That part of the 94-95 season was so much fun to watch. Seeing MJ come back wearing 45 then switching to 23. Introduction of the Jordan 11 concord (one of the most popular/hyped sneakers of all time). Seeing the #6 seed Rockets winning it all with Clyde getting his first (and only) NBA title.
Ironically, the only home loss of MJ's 17 game comeback came here, which was also Orlando's last away win before the playoffs. This game would be a foreshadowing of things to come between these two before their second round playoff matchup, which the Magic won 4-2 winning twice in the United Center.
Orlando beating that version of the Bulls wasn't a fluke. MJ was in between phases as a player (not the explosive ultra athlete he had been and hadn't improved his strength to transform his game), and their PF spot was an absolute liability. They were lucky to beat Charlotte in Round 1.
Agreed. I remember there was a miss Jordan had this game where he went to dunk and he barely got off the ground and missed when he tried to readjust for a layup. The explosion and elevation wasn’t there anymore.
@MrCWilliams1982 U DO KNOW THE FIRST ROUND WAS 3 OUT OF 5 SO BASICALLY CHARLOTTE TOOK THEM ALL THE WAY TO THE FINAL GAME IN THE SERIES WHEN THE BULLS ACTUALLY SHOULD'VE SWEPT IN 3 GAMES OR BEAT THEM IN 4 GAMES
I remember waking up early Saturday morning and avoiding spoilers in the newspaper to watch this game on tape after missing it live this night before. Pretty sure I had the WGN broadcast though with Wayne Larrivee and Johnny "Red" Kerr. All that, but I have no idea what sort of Friday night function I had to attend as an 8-year-old.

That Penny Pass 23:38 - 24:14 was Nice!
That pass was on the cover of Slam Magazine that year. One of my favorite Penny plays ever.
This series should have ended in 5 games.
