but what about the Kurtulmak? judging by pure statblock numbers he was much stronger than tiamat and at the same time used to participate in kobold life much more. So he is kinda both more scary and friendly to kobolds at the same time.
I loved the Secret Level episode. I can understand people being disappointed that it was as short as it was and not getting more, but that's all I can understand. As a short film, I thought it was brilliant. I absolutely loved the ending. Before I understood that it was a very short runtime, I was crossing my fingers hard for Bahamut to show up (my first ever character was a monk acolyte of Bahamut, so...), but still, what a great ending. I want that short to become a show so badly. I would definitely watch it.
@@seppalasiberian77 Secret Level is an Amazon Prime anthology series. Each episode is an animated short about a different game, mostly video games, but the first episode is a D&D short.
A part of me is like “why can’t WotC make any more beings as iconic as Tiamat or Vecna?!” But tbh the reason they’re so iconic is because they’ve been marinating in the sauce that is DnD since like what the 80s? In my opinion the best villians your campaign can have are those you make yourself, and that’s kinda the point. At this point no matter how you feel about WotC and DnD, keep in mind you can essentially do whatever you want with the system in your games. (Not to mention it’s VERY cheap if you know what you’re looking for)
Better question: Who is Bahamut? Yes I’m aware that they mentioned him in the last 8 seconds of the video, but I’m still salty about how unsupported he is in 5e. For those of who don’t actually know, he is the lawful good god of metallic dragons. He is one of the few Platinum dragons to appear throughout the history of DnD’s editions (yes there are others). He is much lesser known than Tiamat, and he doesn’t even appear ANYWHERE in 5th edition. Even in Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons, which is narrated by Fizban (WHO IS LITERALLY AN ALTER EGO OF BAHAMUT) we STILL only get a statblock for the Aspect of Bahamut, not Bahamut himself. Even at the end of this video they mention him in passing “we can talk about him at a later date if he gets his own show.” If by “show” they mean one of these videos then maybe they’ll make a video about him. But if they mean something like the old series from the 80s where Tiamat appeared in there, then I think we’re just never gonna hear more about him. Which is a shame because, if you somehow can’t tell, I think he’s really cool. Even if only as a concept, because frankly that’s kinda all he is right now. I hope we get an actual statblock for him (and his aspect if they continue making aspects separate stat blocks) in the new monster manual.
1:46 = Please bring back the classic D&D animated series. The fact that the '80s animated D&D series was referenced in Honor Amongst Thieves & than being mentioned here proves that they've not forgotten that that show exists. Please bring it back & as a continuation, not a reboot.
As a Dungeon Master, Tiamat is my favorite Goddess to play as. She may be evil, but she is likable enough to win over almost any Party if you play your cards right. And she isn't too evil either- she can be reasoned with since greed is her primary desire to increase her hoard and get more powerful, but she's intelligent to not delve into anymore deals carelessly (like prior with Asmodeus). Tiamat in one of my campaigns ended up assisting the party to take down the BBEG's greatwyrm, and all she wanted in return was credit so all chromatic dragons would actually worship her. It worked out beautifully.
Final Fantasy XIV made Tiamat and Bahamut tragic lovers (and siblings, Game of Thrones was all the rage at the time) which was a fun inversion of their roles in D&D.
I always make Tiamat and Bahamut the most powerful beings in my campaigns. The game is Dungeons and Dragons after all. Hell is just a dungeon for Tiamat and Mount Celestia is just a dungeon for Bahamut. I give them both divinity rank 20 and double their stats from 3E. The other gods and devil princes still live there but Asmodeus and Moradin are just second in command.
As a Kobold, Tiamat is the best dragon to worship.
Yo! The goat is here

It's just optimal really
Praise Tiamat!
Only through Gaknulak can kobolds reach their full potential

I loved the episode too but I wish Tiamat had more screen time because she looked amazing 🔥
What is the secret level episode?

That secret level party is screwed.
I like to see the likes of Tiamat and Acererak being pals with Chris!
Chris: Tiamat has 5 brains, she's super smart.
An octopus with a brain in each arm: that's cute
This is one dragon (with 5 heads) you don't want to mess with, let alone meeting her

Bahamut is Tiamat's brother who went astray and is sadly missed.
Hard agree. Everyone knows Tiamat. Where is Bahamut?
Chris pretty much just told us Bahamut is the next Secret Level D&D episode if Amazon continues with another season.
And then there's Sardior, the Ruby Dragon. The Tiamat and Bahamat equivalent for the True Gem Dragons

Even as a preteen I thought the cartoon ruined the game and 2E showed that I was right then.

What a fun interview. I am off to watch that episode of Secret Level again. XD
5 heads, 10 eyes, and still couldn't read the fine print on Azzy's contract? Just goes to show how dangerous of a lawyer he is. 😆
Azzy?

I could fix her 💕
I wish I could play a one shot with Chris as the DM. Can you imagine!
oh my god! That would be amazing!
That would be a Dream Come True! Still my favorite D&D Personality and I hope he's there to keep creative alive for years to come!
Love this format
Can't find the time or group to play D&D. I love listening to the lore though.
Thank you!

0:02 😅cool redesign but i kind miss the ears of the blue dragon
She will always be Takhisis to me.
Who is Warduke soon?
What about Bahamut? Platinum dragon needs some love.
Is it odd that I envisioned a Chromatic Dragon that loathes and has no respect for Tiamat and is Lawful Neutral?
My greatest wish is for her to be in the next DnD movie.
Feliz tiamat! Feliz tiamat!
bring back the fighting with two non-light weapons without having to resort to juggling?
Takhisis (Krynn) vsTiamat? Sibblings?

Monsterverse fan: bro Tiamat does not look like ghidorah
Dm: dude are you stupid
She is the Queen of Darkness in Dragonlance, would have been nice if you could have mentioned that.
The Secret Level episode was...fine for what it was.
But to be honest; for a D&D inspired piece of media, I expected more
God that is worshipped by Arkhan the Cruel
we need a collaboration between DnD and Fortnite urgently 😂
Tiamat is mommy
We know what was said about gygax and how making tiamat female is apparantly sexism.
We wont forget.

Meh...oh well back to Castles & Crusades...
Meh, I 'll find a game people are actually playing - like 5e.

It's charming in my opinion
Cuz ppl can have a good time and share that vibe with those watching the vid
