The founder of Gold Standard, Conrad Braun was an interesting man and a crusader whom was even covered by Reason Magazine in 1980. (The article is easily found online) More known for his legal troubles and battles with the U.S. government in the 90's, there's a rumor that he showed up to court in a chicken suit. 🐥😆 I have a 1oz mirrored back and have seen two 100oz bars in the wild. I have a few of the rounds that they issued with the different economists like Harwood and Hayek, but I've never researched to see who made them for Gold Standard? Don't feel bad about All Engelhard not getting back to you. They blow off many people including myself. I submitted pics of a 10oz Consolidated Mines & Metals with a different serial number for their database and got crickets in return. 🙄 Anyway, good info about the original packaging with the Gold Standard bars. 👍
When you got original packs of gold standard bars and multiple examples in different sizes in that packaging i'm more inclined to take your word for it instead of someone who has more of a finanical incentive to make their own fake packaging. I need to get one of those soon.
