My son is currently in the hospital for leukemia but he’s doing great. Not an ideal Father’s Day but all things considered it could be worse. Glad to see an upload from you today and always! Hope you have a blessed day ❤️
When the Sprights first got revealed, I built Ojama Spright with D.A.D. as the Ojamatching Target, could set up Spright Board during your first turn then bring out D.A.D. on your next to push for the kill
Trying to build an archetype my dad would be interested in but trying to get into modern Yugioh is so absurdly hard that I had an easier time just changing to a different card game entirely. I wish there was more support for building a type of board game experience with this game, especially since that was the original inspirations of Takahashi.
So I just bought cards to build a deck to teach someone, I decided to build Umi Control The deck has a good impact without many combos for them to keep track of I also am not building the decks at full power to make it a slower game for teaching purposes
Cool perspective. I DAD and its decks was in my view, the first example of a modern yugioh card, where an engine with circumestances leads to a win condition. It was a good card looking at it being played, but I don't personally think it was well designed if you look at the game holistically, especially at the time. It was designed to be a highly useable and powerful chase card, so they had to make him playable and they had to make him so powerful that he by himself converted pack sales. The problem is that they at the time wouldn't afford the same playability and purpose to so many other cards.
I saw a video talking about how in remote duels during the height of the pandemic some cards were banned. Cards that you gave to your opponent. Would be interesting how that impacts design space.
I think there's real potential for this as an alternate boss monster in a Red Dragon Archfiend deck with the abundance of dark monsters and different ways to modulate the # in grave by banishing/special summoning from it. It's something I look forward to trying when my copies of the structure deck arrive and I can obtain a copy of this buff dragon boi.
Even at 3, it hasn't seen any play since early 2019. And even then it was just as a rare tech option in Burning Abyss. Hadn't seen regular use since 2015 for Shaddoll. It's been power crept into oblivion for a long time time.
Happy fathers day 🎉

nice video on father day. I am just sad that we didn't see this monster in GX.
