Tenho 66 anos, curtir demais esta fase da minha vida jovem, eu imitava Travolta até no andar...meu rosto lembrava um pouco o dele....um pouco kkkkk. Oh tempo bom não volta mais!
He's the king of the 70s. My older brother was wearing bell bottom jeans, high heel shoes, and gold chains. He still keeps them in his closet. Those were the days.

Yeah, we had Select T.V., this, Grease, and Mary Poppins were my favorites, luckily Select ran these on heavy rotation. You would need 25 Brad Pitts to equal 1 Travolta, then.

Love this song, even more now than in 1977! This truly is the definitive disco era film. I think its status as a cultural phenomenon and the crazy success of the soundtrack album overshadowed how truly good John Travolta was in this. His depiction of Brooklyn teen Tony Manero striving for more in life than his tough, blue-collar upbringing is equal parts subtle, intense, heartbreaking and charming. It's a transcendent role that helped propel Travolta to superstardom.
It was a time to end all times, a movie so perfect to depict the spirit of the time. Iconic and lasting. It was good being a working musician during this era.
One of the best opening sequences to a feature film of all time. Up there with "To Kill A Mockingbird". Utterly brilliant cinematography and JT just struts for the man behind the camera. GOLD!
I feel extremely fortunate to have grown up in this era. I'm 56 now and it's still just like yesterday. It helped me move along in my dance career as a dancer. It gave me the confidence because he was such a magnificent entertainer. This movie along with the Bee gees will forever be in my heart always.

