I Agree 100% I started buying G&S 5 yrs ago … a older friend got me into it He Said ( don’t buy any slab coins, nothing with high premium or collectibles) because when you sell it to a shop They only care how much silver it has That’s It‼️ so that’s what I do . I never stacked bars before until around Christmas. I got 4 two oz Monarch's then I thought hey a 5 oz Monarch! Then after looking for my next bar I saw the 10 oz Germania and that's all I've been getting. So beautiful and hefty. Have 4 so far.
Just purchased two 10 ounce Germania bars when Silver was $22.12 an ounce. Already purchased 1 ounce silver bar & coins for grandkids Christmas present ( along with what I tell them is always the right size & color. Yep cash ).
Scottsdale Stackers, Germania and Brits. If I can't find a deal on them when the price is right I'll pick up other stuff with an eye toward making sure my other bars have at least one partner. I want a couple of Cutsaws because I like to let one of each bar go unprotected to let it tone and I think those Cutsaws are going to look amazing with some tone. I always start my search hoping to find Stackers at the right price. Those are my favorite.

i had to buy some 10 oz britianna bars earlier this month when they were on sale. they’re just beautiful. i used to stack silvertowne prospectors a long time ago before they quit putting serial numbers on them. they didn’t pass the savings along to us when they eliminated that step. i’m just now starting to pick them up when they’re on sale. i love the scottsdale stackers but will only buy them when they’re on sale. ive been getting good deals on sunshine minting bars here lately. i don’t have any igr or germania bars. i do like the fact that germania puts serial numbers on their bars and package them in plastic as well as boxes. that’s a nice touch. i mostly stack kilos over 10s but i still buy them when i find a great deal. good video
All great bars I do love the Brit’s but only buy them when on sale and I love the silvertowne prospectors , nice vintage touch to those but yes kilos are definitely a favorite of mine too , love the Perth mint kilos and the Germania kilos 👊🏻🇺🇸

I really like the fat Germania mint 10 oz bars. I have 50....500 oz of them. I like the fat smaller bar style. Currently working on another 500 oz of 500gram bars. I have 20. Need 12 more to break that 1000 oz goal.
Those are three really great bars! I don't have any of them but I like them all for the reasons you mentioned! I guess, out of 10oz bars, I would say I like to stack JM and Engelhard the most!
I think those 3 are great choices and I agree with you. I have a few of each of them, but honestly I have more RCM bars than anything followed by Scottdale and then just general generics.
Scottsdale Stackers are great, and not too expensive. I like all of them, including the 10oz bars, but the Scottsdale 5 oz rounds are really neat. Cheap is great, but I also think a couple of bucks for a little extra effort isn't bad. My favorite 10oz bar is the Brittania, there's no comparison, totally a beautiful work of art. I do generics also, but it is good to have silver that is interesting.
I do love my ten oz bars and really love how my Scottsdale stackers go together and can hold 10 of them in one hand easier than the ones that aren't stackers. Great video buddy

The main reason for stacking bars is to increase silver weight at the best value (i.e., lowest premium over spot). I get the most generic 10-oz bars that I can find as long as they're from at least a semi-recognizable mint. If I'm going to pay extra just to have a fancy bar with beautiful art that's made by a sovereign government mint, then I may as well just buy their coins instead. Paying a higher premium for a fancy silver bar pretty much defeats the whole purpose of buying bars. [Disclaimer: Sure, if you love fancy silver bars and that's your thing and it's what motivates you to stack, by all means have at it. The argument here is simply for building up silver weight as inexpensively as possible.]
The 10oz Silver Brittania bars were $2.49 over spot on any quantity on SD Bullion a couple of weeks ago. They were $233 each versus $240'ish for the Scottsdale Mint bars.
Those germania bars are beautiful..and the rcm are my favorites...but i stack the brits they are great looking and cheap. Edit...i save by trading my silver to a local lcs even for my silver to gold ... he makes more by selling 85 to 90 of my silver oz so hes ok with with even trades to gold. I lose nothong and he profits.

My favorites are when I get lucky at the LCS and find an older vintage bar for close to generic bar prices.

Today in September 2024 the RCM is about the same price as the Scottsdale Silver Stackers. The stackers seem to be higher now

IGR are my go-to bar. Italia and Silvertowne depending on what my LCS has, he always beats the online prices.

In Europe we pay so much more per ounce if we buy bars instead of coins.
