You bridged humongous gaps in my education in an only hour and a half on 2X speed. I feel empowered to fulfill my app idea and I am forever indebted to you.
Once again you were brilliant! Helping us understand the basics! I was already familiar with Figma but this course and your 10 hour UI/UX course have helped me even further. Thank you! Anyone who isn't sure if its worth it. I can assure you it is!
Wow, this is an amazing video on UX and UI i have ever seen, so many doubts are getting solved by watching this. This is a complete project work. Thank you so much for this Video, i really wanted to see the actual processes of a UX/UI Project.👏
This is an absolutely amazing 4hrs spent. The content is informative, the delivery is clear and concise. Thank you for spending the time to deliver this. Worth more than its' weight in gold.
Great work. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I heard about figma on Fiverr and wanted to understand what everyone were talking about and you provided more than just a basic. Thanks a lot
Awesome video man. Helped me understand an app prototyping process and got some great figma hands on practice too. Nice to build an app from a business perspective.
That was a real GEM! Thank you Brendon, learned a lot! This may seem as a silly question but I just wondered if that same user research system can also be applied in a web design project as well?
for the survey portion, can we ask the client themselves to post the survey?, since they are a company, they have a much easier access to the target audience, i am a student in ui ux design, i started learning about a week ago, i dont have too many friends i can send surveys too, and they may not be too interested either, also as a beginning freelancer i dont know too many people, how do i reach out to more people whom i may not know personally to participate, also how do i know what sort of questions to ask in the survey, since i dont work for the company i am just a designer, and different companies have different needs, in this video since the instructor is highly experienced they know what to look for, how do i get that sort of experience? please help, also i love the work you guys do, its beautiful, i am learning a lot, thank you.
ok i figured this out. for anyone else who was having trouble with this these are the steps that i needed to do. copy or grab input asset, rt click to detach it, remove auto layout, it now becomes a frame, changed text, find icon, size it, put it in the frame on the side you want. change color of icon, click on whole frame which included input box, text and icon add auto layout then go to advanced settings and change it from packed to space between. now it is responsive. then I made it a component.
Nice course, learned a lot. One question though, for this type of app we need a bit more than users to survey :) Lets say we have 10k+ results, what is the best way to analyze them. I guess putting the info into figma would be a bit of overkill.
Thanks for raising this up. I think the problem statement and project scope can be a great filter to eliminitate some result and focus on the most important to tackle. There are surely other tools out there that can easy the process of such big result. hope this help.
would like to see a video in depth on explaining auto layout and setting constraints. when I set an auto layout text to fill content and set another auto layout to fill content, the text will reset to fix. WHY??? as well as how you decide your spacing between elements not just the 8px rule. Is there a set spacing from top of page to first element? is there a rule that elements next to each other is 16px? is there a rule that elements beneath each other is 24px?
so talking about how Anne Folake name thing was displayed on the screen, do we make a page which collects all the basic information like name, date of Birth and gender, etc after signing up, for the user's name to be displayed on the home page? are you trying to hint that over here?
Thank you for this wonderful course. It’s really been helpful.. But I do have a question. The funding of account by transfer, is the transfer done from the local bank account into the app? Where exactly is the transfer coming from? Thank you as I await your reply
Great video! Thank you. Shouldnt the pass from low fidelity to hi-fi be based on User Testing not Stakeholders? Like write give out Tasks to accomplish to possible users, then record how they do their tasks
I never knew the reason for user research. As someone with an engineering/science background, I consider myself able to think of contigencies and redundancies before they happen far better than any user could. Like you want someone who probably doesn't know more than you about UI design to tell you about where a button should be? As Steve Jobs once said, "People don't know what they want until you show them."
I think you are missing the point. User research is important and all the top tech companies like FAANG utilise user research and considering that one of the top reasons why start-ups fail is because they are creating something that people don't actually want to use really highlights how important user research is but it is also massively overlooked by people like you. For example, if you have an app and you are only 30% of users are going past the landing page, is it because they are confused? Is the information unclear? Does the website look unprofessional? Is the price too high? These are questions can only really be answered by doing user research. A sample size of a group of engineers who know the ins and outs of the project is not useful, you want a potential customer who is discovering this for the first time. What Steve Jobs is referring to is that you need to get your prototype or product in front of the users and see how they interact with it. You can't just ask questions with no basis. In the beginning that might work to get a general idea but to really move forward you need to evaluate how people are interacting with what you are making.

Anyone who is new to user research, Don't start with user surveys bc they are hard to get correctly. Start with user interviews.
hello sir, could you please elaborate more on that? i am a beginner in ui ux design.
Surveys can be a great way to screen people whom you'd interview as well, so this can be a little misleading.
Thank you, Brendan and the entire FCC team.

Is there a GitHub or other source where we can find the Figma files for the example? Usually that is in the Description but I didn’t see it there.
