I’ll always be bummed they got rid of the companion feature!! It would’ve been so fun to rob trains and homesteads with John, Lenny, Sean, Javier or Bill. Take the girls to a show. Take Charles with me to hunt. Take Sadie with me whenever I just felt like wiping out a whole town. 😂
The ghost train effects Arthur and his horse. It makes them grow, and have a ghost look, peds are scared of you, you get super jump and kick. you have to be in control of the train for this to work though, so I used engineer mod.
In case you didn't know, drunken mode is in RDR1, and for some reason, it looked better there than it does here. John was more wobbly and stumbled and fell over a lot more than Arthur did.
I managed to glitch the campaign feature into the game by antagonizing a gang member so they push you (preferably Micha) right when everyone goes to bed

Why did they remove having a companion? That is the thing that would make traveling from one side of the map to the other actually not boring AF. And the fact you could have anybody from your camp to hang out with you for the day is hilarious. So many options to make so many hilarious content videos. If you played GTA5 or GTA4 you would know that you can hangout with friends, or multiple at the same time, go drinking or have fun. Same was planned for RDR2 there are over 450 lines cut from this with the hangout feature

I found that ( in my case ) that in the chapter 2 mission location with the bar fight with Tommy if you kill someone before the mission you and Javier will begin to fend off against the police. So it’s almost like a companion activity

i liked how they did the drunk thing ingame, but youre not able to escalate it to the point of vomiting, passing out, being unable to walk. you always go back to sober again.

The companion feature is still technically in the game, you just need to do a risk and reward process to get it
