    About The Colonists:
    The Colonists is a settlement building game inspired by classic titles like The Settlers and the Anno series.
    You take control of a team of self-replicating robots who have escaped from Earth and are searching the galaxy for a new home where they can fulfil their dream: to be human.
    You'll advance through three different Ages as you build infrastructure for your colony by constructing road, boat and train transport systems.
    Harvest natural resources, set up farming and food production, create expeditions to discover new lands and research new technologies.
    With two separate mission tracks, The Colonists lets either you create sprawling settlements in peace or race to compete against AI colonies in military winner-takes-all scenarios.
    Explore, research, manage, tweak and refine to your heart's content!

    Was I the only one shouting at the screen that Katherine was building paths everywhere instead of roads?

    • @KatherineOfSky
      @KatherineOfSky  5 лет назад +3

      Probably. I build paths for very specific reasons. The same with roads.

    • @TheGeekCupboard
      @TheGeekCupboard 5 лет назад

      With the fish that your heading toward, wouldn't it make more sense to have roads going to the fishery so they can ship the goods around quicker? At the moment it's just paths going to the watchtowers (which I get). Or is there some genius-level KOS plan going on?

    • @KatherineOfSky
      @KatherineOfSky  5 лет назад

      I try to place roads where I want permanent pathways. Don't worry, we will put them down soon enough!

    Robots that eat does not compute.

    • @KatherineOfSky
      @KatherineOfSky  5 лет назад +1

      Why not? Meat is energy. I find it a rather novel idea, and quite charming given the story of the robots.

    • @CaptnStone
      @CaptnStone 5 лет назад +2

      @@KatherineOfSky Well it certainly explains why they come into conflict with the humans. I'd be uneasy if my robot neighbor consumed any meat for energy... How long until our robot neighbors decide on the logic of eating a high energy fat laden human?

      you should play horizon zero dawn, then you will get the whole biomass conversion idea.

    you really overdo by placing towers. wait till you get the space so you don't need that much ;)

    • @KatherineOfSky
      @KatherineOfSky  5 лет назад

      I place as few towers as possible. The higher level towers take much research to get to.

    • @MrGustaphe
      @MrGustaphe 5 лет назад

      @@KatherineOfSky there isn't one. Historically, it seems like it's been an Arabic female name, but in Scandinavian use (and on the entire Wikipedia page for "people named Ola") it's a male name. In Sweden and Norway, it's a short form of Olof.

    • @KatherineOfSky
      @KatherineOfSky  5 лет назад

      Interesting. I've always seen Ola as a feminine name, a shorted form of Olya, or Olga in Russia. Olaf, I've seen as male.

    • @MrGustaphe
      @MrGustaphe 5 лет назад

      @@KatherineOfSky You learn something every day!
      I understand the confusion, most Swedish names follow the Latin scheme: -a means female, -e or -us means male, but Ola is one of few exceptions.
