I’m old and crippled. I love watching you two adventurers Everything you do brings us into your adventure with your filmmaking and the way you interact with us, the audience, and how you interact with each other. Partners, lovers and great companions. Thank you for bringing your adventures to us on a regular basis. You bring a bit of excitement into my life and I’m so grateful.
I feel exactly the same way! I wish I had been able to do things like this in my younger years and I tried my best with two young girls to bring as much adventure into the great outdoors that a single mom is capable of but I sure would have loved to have had a companion and lover to share in all the heavy lifting because oh the adventures we would have had! Now I’m happy to just have a wonderful husband that shares in daily life and takes such amazing care of me! It’s so much fun to watch your videos!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🥰🇨🇦
I'm not religious, but for some reason I need to say (in case you are) God bless you, and be as happy as possible. 😍 You might consider putting a shield around the old guy in the sled?
@Sandy Marcelo, They're both older. I believe 12 yrs. Bo is most like me as well. Bandit reminds me of my elderly mom, always on the go. He's a true hunting dog.
We have public use 'cabins' in Scotland too, although they are mostly built of stone, called a 'bothy'. Same principles apply though and they are a great municipal asset and demonstration of community spirit. Thanks for your videos!
You two are the bravest people I’ve seen. No fear when it comes to exploring or fishing on solid ice. I just love this channel. PS - your food always look so good.
Hell here in north western Ont. CANADA WE drive our 4x4 pickups 7 miles on the ice on the largest of the great lakes. To ice fish for lake trout an fresh water salmon hearing walleye
If there is moving water under the ice it can cause the ice to be thin. On some lakes near us the ice can be 14 inches thick and if you walk 5 feet away it can be 4 inches thick. It is always best to be careful
A few years back when I first started following you guys I held my grand daughter hostage (10) and made her watch with me. know she alerts me when you drop a video excitedly. My husband and I have been married for over 51 years. Most of our free time has been spent in a boat or out on the ice. My husband has some health issues which have kept us from fishing the past couple years. We will miss it greatly, but thankful for all the memories But we sure have the great memories, and have eaten many a walleye together. I'm so happy to see couples younger than us enjoy this kind of life, even the Yahtzee games. We also enjoyed cribbage.
I need to know - did Eric find the dollar? Your two boys are perfect examples of well-loved dogs. I absolutely love your videos; great videography, beautiful surroundings, and you two (four). It doesn’t get better than that❤
@@SimpleLivingAlaska I bet it was stuffed behind one of those many coat pegs that caught your attention. If you had discovered one of the pegs was loose in the hole into which it was shoved, wouldn’t you have folded up the dollar and inserted the peg on top of it? I would have :)
@@SimpleLivingAlaska hello you two. I've been a subscriber of your Channel for almost 5 years? I have watched you go through your ups and downs and I gotta say that I've learned from you. You should be very proud of yourselves. I've lived off grid in Trapper Creek Alaska for 20 years now and I'm 61 now and I'm going to need to settle down to my senior years and I'm having a hard time with making myself do it. I've been on my own now since Henry has gone home to heaven. I'm going to have to start getting hired help. I just had to tell you that I love you both and thank you for teaching me some things. I'm going to be sending a couple of my older goats to the north pole to be able to retire in a heated barn. I'm going to be keeping the 2 one year olds for a bit yet. It's getting harder to get hay for them on my own, but I'm not ready to give up yet. Take care. Stay strong and healthy.
Denali is one of the most majestic mountains I've ever seen in my life. I spent my first years in Boulder and later in my teens I climbed at the base of the Swiss Alps. I've seen the Appalachian mountains as well as many other mountains across the world and honestly nothing compares to that time of year with Denali as your view. Just gorgeous. The end was hysterical! Thanks for the chuckle!
I don’t know if you follow Modern Homestead Alaska but Jessica and the kids went ice fishing and on the way out her throttle froze on the 4 wheeler and she crashed into a tree. Be careful out there.
Baklava is that dessert that is very high in honey and phillo pastry. I loved this video mainly because it had a little of everything in it. What a joy to beable to have a nice cabin to enjoy there. Thanks from Oklahoma
Talk about a getaway 😉 with some absolutely amazing views. Alaska is not only a amazing huge expanse of absolute beauty 😍 with so many natural ways for those who love the outdoors to totally decompress. It's 2023 and I am still loving everything that this channel has to offer. Thank you so much Eric, Ariell and give Bo and Bandit a hug 🤗 for their contribution also. Happy New Year!!
It's great to see Beau is still holding his own. I enjoy all of your animals and the wild ones as well. They bring such life and interest to your videos.
Snowmobiling on the frozen lakes in the upper peninsula of MI is crazy fun: thanks for the great memory of spending time with my brother there before his untimely death.
Tip about that lantern case. If you do not have it snapped in EXACTLY SECURELY, the bottom will drop out with the lantern and you'll be replacing globes on a regular basis. I purchased a new lantern in such a case and the first thing that happened when it was opened was the bottom dropping out and the globe breaking. The best lantern cases Coleman ever made were the yellow clam shell types that can only be found on eBay. Even if the lantern rolls around in that thing, they will not break.
Always brings a smile to my face when I get to see Ariel & Eric, Bo & Bandit on an exciting Alaskan adventure. Sending you positive vibes and blessings from Northern Indiana ❄😊
Beautiful view of Denali! Your energy amazes me and all you do in one day, be it work, recreation or both! The fish fry looked really good!
