  • I took some pictures using Ektachrome 100D to test the film in different scenarios. I tested using ND filters, over- and under-exposure, and tungsten light. I have fun performing these tests, but this is the "boring" part of learning about film stock so I can shoot confidently in Super 8 and 16mm.

    That's a beautiful film stock! There is a lot of depth to the image. I think it looks a bit closer to the old Kodachrome than the old Ektachrome did. I also heard that it has a bit more latitude, but of course by far not as much as negative. Great video as always!

      Thanks Christian, it is a beautiful film stock for sure. Seeing a modern image projected on film was great. It brought memories of my childhood. I don't think the film is super limited. It is what it is. If one want to project images the film is more than usable. If the idea is to finish the product digitally, one can take advantage of the extended latitude of negative and save some money. It's great to have options tho.
