Thanks for being #TeamROG and #TeamCROSSHAIR it is a fantastic board, unless you specifically see value in the additional features, specifications for the vast majority the Dark Hero would the best board you could get for X570. Performance wise the experience will be parity between the boards.
@@ASUSUSA I already have a dark hero and couldn't help myself when I saw the Extereme... I pre-ordered and it's here already!!!..... I think i'm going to keep the Dark Hero and build another machine around it as well
I ended up purchasing the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero which I am happy with, but I wish there would have been a hint for a new ITX X570 with the new passive cooling and a USB-C input. Instead of the new B550-I. Hopefully one day for my future ITX builds. 🙏
Lol. Late to the game here, X570 extreme. There's two bios, how to update wasn't mentioned? What are the trade offs when using all 5 m.2 slots. Are we losing Sata ports?
Picking this board up Sunday for my Ryzen 9 5950x & RTX 3080 ti. What RAM would you recommend to compliment all of these high in parts for hard core competitive fps gaming? Thanks, and phenomenal video!!!
10:47 those chipset coolers on the "not passive" are pretty noisy and normally runs at 28-3000 RPM - if you read this before buying, please consider the passive cooling - you will enjoy later.
Hey i have a question. I just got a ryzen 9 5900x and try it on a MSI b450 mother board. It work kind of but when i try to play a game it will crash. So if get a 570 motherboard would this fix this problem?
It is difficult to know what may be the cause of your issue but a 5900X is a high-end CPU and ideally should have a solid VRM, good cooling, and of course other components to support stable operation. We have many boards including B550 and X570 that can offer stable and reliable operation. Consider our TUF GAMING X570 PLUS II or PRO or similarly TUF GAMING B550 PRO or PLUS. If looking for something higher consider our ROG STRIX series. Do keep in mind you may want to verify your UEFI BIOS is up to date and you have test your memory and PSU. Best of luck with your build.
Nice video - a question Which board would you (Asus) recommend for prof. use i.e. workstation/medical/CAD and machine control/usage. I am currently using the ProArt series - I would be interested in boards that are less in the consumer range.
This is a great choice and aligns with our recommendation. Generally in your field, any of the boards we offer "can" and "will" work it comes down more to the respective features, functions, and design you value. With that noted the series we would recommend would be our WS series, Prime series and ProART series.
I have the Rog Strix x570-e Gaming motherboard with an active cooler, I have seen that the fan starts to rotate when the temperature exceeds 57 degrees Celsius, I live in Cuba and at this time the temperatures are a bit high from what I have seen the PCH get up to 64 degrees, is that correct? What would be the maximum safe temperature at which the PCH can work?
I have a 370X Crosshair VI Extreme - would it be worth jumping to the 570X Crosshair VIII Extreme or would it only provide minimal gains using a Ryzen 9 3900X with it, please?
I was really expecting this to be a buildzoid video when i saw the topic and length of the video. Good work. One question I have (not sure if it is something easy to answer) is if these boards are Windows 7 compatible. Not "supported", but compatible. I know a lot of people think Windows 7 should not be used anymore, but I like to have the option to do so.
So is the new extreme the only board ready for windows 11 and really is the extreme a better buy for in the long run or could I just keep my dark viii hero motherboard ?
Both are great board and and unless you need the specific upgraded specifications for the vat majority the Dark Hero would be more than enough. All ASUS 500 series AMD board support both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
@@ASUSUSA does the new extreme has better WiFi internet connection and are the specs better for streaming and gaming and content creating? Also does it come with windows 10 usb flash drive in the box?? And what are the pros over the regular asus dark hero in your honest opinion please??
I just bought a Dark Hero today and in the listing title on Amazon it says X570S does that mean I'm going to be getting the newer version of the board?
Gaming routers ( from ASUS ) will offer higher performing SoC, more DRAM and robust firmware management options these include advanced QoS and NAT and many other options which can be beneficial for gamers and networking in general. With that noted you do not need to go a ultra high model to get the majority of these benefits. Models like the RT-AX82U would make a great foundation for wired and wireless gaming.
