Thanks, and Enjoy!
Thanks for the video; it helped me fix my lost signal issue with GMC 2022. Note: my running light cable was green. But it works perfect now
We have a similar issue with the Furrion cameras but with our Motorhome so not run through the plug in the back. Still working with Furrion to find a solution but this switch addition may be part of it. Thanks for at least confirming that we are not alone with this issue!
I went from a 2015 Silverado diesel 6.6 to a 2019 Silverado with s 6.0 gas i valled furrion and they said i neede a pig tail to solve the pulse problem , well it it didnt fix the problem , 60 dollars ,now i hot to go over my wiring ,
yes i looked into the pigtail option and it didnt seem like it would work for our use case. this works 100%
Have others come up with other solutions to this problem? If you have post it in the comments below.
I did something similar - ran 12v constant power right off my battery through a switch, cameras always hot now and we bring the furrion monitor inside the RV first a security camera. While you have that junction box open, it’s easy to run new trigger wires from the R and L turn signal conductors to your cameras. That prioritizes the associated camera when you flip in your turn signals, and puts that camera in full screen mode while the turn signal is on. Really helps either visibility for lane changes.
great tip!
Just came across your video as I have been searching high and low for a solution to my Furrion Camera power issue with my 2022 GMC Sierra 3500. I have watched your video several times and just wanting to make sure I have a clear picture. The brown running light wire will be capped ? This is done on the 7 way camper cable coming from my camper that would plug into my truck ? The nut stays in place on that running light wire and the other 2 wires will be my 12 volts and ground. So basically my 12 volts is now coming from the camper while traveling down the road and taking the truck out ?
You are correct. We’re not using the running light signal from the truck at all. That wire gets capped at the 7 pin harness on the trailer. The 12V and ground are now providing power to your lights and cameras when the switch is on. The cameras will run off the trailer batteries and your truck’s alternator will charge those batteries while it’s on and the trailer 7 pin is plugged in. Hopefully that helps!
Thank you very much.
