she speaks so much truth! and the problem is still the same. i am white but deeply care about racism and any injustice, and i have to say that most people see me as a pain in the butt, when i talk about these issues. i most of the time get "why do you care, you are not black/muslim(or whatever).." or rolling eyes.. many people also like to argue and say "it's not an issue anymore, we are over this", these are usually the people who at one point or another are racist themselves.

I don't know where you get the notion that she was over 6 ft tall. I am friends with her ex bass player, Paul Simon's current bass player as well as a singer from South Africa who shared a stage with her once. She's around 5'8 - 5'9. Everything else you said about her was spot on however.
