I have never seen a couple that works so well together. You two clearly show that it doesn't have to be her job or his, you do them together. I'm amazed at how strong Arielle is for her size. I really love watching your videos, I find your building projects creative and intriguing. Your cooking and gardening videos are equally educational and informative, and the food always looks yummy. I feel the love that you two have for each other and your animals. Thank you for showing the world what true love and respect looks like. Blessings.....💞💐🙏🏾

The starting over second place just melts my heart. I want out of the rat race so badly. I'm a grown ass man just crying a tiny bit over what you have. Not jealously just happiness for what you two have made together.
I miss what these two have. Nine years in Montauk, commercial fishing. It's wonderful watching them. If you can, just go and make it happen for yourself on some level. I'm now in Central NY, my house high up overlooking city but I have wilderness behind me. It's as rustic that I can manage and I love it. So on some level, roughing it some is possible.

Best line..Ariel says, "I think you're on fire, I'm pretty sure", calmly...as there is steam coming out of Eric's pants as you stand by the stove. You guys are such a great team! Sometimes we don't hear the words Ariel says, but her voice is so musical and uplifting!

You two are a power couple! I so love the way you love Bou & Bandit, it's beautiful! I love the way you work so hard & together! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family life!
Yes, I agree Brenda. Such a nice collection of photo's to complete the vlog. Better than some of the home movies I've watched in times past. Eric and Arial have a real knack at getting great shots. Well done guys, you're both better than TV. :-)

We use it at the shelters when we make warming huts for stray cats/pups in the surrounding neighborhoods. Anyways love the work you guys always do for us.
@@NickRichards7 - I could just tell. I've watched a *few of their videos. I'm a #superfan. But whats your point really? Figure of speaking ("one second in"). I should have simply said, "right away".
Wow he makes splitting logs look easy. 😁😁. I am addicted to this channel. It's amazing how much they can get from the land in a harsh environment. I also like that the gentleman cooks. It's awesome.
The best way to enjoy the winter is to lay in the sofa with a nice warm cup of tea and watching some of your videos. Basically the are super boring because most of the time nothing happens. That is so relaxing. Love your channel
When you felled the big tree (27:38), Eric, you did it so cleanly, I had to show it to my mother. Her father (my grandfather) worked in the timber industry out on the Washington coast, and we both agree Grandpa would've been proud of how well you did. I then showed it to my father, and he said that he as a landscaper (almost 20 years pruning & felling experience) was proud of how perfectly you placed that tree. AND he said that his brother, having worked for Puget Power (the big power company for the county around Seattle) helping fell trees to clear power lines for decades before his own retirement long ago, also would've been proud of you. So that's five big thumbs-up from my family, three of 'em professional thumbs!
I’m so jealous and the part at the end with the photos was amazing you captured you mood perfectly ❤️🏴❤️🏴thank you for your precious time kindest regards tam
I lived in Alaska in the 70's. My 3 daughters in grade school in Anchor Point, AK. Homesteaded 10 acres. Backhoeed a artesian well dug our own sewer line and used a burned out car shell for sewer. No yellowpages to get help or couldn't buy on line when we were off grid. I left because I couldn't live off grid without help. My heart ache for the beauty and the most talented people I ever met. I brought the love of the land back to Oregon with me. I love your self sufficiency . Stay safe.
What incredible vistas you have from those glass windows. I cannot wait to see the sparkling lake this summer from those same windows. Already, you have done so much to make the cabin habitable, and by this summer I am hoping you will be catching lots of fish to cook and enjoy. Kudos to both of you for all that you have accomplished.
I'm glad to see that you young folks like to work puzzles . I just finished a 1000 piece of an aerial view of a pine forest . just tree tops . took me 36 days to work . my toughest one by in 60 years .
Me and pop started a snow/evergreen Christmas/cabin horses ponds and golden retrievers (and an old red pickup) 5000 pieces. We worked on it for probably 4 months (during Pandemic). We finally gave up a put it back in the box! Lol.
I felt a little sad when it was time for ya'll to leave the cabin. Really enjoyed this one! Ya'll came up with so great solutions to help Bo & Bandit travel in luxury. The trip seemed much easier on them. Glad ya'll had some time to relax too.
It makes me smile to see Bo and Bandit at the cabin, all wrapped up in blankets on their own beds! Lovely montage at the end and great music. Livin' the dream!

