    He’s going to be better than Danault

    This is so dumb, how do you compare a purely offensively gifted prospect with Danault one of the best shut down centres!?
    If you had said Beck I’d listen, but this is not a great comparison.

    danault is a completely different player.

    The only thing I know about Hage is this: My buddy has an amazing track record of predicting future NHL players during the draft. He has pointed out so many mid-tier guys that turned out to be great players over the years that I tend to never doubt him when he says a guy is going to be good eventually.
    For instance, he wanted the Habs to pick Gallagher in the third round the year he was drafted and he was ecstatic when we picked him in the fifth round.
    He really wanted Hage this year.

      I agree with your friend hage has all the tools to be a highly lethal offensive player. Hes a great skater has great vision and a great shot (he could use it more) but with the right coaching and development he will be a great top 6 forward

    Hage is 3 years away from a first NHL contract (he will finish university first) and he will need to build his mass to become grittier. Beck will play 3rd line time before Hage.

    Michael Hage is Michael Hage. Philippe Danault was a 28th 1round pick by the Chicago Blackhaws before he reach the NHL until he was 26 years old and was stuck as the 4th line Center before he explosed in Montréal. He decided to change scenery to sign a 6 yrs contract with the Los Angeles Kings. Owen Beck 2022 MTL 2nd 1rst 33 overall maybe closer to Phil Danault than Michael Hage 2024 MTL 1rst 21 overall.!

    It looks like the Habs will not have a 4th line. Move Slaf to 2nd line with Dach, and you have a 1a, 1b, 2nd, and 3rd line. They will be crazy good! Cheers

    Hage will be the second line center, if he didn’t lose his father he would have been a top 10 pick…Dach will be on the wing…

    Hage should have more offensive upside. Hopefully though he can be as good a shutdown 2 way forward. Time will tell but I am excited for the Habs future.

    I’m I the only one who finds that Snake always says all of the Habs Centers are middle to bottom 6 centers? I feel Hage has that top 6 potential at worst middle 6 but I have high hopes for the kid might be a little biased as a have fan

      Demidov will be your most talented forward in 5 years. He is so good. Why aren’t you crazy about him. He’s a fantilli level prospect and if he was in NA would have challenged celebrini for 1st ovr imo. Just like michkov last year

      @@user-pn3gt2ij5e Everyone is going crazy over the Demidov draft. Let's wait and see. We don't know how he will respond to NHL pressure and intensity. From the highlights I've seen of him in the MHL, nobody laid a glove on him while he was buzzing around the ice. They could have hit him but they did not! Time will tell how good, or bad, he will be. It won't take Montreal fans long to get on his case if he doesn't perform well immediately.

      @GuillaumeRouleau 19 дней назад

      @@user-pn3gt2ij5e it's true he's got soft hands, in fact he has a good skill set but I'm not sure he's going to produce like crazy.... we'll see how is his hockey I.Q

    • @user-pn3gt2ij5e
      @user-pn3gt2ij5e 19 дней назад +1

      @@GuillaumeRouleau his iq is the best part of his game. Sure his highlights are a lot of dangles and what not but watching a Full game he has a lot of nhl tendencies and is great at finding teammates and leveraging them to get open. Only time will tell if this translates but a year in the khl will probably help the transition

    • @user-pn3gt2ij5e
      @user-pn3gt2ij5e 19 дней назад +1

      @@andrewwhyte9944 the nhl isn’t an overly physical league and he isn’t all stick handling. He’s a passer and is great at making the simple passes as well as the ones nobody sees. And that is very translatable
