- K1 Speed Phoenix is open under a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy. The tracks are running, the arcade is not. I was hoping to get you guys on-track footage, but that did not happen. Here's a quick peak, a few thoughts, and a track overview

Bro I didn’t know u were in phoenix. I’m actually in Tucson. I really want to try this place . Awesome vid man . First chance I get I’m going to check K1 out
Heck yes!!
You ever been to octane? They run things far better than every other place I've been to in AZ
I've been to Octane a few times. The last time I went on a Tuesday night to try to race with the regulars, but there was a private event that through the schedule off, and I was put in a group of random people instead. I'd like to get back out there again though.
i dont really like the octane track or karts. the track is really slippery. mabye thats just me im not sure
@@RacingDevin it's because of the damn misters in the outdoor portion, ruins the whole track during the summers.
@@eeay3 yeah i think its also the super slick material the track is made of and the tire compound.
Paddle shifters actually are not just gimmicks. They can be activated and allow you to shift thru the 4 speed levels. I have used them before
"Shifting" through speed levels is not the same as shifting actual gears in a transmission, which these karts do not have.
@DigitalRelay never said they shifted actual gears... You said in your video that you thought they were gimmicks. They are not gimmicks as they can be used to shift through speeds.
Right, I'm following what you said. In my opinion, shifters on a motor vehicle are used to change gears. By definition (to me), shifters that don't change gears are a gimmick. OTL's marketing describes the shifters as "rewards experienced drivers with a real-world, racing experience." I think it's cool if it enhances anyone's experience. It's just not for. These karts supposedly can make F1 engine sound that play through a speaker. I can see that also enhancing someone's experience, but I have no interest in inauthentic features like these. I'm glad you dig it though.
@@DigitalRelay that's fair