The still life pics at the end of this video were a wonderful addition and one I hope you continue. Loved the music you chose to go with the pics -- it made everything so sweet and serene.
I really appreciate a good potato also. Cool video guys. What a great place you have scored there. We really like the photos at the end. Cheers! Jay and Gin
Good job on clearing out the trees. That's tricky work when it's close to the house. You guys eat better than anyone I know. Good on you. Love how you care for Bo and Bandit. They're good dogs. It's nice to see you both happy. Stay strong.

Brings me great joy👍 Your having a blast at your new cabin👍 B Deacon Manitoba Canada
I really love the pictures you took of each other too. When you are my age you will treasure those memories and tell yourselves you were pretty bad ass too!!! I kept hoping when you were chopping the wood that none of the pieces would fly up and hit that big window! But you have skills!!! You made felling trees look easy. Just love how you bake fresh rolls and make such delicious meals in the cabin. Thanks for sharing your lives. Some of us can only dream of what living off grid and in Alaska is like.
This trip looked like you finally had some time to really relax and enjoy it. The dogs too. The bone broth was a good. Idea for them. Loved the still shots. Way to go downing the trees. Cold enough for a snow mustache lol. Keep safe and warm. Hope the chickens and your cat are warm and safe..
Arielle the end of the video almost brought me to tears. I've watched you both for so long, all the way back in Oregon, such a journey. I have 4 favorite channels; Simple Living Alaska, The Nomadic Movement, Eamon and Beck, Hannah Duggan. Every one of them started with Van life (except SLA) and now have old beautiful cabins they're turning into their happy place. Hannah is out in her van now, running from the cold 😆. I so wish I would have been more adventurous. My health won't allow it now, who am I kidding my health wouldn't have allowed it then. I really suck at having a body. I live vicariously through each one of you. Truly you both are my favorite couple, I admire how hard you both work. I would say enjoy it you two but you both are enjoying it. It's present in everything you do and that joy is contagious. So if joy is the only thing I catch in 2021 I would be very lucky. Thank you, sending all the good vibes💚
So, let me see if I understand this correctly You moved from Oregon to a remote dry cabin in Alaska to drastically simplify your lives. Then you spent two years upgrading the tweaking everything on your property and new home to make it work for you. Then you buy a smaller and even dryer cabin four hours away from the middle of nowhere to get away from it all Do I have that right? PS Love you guys, be safe, and keep the videos coming
@@CmoreAnts I'm sure once Cellular service reaches the new cabin they may have to find something more remote. I'm sure pilot license might be in their future.
Remote, no electricity, a lake, no people, adventure, living the dream. When you crave that life you get it. Eventually children playing and fishing by the lake, Christmases spent with family not presents up at the cabin, a legacy of memories to be made, relaxing and admiring the life they've built together. What a hard-working blissful life.
The reason I like this channel is that they actually live full time off grid. There are many other channels that make it seem that they do but they only live there part time
Wow...this is probably the most beautiful video you two have made. The still shots at the end are fantastic. You captured a moment in time. As if the need to preserve it was most important. Very heartfelt and touching moments.
Hi. I love how you can laugh at yourselves at times. Ya'll hug, high five, kiss, sometimes get annoyed at times . You don't edit it out. You show your emotions to situations n not just the situations of scenery. Continue being you, continue bringing us beautiful scenery of your beautiful state. Peace to you and yours