It seems like yesterday, when this movie changed my life. I was exactly 19 years old just like the character, and yes, I dressed like this and had a DA haircut. Even the Jewelry. And the platform shoes, until I got my Capezios. I also drank seven and seven and hung around a bunch of crazy friends. And we ate burgers at the same White Castle. The great times I had, will never be matched by anyone today. I danced all over New York, and New Jersey. I danced in Florida Discos and in Acapulco, Mexico. I was at most of all the top clubs in Manhattan. Clubs like The Fun House, Electric Circus, Adams Apple, The Red Parrot, Limelight, Studio 54, Regines, New York New York, Chevys, Bonds, Magique, Shout, and Roseland. In fact I met Madame Regine the owner of Regines. What a classy woman. She asked me how I liked her place. She just recently passed away. And one of the owners of the Fun House, who was gay tried to pick me up in Fort Lauderdale. This was the disco that Madonna was dating the DJ. He sent two of his boys to ask me to have a drink with him. When I explained to him that I was straight, he asked me that I was familiar to him. I stated that I went to his club a lot, and that's how he knew me. So what does he do. He tries to set me up on a date with France Joli. You remember her with her hit, Come to Me. Yeah dumb me, I didn't go on the date since I was seeing someone. But there were other discos in other parts of the city I liked to visit, like Elephas, Lemon Tree, Plaza Suite, Romeo and Juliets, Banana's, L' Amour, The Arena and yes 2001 Odyssey. When I wanted to dance Latin, Side Street in The Bronx and Ochentas in Manhattan were my choices. The Jersey Shore had some nice discos too. Montego Bay, Casablanca, D'Jais, Surf Club, Temptations and The Sundance were my place to go. But I did have a personal favorite in the Bronx, called Strawberries Disco. It became like one of two home discos for me. Everyone knew me here. And yes, I had a girl wipe the sweat off my forehead after dancing. I even had two older nurses both proposed marriage to me. And a big limo one night stopped there and a man asked the coat check lady about me, but I wasn’t there. She told me the next night. But there were two other areas that I have to mention, since they also had some of the greatest discos. Westchester County and Long Island was rich with discos. Discos like Hoops, 2nd Floor, Fonzies, Lallipop, The Riviera, Peach Trees, Fudgies, January's, Marty and Lenny's, 21 North and The Milky Way In Westchester. And in Long Island, the list was too long for me to list. These were my favorites. Cherry's was like my other home disco. I dated the hottest waitress here, so I knew everyone there. She was my Stephanie. She also wanted to be an actress, and she was some dancer. Her mom was in the TV business as a hair stylist. My first real love. She broke my heart just like in the movie. Also, The Trammps performed there regularly, and were a bunch of nice guys. One New Years Eve, the stage almost collapsed from how crowded it was. I was dancing right next to them. Other disco's like Uncle Sams, Metro 700, La'tique, Chaz, 231, Zachary's, Channel 80 and my Hampton's favorites La'Plaz and Lemans gave me great memories. And let us not forget about Summers Beach, Hot Dog Beach and Neptune Beach. Nothing better to not only dance at the bar, but bring Pina Colada's to the beach. There were so many discos in the late 1970's and early 1980's. I had a disco for every night even on Monday. I still remember watching the movie. What a great thing for the young generation, as this movie just pushed young people to dance. There was nothing better than to do the Hustle, with a dance partner, girlfriend or even a stranger that you just met. I remember dancing the Hustle, with two young women at the Copacabana Club at the same time. it seemed like we danced together for years. And I remember like it was yesterday, after we ended our dance to Barry Manilow's Copacabana, how they looked dumbfounded. They asked me who was I. And I stated Tony. We actually got an ovation from the crowd. You will never see that today. I watch young people today, who can't get off their cell phones, and who is just not in good shape for their age. This disturbs me. I would never trade those days with the present. I continued to dance, and was invited on a local dance show on TV, The Soap Factory Dance Show, after being seen by a female employee of the show. She stated her boss, who was the producer, needed to watch me dance, and she later became my dance partner. Unfortunately she hurt her back and couldn't continue. I then became a regular dancer for the show. I was put with the cute twins to dance with. That was in 1978, and I met the likes of Blondie, Musique, Melba Moore, Karen Young, Amii Stewart, Anita Ward, Patrick Hernandez, A young Stephanie Mills, and Peaches and Herb. In fact, RUclips now has some videos of those shows. And in the video of Karen Young singing Hot Shot, I was dancing the hustle, on the left side on the stage with my partner. And in other videos on RUclips I am dancing with the cute twins. What great times. Even after the show was replaced, I continued to Dance, by going to Fred Astaire Studios, so to learn some dances from the old days. I remember walking up the stairs to the studio, and being met by the most beautiful blonde young lady I had ever seen. And I still remember dancing with her, since she wanted to check out my skills. And my God, we were both made for each other. It was effortless, and she was so beautiful. We had incredible chemistry together. Unfortunate for me it was her last week since she was going to dance in a Broadway Show. But she then introduced me to the owner, in her own right was a super looking blonde older lady. So she wanted to see for herself what her instructor was so excited about. So she wanted me to dance with another instructor, so to see what kind of dancer I was. After my audition, she offered me a contract to be a dance instructor instead, which I had to turn down due to I just bought my own business. So again, I was dancing ballroom, in such places like The Waldorf Astoria, The Playboy Club in Great Gorge, NJ and at The Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, Florida. The friends that I made because of my dancing, was priceless. Friends from all over............New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Florida, Michigan and Philadelphia. To have the times I had with these great people were incredible. And yes, my name is really Tony and 100% Italian American. But my family only called me Anthony. And yes, people start identifying me as Tony Manero, after they watched me dance. I would start and the floor would clear for me. And I did win a dance trophy which I still have from a disco. But I would never wear that white suit. And at my wedding, the D.J and band I had, played music from Saturday Night Fever, and I was introduced as Tony, and performed a solo routine in front of 350 guests. I hope this wasn't too long for some, but when I think of those days, it brings a smile to my face. And I wish the young people of today could of had that those great times. And Thank You Mr. Travolta for doing a great job as Tony Manero. And to the writers who wrote the screenplay which was so strange how it was so similar to myself, and the disco life. And I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife Kelly who was one lovely lady. And for your loss of your son. May they both Rest In Peace.🙏🙏🙏
Hi, apart from writing your life story, big respect to you, sounds like you had a fantastic youth, done a great more than me at that age even if I went to a discotheque 6 nights a week , unfortunately those great times have gone and all we got is nostalgia, all the best from the UK.

