    Just watched the entire video and honestly I really leart a lot and I feel more prepared to take the Google UX Course. I have been a graphic designer for about 3 years and I look to transition into the UX Field in 2024. Also looking forward to taking your Boring UI Course and others to support my transition. Thanks again

    this has been super interesting and insightful, thank you! i started taking the google course a while back, but needed to pause due to events happening in my life. before getting back into the course recently, I looked up "how to become a UX designer" vids on youtube AND THEY HAVE BEEN SO HECKING HELPFUL to give context to what I was learning, and to understand WHY i was learning those things. This video is super in depth about the google course specifically, but all the of the ones I've watched have been really helpful in better understanding what to pay attention to, and what I can take with a grain of salt. THANK YOU :)

    The most disheartening thing about the course is that probably about 1/4 of the homework I have had to peer-review was either a blank ppt or directly copied from a pro's dribble account. A few even said "Pass me," in their notes.

    I think that dramatic drop-off you see after the 1st module is the people that started the course in the Coursera Plus free week.

    Hello! I just found ur channel when I started studying UX/UI Design in the past 2 months, and it's been really helpful. I'm at the 2nd part of the video rn, but I did the 1st and just finished the 2nd Google UX Course; for me, I do think that the first part is really good to see if you really want to continue in this field. For the second one, it was a bit harder, but I think that's great! Because they took it deeper and we can finally understand what really is UX (researching). I didn't like the fact that other students were grading us tho. I lost 1pt bcs someone just wanted to, and yea, I also found a lot of people trying to get free points by doing nothing. But about the UX/UI of Coursera, it is waaaaaay better now. I do think it has space for improving, but it's not as bad as it was back then. The mobile version is not as responsive as the desktop one tho.
    Tysm for ur video (and I'll finish it xD), u're doing a great job. I'm gladly I found you.

Dziękuję za wspaniałe treści, jest Pan moim wielkim UX-autorytetem i śledzę już Pana kanał od jakiegoś czasu, dzięki czemu zainspirował mnie Pan do zmiany kariery! Hi, I’m half way through the video and it’s so very valuable - thank you. Im currently on course 3 of the google UX course. I have been working in design since 2002, in the last few years I have worked for small companies covering branding right through to no code websites using wix. I have also upskilled to learn motion design to further develop how brand identities communicate. I wanted to do this course to understand the terminology of what I already feel I have been doing intuitively for years. I really appreciate your insight especially on the “UI” elements as I feel this is where i feel I am most experienced and where this fits into the UX field of design. I’ll look at sharpening up my skills through your courses after I complete this! Thank you

    Hello Michal,
    Thank you for your full review on Google UX Design Course. I've recently completed this course and I am trying to land a job as a UX researcher, designer.
    You asked to share opinions about this course, and I have a lot to say (I started to post my thoughts on Medium).
    I agree with the fact that this course requires much effort, but at the end, all these knowledge is only the basics. Unprofessional response from peers, lack of UI guide and other small things you mentioned - altogether make this course not enough to land a job. I tried so hard to finish the second project, and even thought to give up because I didn't understand how to do UI part! I am more "coding" person and far from arts (but I am trying to improve my UI skills!) By the way, your UI book helped me a lot to finish hi-fidelity prototypes for second and third projects (red square method became my favorite one!) Thanks for this book too!
    Based on the learning experience of Google Course (anyway, I am grateful they made this course) I would like to have it shorter: maybe one demo project and one real student's one, BUT that one should cover all desired areas of knowledge, and, as a result, project will consists of a dedicated mobile app and a responsive website. I know one project is not enough for portfolio, but having at least one high-quality project is a necessity.

    • @MalewiczHype
      @MalewiczHype  9 месяцев назад +4

      Our UX course will be shorter, we've seen some similar comments before that people get too bored with the length and that peer grading is a horrible way to learn too.

    Great videos as always ❤❤..but I am badly in need of a very flexible design process that could work for both mobile / Web to tackle small to medium freelance projects(yeah design is an iterative process but still something digestible ,as using a huge design process for smaller projects can turn quite hectic). Would love to see you in action doing a complete product from scratch (practical way of bringing unique ideas into better ux patterns to advance Ui exploration like diving much much deeper into colors and type to get them work together according to the project mood) so maybe pro - juniors can then shift on advance ui and ux techniques after learning the basics

    • @MalewiczHype
      @MalewiczHype  9 месяцев назад +2

      A lot of that is in my web design courses (that process in a more complete way)

    I finished Google UX Design course on financial aid twice. I tried to learn more from other sources in terms of UI design. I can't tell you how grateful I would be if you take a look at my case studies. It can give you a further idea about how effective the course is for a person who dedicated this much.

      For most people I recommend either my free stuff on this channel and insta, or my UI courses instead of part 5 as it simply is a bit of a waste of time to do it. Certificate is worthless, so completeling all 7 segments is not essential really.

    I've took Google UX course and quit after completing 6 Segments/sub-courses, and yeah Adobe XD is still included in the course. This course contains a lot of information repeated over and over again through out the entire curriculum.
    Peer Grading thing is Just horrible, and as you've said there are some cheaters. I've seen people submitting others projects and case studies by stealing from behance and medium.

    Hi! I just started course 3 and I am planning to finish everything faster than Google expecting.. do you think is it possible? there is a "Discussion Prompt" besides video and readings - and it is blocked, says "This item will be unlocked when the schedule begin". So looks like I have to wait and pay for my subscription even if I am going faster on the course, am I right ? thank you!
