This is my headcanon about this ost. Either way this track did not disappoint.
The more I listen to it, yeah, that's honestly a really good way of looking at it. The original was much grittier and heavier on the hardstyle bass and synth. This one is more on the poppy side while still having the kicking beat, that's great!

I love the fact that even though they had to sacrifice a lot from the original song, basically half of it, they found a way to make it work
They even changed the main idea of the original song, which was eurobeat, this one is more techno-styled, which is imo more fitting to Penny, as hackers are also called technopirates
I still prefer the original, but this one is glorious and is not disappointing

@@kiawegamer I'd say hardstyle too, but I feel like the kicks are not really consistent enough. In a hardstyle track, the kicks are more pronounced and hit harder, and they never stop through the intense parts of the song, so everything minus midsections. I think it's almost a hybrid between eurobeat and hardstyle honestly.
Just as good as the original, though I do wish it went on just a bit longer before it looped. Kinda makes me a bit uneasy about the Team Star Squad Boss theme; I’m sure it’ll be good too, but I hope they don’t cut too much since it’s one of the longest battle tracks in the series.
It's just unfortunate that Pokemon Masters battle music often loop at around 1 minute, and yeah definitely curious about how they'll handle the Team Star boss theme.
Once she fully releases i imagine there will be more extended version floating around youtube
It's the same situation as Kukui's chosen theme, the full piece is amazing but would be better if they stretched it to 1 minute 30 seconds like they did with some of the tracks in the beginning of the game.
Also I felt the original one sounds a bit evil in the beginning. It's a bit intense since it has a hard style vibe to it
They may also use other parts of it for a decisive battle later or something
Penny's theme is just so cool, I like this remix.

We were so close to having Penny standing next to all the team leaders in the Villain Arc banner.
Though, I wouldn't call her a villain. Plus, I don't see her standing next to all the bad guys. Blair gives more of those villain vibes. But that's just me.

It's just a team leader lineup.
She's bound to have a story with at least one of the villains eventually considering she's *related* to one of them. But they may have to add Peony first for that to happen.

This theme could fit Penny if she battled in the Galar Region, where she was rumored to be from! It makes sense, since in Juno Songs's lyric adaptation, she spoke differently than the protagonist. In my headcanon, this theme is her theme in Galar, and Team Star expanded on that theme in Paldea.
I'm pretty sure it's not a rumor and its confirmed she's from galar the former director of the school said that a student came and confessed to the whole team star incident and as punishment they sent them back home for overseas study. In penny's flash back she not only reveled that she was the team leader but that she took responsibility for the whole team and went to the director to confess to everything
Not to mention that the Galar gym leader theme can be found within her intro.
Galar fr had the best region of music up their with gens 4&5.

I found penny and the whole concept of team star to be very interesting, for the first time in the franchise we got a evil team that wasn't really evil as far as we know they were bullied delinquents (and even than the whole delinquent thing might have been just a rumor) the worst they did was skip school which to be fair can't really blame them after how they were treated there. Penny herself went from viewing herself as the solution then the problem and tired to save her friends from being expelled for good it's the only time where the team leader wants the protagonist to actually beat the team itself and I also liked how someone pointed out that she has something in common with koraidon/miraidon they were both the victims of being bullied which makes some sense on why it became so attached to her
Honestly I never got the evil vibe from Team Skull either. Just a group of delinquents trying to find some sort of family, in the same sorta way Team Star did.
@@LPJackal Skull at least kidnapped Lillie, on Lusamine's order. Star literally did nothing wrong. Yell was at least a public disturbance and tried to annoy people into dropping out of the league. But yeah, Penny is the only Star member to even do anything even slightly bad, and "skimming the league's own crypto out of their account" is a step lighter than graffiti honestly.

Man, I REALLY need to start playing again soon to grind out gems. I am NOT missing out on getting my favorite Pokémon character.
If you've not played in a while they'll often give you gems for coming back. I'd reinstall soon though as this is going to be a limited banner for November, so once it's gone, it probably won't appear again for months
My favorite character from S/V is coming, with an epic arrangement of her theme, which was really a banger imo. I hope to have her without spending so much gems.

I was genuinely worried about what they'd do to Penny's theme once she was added to the game. Safe to say, it passes the test.
(Also, the fact that Penny is getting in before Arven is ultimate proof that the fanservice is real. I bet they'll be pulling a Bede and we won't be seeing Arven until two years from now.)

It’s a lot more tame, I prefer the original still but that makes since newer games don’t have any limitations on the soundtrack.

I love this theme
Arven has the better story, but Penny is the better character. She came up with an elaborate plan to get back at the bullies who were threatening her and her friends. When it backfired, she wanted her friends to be able to come back to school so they wouldn’t have to lose their education or their future. She put in most of the work herself. I’m glad Clavell and the League were able to respect that.
Yeah, Penny showed a lot of accountability and strength of character in the story: both when she took all the responsibility for her friends, and when she asked for a harder punishment than what she initially got. Her initial motivation was noble as well.
She deserved that job offer, and the friendships.

Wow... I don't follow pokemon masters ex. but It's probably one of few times that they actually made "REMIX" instead of "comletely different arrange". I mean... most (or maybe all) of their works, It had same few seconds intro but then It started whole different music... (like zinnia theme). NGL I was really not fan of it... like "why don't they make it like smash bros arrange???". I'm glad they finally did it. I don't need unnecessary "original music parts". I just wanted normal remix. and they finally delivered it. awesome.

Also, I still can't believe that they put Eurobeat in a freakin Pokémon game. And of course it's with the Boss of Team Star who have the Starmobiles and the literal car engine Pokémon Revavroom. Yes Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are a mess but they are MY beautiful mess which I truly treasure like only one other set of games before it. And they were my first. And also the last time the franchise went through a reboot.
