- A forensic scientist said she found what is almost definitely University of South Carolina student Samantha Josephson's DNA under the fingernails of Nathaniel Rowland, the man accused of killing her.
Ryan Dewane, a DNA analyst for SLED, testified Friday in Rowland's murder trial.
While Dewane said Josephson's DNA was found under Rowland's fingernails, she said Rowland's DNA was not found under Josephson's fingernails.

He may of done this due to anger because she wouldnt give up her pin number but even after he killed her he still didn't have the correct pin number.

It sounds like there was another male involved. The ex girlfriend was tested and she was cleared. I commend the ex girlfriend for complying with the courts by testifying. People continue to attack the ex girlfriend missing teeth and or appearance which is heartless and cruel. She in my opinion was brave. This expert did a great job.
Personally I thought she was a really strong witness who knew her stuff and stood her ground to the defense team questions. I don't see how they blame her for having to be forced to use the car to pick up her baby. She just gonna leave her there?

I must have misunderstood the defense in their opening statements when she said that her DNA was not found on him. Then an expert comes on and says her DNA was under his fingernails. Doesn't matter anymore. The DNA evidence as there and he was convicted.

The expert should not have been fighting for anyone when presenting evidence to a jury. All this proved is that there was no DNA evidence that Rowland killed Samantha. Not good as this suggests reasonable doubt that Rowland is the killer

Someone testified that Samantha has damaged to her eye like she was punched in her eye. I am believing she scratched the demon and it punched in several times to her eye. I don't want to think about the horror that girl experienced by the hands of this demon.

Samantha’s footprint was found on the back passenger seat window...her blood, iPhone & bank card. There was a relative involved I hope they find out who it was because this girl does deserve justice 100%
How do you know that there was a relative involved? I didn't watch the trial yet. I just found this case a few days ago. Because I live in Finland I don't follow the news in the states much.

The expert refered to 2 unidentied male dna. Thars why i thought he had accomplices.
Their DNA was in his car on his clothes or on his tool. And we clearly know that he doesn’t know how to properly CLEAN anything.
Only his prints were on his list. Samantha’s blood was on the same list.
He was the only one seen wearing the clothes. He was the only one on the ATM cameras. He was the only one on camera trying to sell the phone. Also not all of the “unidentified unrelated individuals” were necessarily male or even the same individuals from item to item.
ALL of the evidence involved points to Nathaniel Rowland.

It seems that she looks at the prosecutor when he speaks to her, then she looks at the jury ever time she speaks her conclusion to them.
They actually encourage witnesses to look at the jury since they are the ones who will decide guilt or innocence based on the evidence. ( I learned that during the Jodi Arias trial )

The way she turned to the judge to answer. And threw her gaze back to the lawyer. But the daggers her eyes were throwing I knew who she was really setting her eyes on. If this was back in the day… wouldn’t have been a trial but for 1 hour. No prison needed. Just a shame and a travesty.