You will find these board are our channel partners, you can check the where to buy check on the website. The CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME also had/has a pre order at Newegg.
Bro why stickers on a 300$ motherboard??? the x570-e gaming 2.... the 1st one looks way better in my opinion. The ROG logo - top left is Terraira style, under it that Strix "screen" or glass with LED under it has an epileptic attack and the stickers that are pink/blue bruh. Don't get me wrong I love ROG, I am a huge fan of your work, the other motherboards look amazing, but the strix one god..... no hate just my opinion. And yes I know looks on a motherboard don't really matter (I mean they do but not that much), performance is what really matters and yes it has some nice features, but maybe you could change at least that huge pink/blue sticker xD
Yes, you can but we would suggest our own line of AIO coolers including the ROG STRIX LC which is simpler to install and offers native integration with our Armoury Crate software as opposed to requiring additional software from NZXT. You can also run the AIO without any software at all. If you want a screen we offer three models. The RYUO, RYUJIN and the latest RYUJIN II which features a larger screen than the Z73 and the latest 7th gen pump design along with a fan/aRGB controller and premium Noctua fans.
It has not launched yet, it will be available shortly. Stay tuned to etailers for product listing. Thanks for your patience and for being #TeamROG and #TeamCROSSHAIR
There is no "S" edition, as noted in the stream S just indicates support via the AGESA to support passive chipset cooling and any of the boards noted would offer this.
This may be due to your internal cable or other aspects of your PC build, the audio codec is the same and features the same isolated audio design ( which helps to reduce interference from surrounding components ). If you find you are consistently experiencing audio which is being affected by "cracks and pops" it could indicate you have additional interference from your other components. In this respect you may want to consider using a discrete sound card or external USB based sound card.
@@ASUSUSA I have tried all audio outputs from the mother board including optical and bluetooth I addition also tried a Yamaha MG10XUF via Jack and USB/Asus Xonar 7.1 via Jack, Optical and USB/Elgato Wave Mic via USB.....no go still has issues
Why didn't you guys do this on the first x570 motherboards? Don't answer me that it was for lack of knowledge or they didn't have the necessary technology at the time. I recently bought the ROG Crosshair VIII Formula, and the little fan is already bothering me.
The majority of users do not have concerns or issues with an active fan which ensures a consistent level of performance. We carefully evaluated many solutions and used a high quality fan implementation that offers super reliability, performance as well as lower noise and vibration compared to standard chipset fan solutions. With that noted AMD only officially implemented AGESA support for passive chipset cooling post the X570 chipset launch which aligned with the release of our ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO.
You say that ASUS wanted to give enthusiasts the best experience possible, but you are charging almost $500 for the Dark Hero mobo with only TWO m.2 slots, no 2x2 gen three USB ports, and you don't include ninety degree I/O connectors like MOST of the other premium boards include. For this price range, ALL of those things should be included. So NO! No props to ASUS for charging a premium for this Dark Hero board, and leaving out all the premium features... Then when you do include those features in the Extreme, you charge almost as much as an entire computer system's price for just the mother board at $850 dollars USD. That is ridiculous, and even more so when we realize you can't even use all the drives together, because they are still limited by the lack of pcie data lanes available from the cpu and chipset. I previously used ONLY Asus mobo's, but have since moved to other manufacturers, as ASUS's greed has left me flabbergasted and unwilling to feed your greed habit. China uses child labor at almost no cost to them, yet charge a mint for their electronics here. Not for me anymore...
Take a look at 16:00 in you will see a slide that offers an extensive list of items to differentiate this board relative to the ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO. There are many additional value points. If purely looking at general functionality and feature set and you do not have need of the additional feature set the CROSSHAIR VIII HERO WiFi, Dark Hero and upcoming ROG STRIX X570-E Gaming II are better suited boards.
