 camera from Amazon that was about $20, it can take a microsd card but it also takes a subscription for recorded videos. But if you put a microsd card in the camera itself it records locally onto the card. Or if youre watching the live feed you can push record and it saves on your phone. I got one because my piggies live in another room and Im not always in there. So it gives me peace of mind that I can flip open an app on my phone and see how my boys are doing. Also I love watching them and their antics when Im not around!
great to see what the piggies get up to when no one is around . can piggies chew on cardboard boxes, when our piggies anre out and go near table legs and boxes i always take the boxes away x
Wait... how do you have a towel lining? Don't they pee too much on your padding? doesn't it stink? I'm just looking for a lining for my cage, something nice but practical at the same time, and I can't find anything... same with hammocks and beds.. im just scared that is hard to keep and is very smelly... :(
I have a fleece cage liner - you can get them online or make your own. They usually have fleece, an absorbent layer and then a waterproof layer (optional). This video explains using fleece as bedding and how it all works: ruclips.net/video/irk3cJBITOg/видео.html 😊
The school where I am at has two different pairs of guineas but I feel that where I work (Where the ginger pair is). The teachers neglect them, they haven't had a cage cleanout for a month now. What can I do?
Clean out their cage? You work there right? Nobody could object to you looking after animals. Schools should never have class pets, I bet their cages are shite and teeny.
@a_w1ld_theri4n No guinea pig cage is ideal for one as guinea pigs should never be kept alone. Yeah way too small for two then. If either cage is a pet shop cage or smaller than a 4x2 or 120 cm (7.5 square feet) then it's too small for two guinea pigs.
I got my Guinea pigs on Thursday (it is currently Saturday) as they are still a bit shy I love spying on them so this camera would be great ! My pigs are taming really well they are getting braver and braver .i love your channel I just subscribed!
I do a quick sweep 2-3 times a day, changing pads if I need to, then change the litter tray once a day. They do most of their peeing and pooping in there naturally, not really training but certain things you can to do to encourage them. I only do a full clean and liner change every 2-3 weeks! I have some videos on litter training/cage cleaning and I'm also planning an updated one in a few weeks 😊
Hello! If possible, please answer me. I love watching videos of guinea pigs because I think they are very cute, but from what I understand, guinea pigs are not very tactile animals. They don't like to be picked up or touched too much, and they make noises that can literally mean the opposite of things. I literally don't understand what "don't pick them up TOO MUCH" means or where that line is. Does all this mean that I shouldn't even think about having two pigs as pets, or is it possible to find pigs with a personality that might suit me? A non-tactile animal is absolutely not suitable for me, but at the same time I have seen too many angry comments about “abuse”, when a pig expresses the slightest displeasure while a person is trying to interact with it. Therefore, I decided to ask this question to you, as a person who understands pigs, their socialization, and so on. Sorry if any of this sounds rude, I didn't mean it on purpose in any way. You and your pigs are so cute and happy-looking! With love, Nastya from Russia
