This thing is such a beast, had mine for about 6 months now and I truly love it, nothing can compare for the price, nothing about it feels budget either. Highly recommended if you are in the market for a strong flooder, that still has useful throw. Those top down view shots were awesome man, really shows how the light fills all the space.
Beast for 60 seconds.. 😊 After the stepdown it's hitting 1500 lumens like a classic EDC light with sft40 or sst LED. It's heavy, the body is to big even for big hands after 15 minutes i had enough of holding it in the forest, i had also the screwed aluminium convoy handle, but it was also not a good deal because of the weight - 700 gram. More efficient is a single xhp70.3 Hi emitter (6V) with a good driver 10 Amps in a more comfortable light to hold (body diameter below 30mm) even with dual 21700's cells. I had much flashlights, the ones i don't like i just sold, the Q8 plus has a new owner. It maybe is budget with 6 x old emitters, but holding 1500 lumens with a hot body is not a good score for me. Convoy has better flashlights in my opinion.
Great video! For $100 or so WITH batteries when on sale, it is really impressive. Right now it is on sale for $75!!! I really appreciate the screw port to use on tripods as well. My only change would be a loop attachment to help secure it when carrying outside of the holster to help prevent damage.
You can use that tripod mount to fit a Convoy handle, it fits perfect but the bolt that comes with the handle is poor quality and needs swapping for a better bolt.

I've got the original Q8 with 4X 18650 and rarely use it due to the weight. The other problem you can see in the beamshots - it's so bright close to you that it blinds you for distance vision! A very modest thrower would be more useful IRL. If you want to impress your friends it's great, but a single battery light is much nicer to use IMO.
Q8plus is too heavy and too thick for hands. What to choose, q8pro, if30, sp33v3, sp36, or something else? Prefer a floody light but with far distance too?
Ok I really like the 16k lumen rating, but its thicker I want a flooded with this much power, the other light I want similar to this is the Imalent ms03 as it has a thinner body but the run times don’t compare it seems
lol no way you have the same problem mine where way way worse then yours and i dont think it was from the light tho because ive been using my lights for 2 years now and the batteries still look the same so who knows but thats crazy you have the same problem

I want to see a version with 3x XHP 70.3 HI using 3x 26650 batteries. I wonder how much more lumens it could get.
26650 batteries are not that better than 21700… I would even say I prefer 21700 over 26650.
