This is way too much and Master Fair's have terrible summoning odds in a pull system that SUPER BADLY needs its pool cleaned. When pulling for Rosa I got 3 Blue Pidgeot and a Kris Feraligatr, there's no reason they shouldn't be in their regional ticket summons only for newer players to get. It's a better system than Fire Emblem Heroes of which does clean their pool every April.
Alola was an instant no because this month was already extreme on Alola, no way they would do another Alola month immediately after. Hoenn was believable considering we got Wally in the lodge and sometimes lodge characters can be hints to what's coming since there are the special photos to collect themed around future events, but it seems like Johto is the next region to get Neo Champions. Personally, I'm not too hyped because I miss having actual anniversary characters that aren't just champion outfits.

Alola will have its time for Neo Champions, but this is not the time. Neo Champions is problematic for a celebration because they're a waste of slots for actual anniversary celebrations. When you look back at the game, the last real and true genuine anniversary celebration was the 3rd year anniversary, which gave us Ash, Red with his Pikachu, and another Cynthia variant. Actual anniversary variants for Red and Cynthia that weren't related to Neo Champions (because they didn't exist at the time). Hell, look at 2.5 with how diverse that anniversary was with representation for gen 3, 5, and 8. The second anniversary was also diverse with gen 3, 5, and 7, all getting anniversary units. These were actual celebrations to get behind. Now you look at the last two anniversary events, and they were just bad when it came to representation. 3.5 anniversary was nothing but Galar because of Neo Champions, which made for a boring and uninspiring anniversary event that was forgettable for anyone who didn't care for gen 8. And then you have the 4th anniversary, which, while surrounded by the villain arc finale content, is nothing more than a Kanto fanservice event for Neo Champions. Nearly all the promotion for the app was targeted specifically on gen 1 characters getting new units. Anyone outside of gen 1 were mere afterthoughts. This has made anniversaries problematic to being one-sided and targeted specifically at fans of one particular generation, rather than celebrating multiple generations like the anniversary events used to. This has left me frustrated with the state of these events and it's why I was hardly excited for 4.5 because I was expecting it to be yet another region specific celebration for that target audience that will just alienate everyone else in the end. But after seeing the datamines, I have hope that we're doing away with Neo Champions for anniversaries finally. But I guess we'll see.

I want Karen, but all signs point to Silver. Egg he got from Eusine during the shiny Suicune event last June, it's super effective on Dragonite so he could stomp Lance and become a Neo Champion, and given the last 2 annis had Neo Champions that narrows down the units to 4, Silver, Lyra, Ethan, and Kris since only protagonists/rivals get Neo Champion alts (thus far but doubt that's changing any time soon). I would've rather he got shiny Dragonite, be more poetic, and Karen the dark master... but oh well.
Also I could see him or Kris with the Red Gyarados from Lake of Rage, then slap a mega evolution on it. Of which is also a dark type Pokemon after mega evolving.
5:10 What do you mean huge characters? A lot of them are memorable, being famous or... (looks at Whitney, Clair acting like a Karen)... infamous. People love or love to hate Johto characters, Jasmine, Whitney, Morty, (Chuck isn't in the game somehow still...), Eusine, Clair, Karen, or hey they could give new alts to Kanto characters, like SS Misty is reminiscent of her aged up Johto look, Giovanni in his Johto alt like from the Celebi HGSS event. Bill is a native Johto resident despite owning that house in Kanto, he is a Johto citizen. Ethan isn't Red, but he's still a major protagonist in the franchise, considering he canonically is the only one that faces Red and possibly wins atop Mt Silver. Sure, it's a small roster, but it hits hard. Outside of Unova (simply because TOO MANY characters lol) I don't see any other region having as many popular human characters. I look at Hoenn (let's set aside protagonists and villains aside for a moment cause obviously lol), Wally, Steven, Wallace, Flannery, Norman being THE ONLY PROTAGONIST FATHER TO STICK AROUND... ish, Juan is almost as infamous as Whitney, with his stupid smokescreen Kingdra. I love Roxanne, but can you really tell me any of the other gym leaders or elite 4 members really stick out as being popular? Almost forgot Brandon, but really don't think too many of the Hoenn Battle Frontier members stick out, maaaybe Lucy a lot of people like her for... reasons. Sinnoh Volkner... Flint by extension being Volkner's rival/friend, Palmer... does