I appreciate wealth and those that can achieve it. But the comment that the kids can't make friends because they move around so much, Wow!. It's great having vacation homes, investment properties etc but one thing I can appreciate about my life is that I have provided my daughter with a stable home where she has, and most likely will have for the rest of her life, the friendships she's made before even going to kindergarten. Going to the park with them everyday. Coming over and playing. Going to school together etc. Money can't buy you that. And I chose to leave the USA, high paced life, and moved to Europe to a village with less than 5000 people. So safe we don't even have police. I could have all the money in the world and I would still live there, wouldn't take that life away from her.

They bought a house next to yours, wanted to renovate, ruin the entire neighborhood, then bailout as if they were never there. The real long term owners are screwed and the wealthy moron who just caused them serious pain, and probably longterm devaluation of their property, that person is nowhere to be found.
So, they buy houses that cost millions. They furnish the houses with lots of valuables. When they are finish decorating, painting and installing whatever material dingy they feel should go with the house, they move and leave just to return once or twice per year. But what is the purpose of it...Well the purpose of buying a house and spending millions in it is just to shunt the property and valuables. To shunt then in the face of the poor, the neighbors and the world.. But mostly to that have to work up to 90 hours per week, just to pay bills and mortgage and end the week broke. That shunting business make them feel powerful, happy and important... They come twice a year to visit their "children" who are installed in a very expensive institution (not in the mansion). While they are away their children are studying and experimenting with drugs, alcohol and everything that have to do with whatever their parents do not want them to gt involved.... I met a family like that, in fact I lived in a family like that... Today I, work 60 hrs per week and pay my mortgage.,taxes and bills, plus any other expense. I go on not very expensive vacations than I used to, Today, I have a wife and two children that are my life. I am happy.. I do not have to worry about my millions because I have none. But I have peace of mind.. My children are happy and an important meeting to me is a PTA at my kids school. Known how they are doing and making anything for them to know I care. My other monthly meeting is with my wife. Taking her out and letting her know how appreciative I am of all she does for the kids, the community and myself. The rest of my time is showing my love and care for my family and my job... I would not trade any of that for a mansion with a swimming pool fill with money. There is much more than that in life. I already lived the mansion era when I was a child and my parents used to get rid of me with any excuse. Today I am established as a dad and a husband. I love my family. That is the most important thing that life can give anyone regardless of their financial status. i am proof of that. Peace, love, care and understanding are priceless. and that is what I have today which is much more than all the mansions of the world
In the USA if your neighbor builds extra rooms in their property there is no problem, but if by adding extra rooms and space to their properties they damage the neighbor home. The neighbor is entitled to file a law suit again'st the neighborhood, the neighboring properties and inconveniences.. The suit should be file again'st the person who ordered the renovations and the construction company that does the job. If this neighbors are having problems they should all file together what they call in the USA a "Class action Suit" for damages against the properties , inconveniences to the neighbor's and any medical illness that may occur to any neighbor due to all the noise, dust and paraphernalia involved in the construction. Believe in the USA people is very careful before doing anything. and that means anything. My sister wanted to put a fence to keep neighbor's dog away from her property and she had to go to the City Council not only to obtain permits and licences but to find out how tall a fence should be legally permitted to be withing the area..

Of my three advises there go # 1:::: to send a letter to the person ordering renovations explaining the difficulties you are having and requesting a meeting to discuss in detail what is he/she planing to do in case there is damage done to your properties (put in writing whatever promise the person doing renovations offer) If you are not satisfied with neighbors response or if the neighbor refuses to acknowledge your correspondence).. 3 2: Send him/her a package . In that package just place a stick of dynamite. #3:;;;; If still unresponsive buy at least 20 sticks more, and blow to kingdom come her/his property. What can you get? Nothing if it's not proven you did it and if it is knowing a little of their criminal justice system you are probably going to get , either probation or a couple months in jail and a fine. But..... what is a couple of months, probation and a fine compare to your peace of mind.?.. If it were me ill do it without a second thought... No one is going to come into my neighborhood to build anything that could inconvenience my family, or damage my home without paying for it.
