Remember the others are imitating "fender"...the 65 fender reissue stratocaster just looks right....hey it's a 65 fender stratocaster.the others sound good of course.but I'd like the real deal. These recent vintage reissues are aesthetically spot on to the originals and the pickup voicing are good.
The Fender warm and smooth sounding. Both Grosh and Suhr were very close. None of these disappoint. Suhr use to win on build quality alone. You paid a premium for that. I own a Suhr. Lately Fender has closed the gap. Congrats Fenny!
I’m surprised so many prefer the Fender. I can’t decide over the Grosh or Suhr. Both have amazing tone. If I were buying one it would come down to playability obviously. But I can’t afford either.
Fantastic comparision. All sounds is different. My personaly opinion - Grosh is best painted sound, very complete, Suhr in middle is a dominate, Fender is a thin...
A number of studies have concluded that louder usually sounds better to the listener when comparing speaker performance. The minor lack of volume consistency may account for some of the preferences. just saying.
Suhr. Last saturday I played a Suhr a friend of mine gave me. Believe me: it is an incredible guitar (I can tell this...I played it side by side with my Fender Custom Shop...). The Don Grosh is great, too.
Grosh 1st, Suhr 2nd, Fender last for me. However if you swapped pickups from the Gosh to the Fender and vice versa the Fender would be first and the Grosh last for me. Choosing which guitar to buy would require playing it and deciding which one feels right. Having played all three I find Grosh a bit better than Suhr. Fender AVRI a distant third. Fender Custom Shop is much closer but still not as nice as the Grosh.
I've watched several of these video and in no case have I found that the Suhrs sound objectively better than the Fenders. If I found a Suhr deeply discounted on CL I would grab it but no way I would pay retail for it.
Grosh, Suhr, Fender in that order. I've played a whole bunch of every manufacturer and that's how I would rank them if I was buying one. In my experience Suhr single coils are wound a big hotter and have a tendency to cut through a mix because of that. You hear a bit of that in this video. They're all great, but if I'm forking out my own money for a guitar, I'll go with Don Grosh and his team. Best NOS-type instrument maker IMO. For a super strat type of guitar, maybe a Tom Anderson or Suhr would be my choice. There's some nice custom shop Fenders out there, but they must be played prior to purchase because they are not all created within the same standard deviation as the boutique builders.
Suhr had more full tone than Fender,, which i liked. The Grosh sounded more open than the Fender. But seriously, I'd be happy with all of them by dialing in my amp. What are all their prices?
I thought the Fender sounded flat and dark. The other 2 were far more open and singing to me. I had a hard time choosing between the Suhr and Grosh, but the Fender was a distant 3rd to me.
It might be just me , but other than playability I still don't get the fascination with Suhr. And I have played many. Good guitars, yes, exceptional, nope.
Owned them all, and my collection is now 4 grosh, 2 fender (one pre-cbs, one my first strat which I keep for sentimental reasons), and 0 suhr (sold it to buy a fourth grosh!).
Yes Fender is that classic sound, neither the Suhr nor the Grosh couldn't win to the Fender, pretty vintage rich and clear sound. One that worths to compare to is the PRS John Mayer Strat, sounds full and articulate too, still glassy and clean with great sustain.
the fender sounds the best in this vid
Suhr hands down for me out of the 3.... all nice guitars though, great video! Fantastic playing! Cheers
The Suhr does it for me.
Can't out-Fender Fender! I need me one of those 65 reissues!
Which is the best in tone and quality for you ?thanks for your answer, best regards from France
Fender! =)
Very nice playing BTW. The Fender was brighter. You played more lively on the Suhr and the Grosh.
The Suhr sounded the one with most bottom end and kinda flatter EQ response, notwithstanding the humbucker pickup in the last example, of course
0:05 1:00 1:55
The Don Grosh sounds a bit better, definitely not enough to justify the price difference.
All sound the same to me........
Grosh is lose!!! Fender and Suhr Wins!!!
Fender sounds best...and probably is the cheapest one. ;)
Fender win! sweet the sound
Fender wins. Im a suhr guy but sound wise fender has the most mojo here. Perhaps its the pickups
FENDER SOUNDED MORE WIDE AND OPEN, MORE RELAXED SOUND
I'm actually surprised, I'm a Suhr guy but Fender really sounded the best. Wow!
The Fender warm and smooth sounding. Both Grosh and Suhr were very close. None of these disappoint. Suhr use to win on build quality alone. You paid a premium for that. I own a Suhr. Lately Fender has closed the gap. Congrats Fenny!
fender love but John win
a fender is a fender.

The Truth is Fender with warm/ round tone
I'm very surprised that I dig the plain ol' Fender the best, at least through this rig. Cheers!
Hi Music force team , im try to learn this solo . Could u tell me what is the name of this track and any available backing track for this video ?
Fender 65 Reissue by a million miles....
Fender
I liked the Fender best
Fender
Play with vocal go with Fender. Play guitar hero style go with Suhr.
Fender!
Fender has more sparkle in my opinion, but all 3 sounds great
Fantastic comparision. All sounds is different. My personaly opinion - Grosh is best painted sound, very complete, Suhr in middle is a dominate, Fender is a thin...
Shur

Necesito una Fender american vintage 65 reissue.

Superb! Could you please share the backing track or provide a link? Many thanks!
Suhr is the BEST ! Great guitar
Excellent video, you guys are awesome. Fender for me :)
Fender 65!
I dont know it sounds like suhr sustained longer than fender.
Just slightly different
Fender forever
La cápsula del puente de don grosh suena increíble !
hate to admit that Fender sounded the fullest
You can buy almost 3 fender with suhr price. But fender kicks them all
Fender in neck position sounds more rounded.
Doesn't matter. They are all great.
Love the Fender in this video.
what song is this ?
fender
Fender! sweeter and hotter
they are the same yet different :)
Fender for the WIN!!!
Paying 3 times the price of a Fender for a copy? No, thanks. I love my 2000 Fender Strat.
Wow!
Fender
Great playing!
The three sound the same!

your perfomance stop
