As a follow up - just heard back from Lippert (Furrion manufacturer) - they said I will have to replace the camera. Well, if I do it certainly wont be a Furrion if 4 years is the life expectancy! Planned obsolescence at its finest.... going to give your method a try! Thanks again!
EXCELLENT! Thanks for taking the time to put your vid out there. My RV with same Furrion camera has been in storage (sitting I covered storage) for 3 1/2 years and the tail end was facing south east, so…. I’ll try your method and let you know what the results are. Again, thanks.
Good video. Of note, the same issue happened with all 5 of my cameras on my 2019 F350 pickup. Ford had a recall on them and replaced each of them. Interestingly - my tailgate camera was foggy and it faced north (out of the sun) 95% of the time. The front view camera which I never used and faced the sun 95% of the time - turned COMPLETELY black! I never knew it until the Ford tech told me. Anyway - you showed several grits and polish in the video - did you use just the one grit on the lens? I'll go back and rewatch it - but thank you - I have contacted Furrion and will wait and see what they want to do first. My camera is a Furrion Vision S sharkfin style. It was a $500 camera.
I bought the kit on Amazon, tried your recommendations, worked perfectly! Thanks!