As big of a song as Stayin' Alive is, and with an epic hook, I always come back to Night Fever is the better song, while there's EVERYTHING to love about Stayin' Alive. I think it's the grand structure of Night Fever...after the infectious primer of an intro the go-hard drops and it's on, and those wonderful strings. The build in the bridges w/the slick transitions into the EPIC chorus, w/those nasty little drum licks, all parts of this song are perfection. And to think, the Bee Gees were not even interested in the project, they were fully committed to their Beetles-rooted direction, no interest in delving into the new Disco genre AT ALL, didn't even read the movie script provided to glean any concepts for the songs...running it down to the wire, they cranked out FIVE songs for the soundtrack/movie IN ONE WEEKEND. NF and SA hit BIG on the radio when they came out, then faded into oblivion as Disco became passe...now they shine as the best from the era, each an undeniable vibe. Both SA and NF have grown into monsters beyond their Disco expiration date...forget about them for some months, throw them on...they sound just as fresh and delicious and as the total bangers they are and were when they came out.
I agree. Even though Stayin Alive was the iconic song of the movie, due to the opening scene when John is strutting his stuff, I think Night Fever is the better song of the two. But I love all the songs that the Bee Gees did. They are super talented and their voices are incomparable.
One of the greatest classics to come out of the seventies disco and music scene.Epic, nostalgic, memorable and iconic.A defining groove of the time.👌☺ 🌍😍🎤🎧🎹🍹🎺🎷🎸🎼🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Listen to Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars. You’ll swear it sounds just like 70’s Disco and R&B! So much of today’s Pop music is influenced by the great music of this era. The kids today love it but think that’s it’s all original. 😂
Watched this all my childhood and adult life - absolutely outstanding, absolutely magnificent, sends chills through me and makes me alive every single time xx
Travolta nailed it in the sequel, staying alive as well. To be honest, he's just about nailed in in everything he has done. I love the dance he does in the movie Michael.
im a 90s man, and i remember in our College annual event, this song was played and I was dancing with my close friends, drunk AF... gosh those days were so simple and good...
JT had more moves than allied van lines. It's nice to reminence, it makes you happy and sad at the same time. We can never go back, but we can always remember, just how much fun we had at that wonderful time in our life.
Seeing this movie for the first time, who would of thought Travolta would have the career he ended up having. With such variety and contrast. I wouldnt have guessed it.
Sometimes, by chance, unrepeatable and immortal masterpieces are created. This is the case with this film both musically and visually which rightfully entered the history of cinema.
*oh god how i miss these times,we were happy without cell phones, computers, video games and all these tecnologys we have today, but we had freedom to dream with movies like that..*
Yeah, as a kid at the time, it seemed like it was AWESOME to be a young adult. Fun. Now, Gen Z individuals seem...MISERABLE!!! They want to be sad, angry, and anxious.
@@jonathancummings3807 I'm one of the kids you're talking about. we never WANTED to feel like this...we were just never taught how to be autonomous since we were raised on screens
The Bee Gees Night Fever song is a classic on Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. John Travolta, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Steven Seagal, Denzel Washington, Robin Harris(RIP), Bernie Mac(RIP), Clifton Powell are my favorite movie actors. Sylvester Stallone directed John Travolta in Staying Alive movie which is a sequel to Saturday Night Fever movie. I like The Bee Gees.

Listen to the ground
There is movement all around
There is something goin' down
And I can feel it
On the waves of the air
There is dancin' out there
It's somethin' we can't share
We can't steal it
That sweet city woman
She moved through the light
Controlling my mind and my soul
When you reach out for me, yeah
And the feelin' is right
Then I get night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
Here I am
Prayin' for this moment to last
Livin' on the music so fine
Borne on the wind
Makin' it mine
Night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
In the heat of our love
Don't need no help for us to make it
Gimme just enough
To take us to the mornin'
I got fire in my mind
I get higher in my walkin'
And I'm glowin' in the dark
Give you warnin'
Sweet city woman
She moves through the light
Controlling my mind and my soul
When you reach out for me
And the feelin' is right
Night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
Here I am
Prayin' for this moment to last
Livin' on the music so fine
Borne on the wind
Makin' it mine
Night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to do it.