I have enjoyed your channel for quite a while now...but lately I find you have become my sanity break during a stressful time. Thank you for sharing your lives. Such a wonderful time in your lives to do all this. Your young, married, no kids yet, enjoying life to the fullest. Good for you guys ♥️
Gosh, love how happy they are in thier life choice.
What a life you live, I live vicariously through you! Do neighbors take care of your cat on your cabin visits?
I've been wondering about what happens at the homestead when you're gone too. Who takes care of the chickens?
Married a good one glad that tree didnt hit the cabin HA
You are such a happy, fun loving, hardworking couple. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Be safe and healthy!
I really love how you take Bo and Bandit with you in there little mobile kennel on skis.
It’s brill. Well done you. 🇬🇧👍
"There is just something about a good potato" I literally had this exact thought the other day, haha - so true. Great video as always.
I really appreciate a good potato also. Cool video guys. What a great place you have scored there. We really like the photos at the end. Cheers! Jay and Gin
This might be my favorite video you've posted! Love the dogs, teamwork and the beauty of Alaska. Stay safe and warm!
Good job on clearing out the trees. That's tricky work when it's close to the house. You guys eat better than anyone I know. Good on you. Love how you care for Bo and Bandit. They're good dogs. It's nice to see you both happy. Stay strong.
Bo is definitely my spirit animal. 👍 He and I would be cuddled under the blankets, watching yall thinking no way, uhuh. Love the videos! 🌹
True match made in heaven! You guys were meant for each other🙏🏻 Enjoy your videos very much. Love your outdoor adventures. I miss being in the woods and on the water. Horrible MVA Dec2017. Can’t walk. PTSD so bad hate driving in the truck. So I live through you guys to pass my time each day. Thank you so very much. Brings me great joy👍 Your having a blast at your new cabin👍 B Deacon Manitoba Canada
I love how kind you are to your pets and how they are your “kids.” 🐶
I really love the pictures you took of each other too. When you are my age you will treasure those memories and tell yourselves you were pretty bad ass too!!! I kept hoping when you were chopping the wood that none of the pieces would fly up and hit that big window! But you have skills!!! You made felling trees look easy. Just love how you bake fresh rolls and make such delicious meals in the cabin. Thanks for sharing your lives. Some of us can only dream of what living off grid and in Alaska is like.
I love watching you both, please keep up the good work. Do you plan to have kids in the near future?
This trip looked like you finally had some time to really relax and enjoy it. The dogs too. The bone broth was a good. Idea for them. Loved the still shots. Way to go downing the trees. Cold enough for a snow mustache lol. Keep safe and warm. Hope the chickens and your cat are warm and safe..
My wife loved the puzzle one of her favorite things to do on a Saturday afternoon. Looked ok like a great weekend for spending time and relaxing.
I envy the lives you two are living. Free. like it's supposed to be.
So relaxing, food is always so inviting, l love how you have made your beautiful fur family so comfortable, your love for them shines through 🥰🙋🏻♀️
So, let me see if I understand this correctly
You moved from Oregon to a remote dry cabin in Alaska to drastically simplify your lives.
Then you spent two years upgrading the tweaking everything on your property and new home to make it work for you.
Then you buy a smaller and even dryer cabin four hours away from the middle of nowhere to get away from it all
Do I have that right?
PS Love you guys, be safe, and keep the videos coming
i believe they have another property that they are building another cabin on. they chopped almost 100 trees on that one.
They moved from Bay Area ca. To Oregon. LoL.
@@CmoreAnts I'm sure once Cellular service reaches the new cabin they may have to find something more remote. I'm sure pilot license might be in their future.
Resources are different at each spot they own. I feel a rental empire in the making for hunters and folks who want to “ get away” for a bit.
There are many other channels that make it seem that they do but they only live there part time
One of the best YT videos I've yet to see. The stills and acoustic guitar are a master touch, and touched.my wrinkled.old heart
Yay! Love your videos! Thought about you earlier when I was shoveling 9” of snow. I have enjoyed your channel for quite a while now...but lately I find you have become my sanity break during a stressful time. Thank you for sharing your lives. Bo and Bandit are so fortunate to have you.
Congratulations on almost being at 300k subscribers - very well deserved following. Take care!
i realy love how you treat your dogs, treating them as part of the family is the best things to do. keep it up guys stay safe and thanks for the journey👍
