  • My friend Carlos got a new motorcycle. We use that as an excuse to shoot a roll of Ektachrome 100D using a K3. I forgot the light meter; some images are out of focus, and I noticed some weird jerking on the images. I'll talk about those details in another "behind the scenes" or commentary video soon.
    Thanks for watching.
    Camera: Krasnogorsk 3

Buen trabajo!

Saludos.

Looks really good and good work on the post.
Although 16mm is in the middle of 8mm and 35mm, it looks close to 35, rather than to 8, really crazy how much excellent it looks

Thanks a lot! Super 8 is the new 16. Film stocks like 50D and 100D have so much detail that they look like their old siblings now. I've seen modern Super 8 that looks better than 16mm from the 90s. 16mm, if properly shot, can compete with 35mm too. Modern scanners can capture a lot of detail, which helps a lot.

Buffalo 66 Film stock. Well…sorta same chemistry but very similar look and feel.

Wow! That's true! I just watched the trailer and it looks similar. The highlights of reversal film stock are peculiar for sure. Thanks for sharing that info.

Saludos.

@@TheCinematographyLab El original proyectado debe verse genial.

Looks fantastic on my cell phone! Yes a couple of shots are out of focus, happened to me with the Zenitar 16, but the rest is awesome! I will watch again on my PC tomorrow.

Thanks Christian! Yeah, it's hard to tell what is in focus in the viewfinder of the K3. I'll shoot some tests later, to try to determine if it was my mistake or if the camera needs alignment. Thanks for watching.

@@TheCinematographyLab in my case it was me. It's hard working with prime lenses with the K-3. I know my mistake. I was rushing the shot and set the lens at 35meters distance, thinking it was 3.5 meters.
