My personal favourite is Iryna’s. The control and artistry displayed is sensational. I miss the days of the interesting mount. SO MUCH.
I loved the way you edited the video. No talking, no annoying mantage. Only the athletes. Straight to the point. And I loved that every mount was shown twice.
The Rankin gal wins top props for me. How she managed to mount the beam with one hand is unbelievable.

2 and 8 were my favorites. most coaches prefer simpler mounts nowadays because the risk of falling isn't worth the deductions since the point system is different than Olympics of the past.
And the sadly underrated Vasiliki Tsavdaridou from Greece topping this incredible list! Love it, and i love this list!! It would have been easy to just list some of the most well-known beamers, but seeing Rankin, Garrison, etc was delightful. 💖🖤💖🖤
I thought number one would be one where the mount continues into a series on the beam, those are so cool
Agnes A Well Milosevic used to do that. After that swing down, she would do a back extension then another tuck swing down. When she connected it all, it was really fantastic
Daniele Hypolito did a Layout Stepout mount + BHS stepout + 2 Foot Layout at the 2000 Olympics

Can we get a full 2016 Rio Olympics Women Artistic Gymnastics Uneven Bars Finals?
Adam Binyamin yess please 🙏🏻 and i hope it’s the FULL version like they did with london 2012 and not that edited cut up bs where they only show the medalists routines. i really hope they release more 2016 rio wag videos because there isn’t too many on youtube considering the fact that the olympic channel really are the only ones who have permission to post them

Missing Yang Bo. Her routines are pretty epic. Hands down one of the most elegant balance beam gymnast ever.
Great list! I love the Erceg mount! Alexandra Eremia had a breathtaking mount as well.
The difference in muscle from the back in the day to now is crazy. It's amazing how some training has has changed and the differences are pretty obvious with women of today having more muscle on them. Even having longer careers now.
Well it helps the connective tissue and structures (cartilage ligaments and tendons not to mention bones) are given proper nutrition and the girls and women aren't being starved either. Even though I know closer to meets they will be more careful about what they eat. Eating disorders (coming from a person who has battled and is currently battling anorexia because as a teen I was rejected by a boy who only liked skinny girls now I'm chronically ill and it's all about control because I have no control over what happens in the rest of my life except if I choose to eat.. I beat back this monster before but this time it has a hold and won't let go my hope is no person male or female ever chooses this for themselves because it's a terrible fight to win. When you compound it with body dysmorphia it's almost hopeless. That my story) will happen with or without these sports that require you to be strong and flexible to be one of the greats.

Daniele Hypolito's mount in Sydney 2000 is one of the most impressive in olympic history!

I'm kinda surprised Moceanu's mount from the 1996 team finals wasn't on the list. One of the more interesting ones I've seen.

Dominique Moceanu's mount is a variation on Daniela Silivas' mount.
Imagine their wrist strengths.... They almost took it to the breaking point....

A swing down is so much easier than a landed back full or Arabian. This list is interesting but I totally disagree with the order.
Jay Petrova I’d agree that the order should be flipped but a Rufolva as a mount? I wouldn’t say that’s way easier than a full to your feet. Neither offers much room for error but that swing down, if you’re off even a little that’s going to be hella painful. But I’ve seen a couple of athletes do the Rufolva as a mount. I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone but Kelly do a full twist to the feet as a mount. Madness

the round off arabian was awesome! personally KGS's full should be flip flopped with the full twisting swing down(rulfova thingy). IMO it seems more difficult; additionally, it is aesthetically more pleasing.
In my opinion gymnastics was the best in the 80's hands down!! The sports just not the same anymore.

I've been looking all over the internet for Tsavdaridou's beam routine at the 96 Olympics AA final, but I haven't found it anywhere and it's so nice to see (esp. after her fall in the preliminaries) that she is #1 in this video with an amazing move that has been named after her. Can someone please post the video with her full AA performance?
Phenomenal!!! Every single one of these girls are as close as you can get to perfect fitness body. Obviously genetics comes into play with all of them, but minus that, they are all perfect and in the best overall shape a human can achieve. Amazing!!!

I know Milosevic's mount is named after her, but she didn't really perform it well. She didn't really hit the tuck position. Kerri Strug performed it better.

Unfortunately there’s no point in risky beam mounts anymore, some of those mounts will never be seen again unless the code of points starts to reward them properly