CHILE ARGENTINA AURORA AUSTRAL
Tears of joy in my eyes for the bygone golden era.
It was puré magic
Well done to Barry, Maurice and Robin for making this Movie what it is! [ to me a classic ] if Hd made B.s vids we wouldnt be here. I2d like to thank Quentin for reviving johns career! still love the music of the BeeGees!😊😊😊😊

Legendary, iconic magnificent a sound track that defined the 70’s .
Fantastic movie!
Listen to the ground
There is movement all around
There is something goin' down
And I can feel it
On the waves of the air
There is dancin' out there
It's somethin' we can't share
We can't steal it
That sweet city woman
She moved through the light
Controlling my mind and my soul
When you reach out for me, yeah
And the feelin' is right
Then I get night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
Here I am
Prayin' for this moment to last
Livin' on the music so fine
Borne on the wind
Makin' it mine
Night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
In the heat of our love
Don't need no help for us to make it
Gimme just enough
To take us to the mornin'
I got fire in my mind
I get higher in my walkin'
And I'm glowin' in the dark
Give you warnin'
Sweet city woman
She moves through the light
Controlling my mind and my soul
When you reach out for me
And the feelin' is right
Night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
Here I am
Prayin' for this moment to last
Livin' on the music so fine
Borne on the wind
Makin' it mine
Night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to show it
Gimme that night fever, night fever
We know how to do it
thank you Juan

This is the best track in the film and on the album.

Seriously! No mention of "How Deep is Your Love"?..🤷🤦
One of the greatest classics to come out of the seventies disco and music scene.Epic, nostalgic, memorable and iconic.A defining groove of the time.👌☺

I lived and breathed disco in the 70s. I loved it.
It’ll never come back, but it was fantastic.
Listen to Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars. You’ll swear it sounds just like 70’s Disco and R&B! So much of today’s Pop music is influenced by the great music of this era. The kids today love it but think that’s it’s all original. 😂
I never get tired of hearing this song.
Love it. Still one of my fav movies of all time. Great music, too.
maybe one of the best musicmovies
Oh yeah! Me too! ❤love this film love jt ❤️ bee gees John Travolta 💙
To me this is the most iconic Disco song and moment ever! 🪩 Thanks for posting this fantastic HD memory! ❤
It sure was fun growing up in the era!
Watched this all my childhood and adult life - absolutely outstanding, absolutely magnificent, sends chills through me and makes me alive every single time xx
Bring this back to the cinema! Classic ❤
I literally wore out two eight tracks of Saturday night fever ❤❤❤
Travolta nailed it in the sequel, staying alive as well. To be honest, he's just about nailed in in everything he has done. I love the dance he does in the movie Michael.
im a 90s man, and i remember in our College annual event, this song was played and I was dancing with my close friends, drunk AF... gosh those days were so simple and good...
Swayze and Travolta really entertained us back in the day 💛💛💃🏽💃🏽💛💛💃🏽💃🏽
Where did those lovely days go
💔
Kinda gave me goose bumps was a great time in my life and such a great soundtrack
John Travolta, forever, the best dancing.
JT had more moves than allied van lines. It's nice to reminence, it makes you happy and sad at the same time. We can never go back, but we can always remember, just how much fun we had at that wonderful time in our life.

Entonces no maduraste wei.
One of the best films of all time.

The greatest songs never get old.
Seeing this movie for the first time, who would of thought Travolta would have the career he ended up having. With such variety and contrast. I wouldnt have guessed it.
懐かしい❗私は、カンタベリーギリシャ館と、カーニバルハウスで、働いてました。もう、65才の爺さんになり、あの頃を、思い出すと、涙が、とまりません。
Sometimes, by chance, unrepeatable and immortal masterpieces are created. This is the case with this film both musically and visually which rightfully entered the history of cinema.
We have to remember that glorious era of music

Yeah, as a kid at the time, it seemed like it was AWESOME to be a young adult. Fun. Now, Gen Z individuals seem...MISERABLE!!! They want to be sad, angry, and anxious.

I loved this movie and grease
The Bee Gees Night Fever song is a classic on Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. John Travolta, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Steven Seagal, Denzel Washington, Robin Harris(RIP), Bernie Mac(RIP), Clifton Powell are my favorite movie actors. Sylvester Stallone directed John Travolta in Staying Alive movie which is a sequel to Saturday Night Fever movie. I like The Bee Gees.
Remember when I’ve got my hands on the vinyl record with this song and lots other hits, I felt that I am holding a fabulous treasure
