Fun fact, a coin flip is technically slightly less than 50/50 if you are actually flipping a coin, there is a small chance you flip and it lands on its side, the result of which would be reflipping the coin after everyone looks on in shock
Tour of Doom definitely has some synergy with the monsters that negate special summoning, imagine locking your opponent out of summoning anything at all
Sasuke samurai #4 helped me a lot during a time wizard event (GOAT) in a WCQ regional. Since I did not have any Mystic Swordsman lvl 2 copies I had to improvise, it helped me to deal with face-down monsters or to bait removal btw I won the playmat during that event
I love coin flip cards in games so much. Pokémon does it well and it’s so much fun. Always bums me out when someone wants to use dice instead of coins on a coin flip card too 😹
I think the idea behind Barrel dragon's 3 flips was for each of the cannons to keep it on theme. Also worth noting, Goddess of Whim's early prints didn't have a once per turn clause which would have made Origami Goddess very strong. It's also weird how PTCG has coin flipping cards so often that a see through coin flipping dice is required for tournaments similar to field centre cards in modern yugioh.
I'm glad to see a new video of yours - specially, with a topic like this. I do like coin toss/dice roll = luck cards, it's fun to play Yu-Gi-Oh! in this way (at least for me, though).
I personally like to fool around with couple of aces in decks with easy ways to put a negate on board, like the cicada xyz, or S force, or suship, making the cost of managing the bad outcome almost nothing
You sneaked the anime pronunciation of Neos, LoL. Btw, having grown up with the Italian Dub, I can confirm we also say it the right way. Tho we are kinda better since we say and Neos and Neo Spacian (Neo Spaziale) in the same way. 😜
Thank you. I am going to be working on that in future videos as well. It does add a few hours to the production cycle, but I think it helps to curtail the metagame comparisons by better contextualizing the environment in which it was released. I am going to change up the graphics a little in the future, so you can see era as well, and maybe resize for readability. So much to do, but I hope to keep pushing the production value!
I've loved chance cards ever since I started playing the game, so seeing someone finally discussing them in depth is awesome. You should definitely follow up on that final tease for a dice video, but I'm sure you already plan to. Heres hoping you go on a tangent about dungeon dice monsters when you do make it! Fun fact, I genuinely considered playing Couple of Aces in my Spright list when the card got revealed, for the humor factor if nothing else.

A paper was released on this
It is actually 49/51 biased on the face you have up when flipping while taking account of the side landing (as a retry)😂

Your content is such easy listening. I love all this focus on the aspects of card/game design.

I have just never seen the English dub of the later seasons of GX. Knee-os?
Big fan of showing the release date and set of a card.

You can play heavy metal raiders with the barrel gun dragons
I did not realize there were so few coin flip cards. Especially the big jump in time on the single coin flip monsters.
I am sort of relived, too many random cards might affect the feel of the game.

When using money as the coin for these cards, I can never definitely decide which side is head and which side is tails.
So no head?
