I own two male guinea pigs, and they are both very loud the first time they met. They were actually not very aggressive. They were very peaceful to each other, and now they run around the cage happily.
What a lot of excitement, I can remember when I introduced a male to my girls, he went mad humping and chasing them after he had been alone for weeks. It all worked out very well and from what I have seen in this video I’m sure your piggies will become great friends with Nacho.🥰xx

How wonderful! Nacho seems like he really loves his new herd. I have a spunky little white Abbyssinian named Snowball who was similarly found on her own, outside, severely underweight and frostbitten. She's pretty bossy and likes to be in charge and steal food a lot - I think she learned the behavior from her initial owners who dumped her. When I introduced her to Meatball, a big goofy boar who was twice her size at the time, it was really amazing watching her take charge, rumbling across the cage, running up to him and popcorning, and even chasing him around a little. Often you'll see Meatball sitting in a hidey watching her as she frantically does laps around the cage. They've settled down nicely but they have an amusing pattern of behavior where Snowball will run off and hide any veggies I give her, then come and steal Meatball's. Meatball will sometimes play keep-away but often he just asks me for more. Sometimes I'll give Meatball a slice of cucumber, let Snowball steal it, and then give Meatball another slice of cucumber while she's eating it. He doesn't seem to mind, and I'm not convinced he always notices when Snowball took it from him. Snowball, meanwhile, has gained quite a bit of weight...

I was so looking forward to nacho meeting the girls. I was really happy they seemed to do really well together. It was hilarious watching all the mounting he did but also sweet. Roxy really surprised me with her mounting him, and pretty little Callie girl hiding from him was funny. He really seems to like that pretty girl. All in all I would consider it a success. Thank you so much, I can't tell you how helpful this has been. I also rescued an abandoned male guinea pig right around the time that you got nacho. I neutered him a week after your video on neutering came out, it was your video that made up my mind that that was the right thing to do for him because I only had female guinea pigs. Now, I'm introducing him to them in about a week and a half! I'm so excited, and I'll definitely be coming back to this video to remind myself what behaviors are normal
Happy with how that went. Yay for the herd! I have two males, who are intact. They have a 2 story c&c cage that I call their townhouse. Every so often the submissive male lunges at the dominant because he's tired of getting mounted. They've never hurt each other, though. We took 3 days with only a few hours together before putting them in the same cage. They do quite well and are mostly happy. They are Eddie Murphy and Freddie Mercury.
I love that Nacho finally got some buddies and someone to run around with. I have had my two boys for about a year now and getting them to bond was hard I had to separate them a couple of times because they were being a bit to aggressive with one another but then would not be happy without one another. Your videos have help so much in making sure I give them the best life possible thank you and best wishes to your herd.
So we've just got 2 baby piggies 12 weeks old, and been watching your videos on all the questions I've thought about asking, we've now realised that the habitat you have for yours is definitely a better idea than what we purchased for ours so we will be changing ours when we can, luckily we have a covered decking area and they have lots of space to run around during the day and only spend evenings in the cage. Just want to say a big thank you for your very helpful videos as my daughter didn't understand how you can't just pick them up constantly and they need time and patience ❤

I could have used this video months ago. No video ever showed the tension between piggies as being normal. Intervention was my mantra because I thought they were attacking each other. Then I figured out to let them figure it out and I now have two bonded males (after a year of being neighbors). I love Nacho and the girls and with a Mum like you, I know they will be best friends.

Brilliant - reminded me of when I introduced a 9 month neutered boar to my two 3yr old girls...... can confirm being neutered does not change the behaviour of a boar. When the girls came into season it was manic....😮😂 and they definitely encouraged him. Certainly made me hope the neutering worked 100%. The girls are over 4 yrs old now so I don't think they come into season anymore as it's been quite a while since I've seen the rampant behaviour 😊
Loved this video - we were glued to the telly and braced full of tension for Phoebe in diva mode! But as well as being utterly fascinating (they think they’re fierce creatures but they’re just floofy potatoes!) it was hilarious with the comments, well done Nacho and the ladies! X

Aww, I'm so glad it went well! I was hoping to introduce a boy piggy to my single boy today, but when I brought him home yesterday, I found out he was a she. The owners have had her for 3 years and were so shocked when I told them, lol. Unfortunately, my boy is not neutered so I had to give the girl piggy back and will keep looking for another boy. I'm very glad I checked before introducing them!

Aww, I'm so glad it went well! I was hoping to introduce a boy piggy to my single boy today, but when I brought him home yesterday, I found out he was a she. The owners have had her for 3 years and were so shocked when I told them, lol. Unfortunately, my boy is not neutered so I had to give the girl piggy back and will keep looking for another boy. I'm very glad I checked before introducing them!
