I never liked Disco, but I LOVED Donna Summer. What a voice and her tunes so much better than the typical repetitive disco tunes of the time. RIP Donna.
Woman has a voice like a battering ram. Knocks you flat every time. First time I saw her live, I'd though I'd been blasted by a high explosive. It's so hard to describe. Her recorded performances, however nice, don't do her justice. Her voice is not only precisely controlled, it's BIG, like an opera singer.