anyone like any of the other gym leaders? I could maybe see Candice, she's got similar energy to Flannery, Flannery is one of the most popular gym leaders in general. Cynthia obvious, her level of fame is on par with Ash and popularity on par with Red, but does she carry the Sinnoh popularity and fame pool? Riley can't forget him especially having just released, but I honestly can't see anyone else matching up. Kalos... Korina, can anyone name any of the other gym leaders off the top of their heads without looking it up? Unless they are specifically your favorite, I know some like Grant... but anyone else? Even as someone that likes Vallery I don't think she's that popular. Diantha is one of the most mid and weak champions... who are the elite 4 members? I can tell you Siegbold, but I like cooking. Even among the rivals... people try to forget them outside of Shauna and the gender swap rival. Alola... I think could be argued though, despite the games being considered mid, a lot of memorable characters. Olivia, Acerola, Malo, Lana, Lana's mom (sorry just sliding a joke in here lol), Kukui, his wife I can never remember the name of but has been in 3 games, Dream Radar and SM/USUM, I could go on. Sorry so long but Johto does have a lot more recognizable characters compared to most other regions. Egg he got from Eusine during the shiny Suicune event last June, it's super effective on Dragonite so he could stomp Lance and become a Neo Champion, and given the last 2 annis had Neo Champions that narrows down the units to 4, Silver, Lyra, Ethan, and Kris since only protagonists/rivals get Neo Champion alts (thus far but doubt that's changing any time soon). I would've rather he got shiny Dragonite, be more poetic, and Karen the dark master... but oh well.
Also I could see him or Kris with the Red Gyarados from Lake of Rage, then slap a mega evolution on it. Of which is also a dark type Pokemon after mega evolving.
5:10 What do you mean huge characters? A lot of them are memorable, being famous or... (looks at Whitney, Clair acting like a Karen)... infamous. People love or love to hate Johto characters, Jasmine, Whitney, Morty, (Chuck isn't in the game somehow still...), Eusine, Clair, Karen, or hey they could give new alts to Kanto characters, like SS Misty is reminiscent of her aged up Johto look, Giovanni in his Johto alt like from the Celebi HGSS event. Bill is a native Johto resident despite owning that house in Kanto, he is a Johto citizen. Ethan isn't Red, but he's still a major protagonist in the franchise, considering he canonically is the only one that faces Red and possibly wins atop Mt Silver.
Sure, it's a small roster, but it hits hard. Outside of Unova (simply because TOO MANY characters lol) I don't see any other region having as many popular human characters. I look at Hoenn (let's set aside protagonists and villains aside for a moment cause obviously lol), Wally, Steven, Wallace, Flannery, Norman being THE ONLY PROTAGONIST FATHER TO STICK AROUND... ish, Juan is almost as infamous as Whitney, with his stupid smokescreen Kingdra. I love Roxanne, but can you really tell me any of the other gym leaders or elite 4 members really stick out as being popular? Almost forgot Brandon, but really don't think too many of the Hoenn Battle Frontier members stick out, maaaybe Lucy a lot of people like her for... reasons.
Sinnoh Volkner... Flint by extension being Volkner's rival/friend, Palmer... does anyone like any of the other gym leaders? I could maybe see Candice, she's got similar energy to Flannery, Flannery is one of the most popular gym leaders in general. Cynthia obvious, her level of fame is on par with Ash and popularity on par with Red, but does she carry the Sinnoh popularity and fame pool? Riley can't forget him especially having just released, but I honestly can't see anyone else matching up.
Kalos... Korina, can anyone name any of the other gym leaders off the top of their heads without looking it up? Unless they are specifically your favorite, I know some like Grant... but anyone else? Even as someone that likes Vallery I don't think she's that popular. Diantha is one of the most mid and weak champions... who are the elite 4 members? I can tell you Siegbold, but I like cooking. Even among the rivals... people try to forget them outside of Shauna and the gender swap rival.
Alola... I think could be argued though, despite the games being considered mid, a lot of memorable characters. Olivia, Acerola, Malo, Lana, Lana's mom (sorry just sliding a joke in here lol), Kukui, his wife I can never remember the name of but has been in 3 games, Dream Radar and SM/USUM, I could go on.
Sorry so long but Johto does have a lot more recognizable characters compared to most other regions. May be a small pool, even the Pokemon not many that stick out as being popular, but the ones that do, hit hard.
I'm looking forward for the neo champion Brendan May and Wally or elio and selene(the only female protag not having ss)
