What battery are you running. My understanding is that the bikes with the regen lever are on the old batteries. In Canada they are not sold with the thumb lever and the dealers make a point of telling you it doesn’t have the battery that caught fire.
I have a Greenway battery. The original bike that was shipped to me came with a Scud battery (the same type that caught fire). Lunacycle caught the original bike mid shipment and sent me a new bike with a good battery.
I'm sure a fireproof bag couldn't hurt, but I'm not going to use one. Just keep an eye on it while charging and it'll be fine. it's UL certified on the charger, has Cell level protection and is protected by the BMS. It should be fine.

Great ride. Also you can get 55 miles at 20 to 30 mph on a flat (mostly) road .
Would you recommend a fire proof battery bag if so what one ?
