Inzaghi: how to turn your defender

- It's quite rare to see Inzaghi dribbling, but he did well to change the course of the game. Without him, AC Milan might have exited this stage. Inzaghi stepped in, and his contributions led to a win and to eventually win the Champions League that season.
AC Milan vs Ajax Quarter finals second leg 2002/2003. - Спорт
Probably one of the most successful striker with no advantage of physicality, or technique but he had the best positioning ever.
He was always offside though
Because he is playing by the line..
Off the ball, maybe this words more Apropriate
@@volstaggleba5865 you know better dude
No technique? Well he just turned you and tucked the ball away....
He always celebrated like he scored his first and last goal. My favorite is, the one in the champions league quarterfinals 2007 second leg against Bayern. Seedorf assisted him with a sick pass and the rest is history....the celebration.
Seedorf’s back heel
he stand at corner flag
The 3rd goal in the 90th minute is not even scored by him. It was scored by Jon.
Celebrating like he score winning goal at extra time in his last world cup final lol
And also he faster at the celebration than when he plays
Imagine him and Thomas Müller in one team. The opposite team would never know how they could lose the game.
More like him and Gerd Muller...linemen will go crazy
@@Mammadronicus_Rex poaching and tapins galore😂
him and Ruud VN... also a tap-in master
@@SarawakPollsterwould you say Hugo Sanchez is a tap in merchant tho?
He celebrated even tap-ins like he’d just cured world hunger 🤣🤣 love the guy!
Yes, indeed. I remember watching a game that Milan was winning by 3 goals already, basically just waiting the final whistle. Than he scored and celebrated so passionately (and lonelly) that made me laugh. "Can someone hug the guy, please?"
@@rodrigomolinsky every goal celebrated like he was a fan who’d been dragged down from the stands & chucked on 😂 everyone hated on inzaghi but I secretly loved the guy… but like Drogba (& I’m a spurs fan)
@@saneman7177 That's called passion , something that these new players doesn't have anymore. .. Only think about dancing and pay checks
He had insane positioning and football iq
Müller is the closest I've seen to his off the ball movement and he's not as clinical as Pippo was.
@@g1lmk romario and Lewandowski are also amazing in their off the ball movement
@@kcapo89 Romario?
@@R9naldo yes his positioning is the best I've seen from a striker defenders were in no mans land
@@kcapo89 I'm not sure because we know his finishing was amazing but if he also had perfect positioning he would've scored even more goals
Look at his passion
That’s the reason why i love italians
Something which United players must not have heard about! Pity
Football has changed tbh
I feel like most of the players are innit for the money now.
It's all about team!
On celebration
I love the way he celebrated. I have nothing against dancing and other silly stuff like ronaldo's jumping and posing, but it's like nothing is ever HARD anymore you know? Inzaghi was always "YES! WE DID IT!" it was pure joy of playing and nothing more. The ball is in the net and, for some seconds, nothing else matters, no even himself.
SIUUUUU!!

the way you make a joke about his normal speed and celebration speed, hahaha that's why we love this player
Clearly the celebrate speed is all you need to be successfull
Well he did have quite a good header and volley which got him many goals over the years
Strikers like Inzaghi who were OBSESSED with scoring is what is missing from the game today.
Diego Milito too
@@israelejembi6927The Prince👑
He only scored more than 20 in a season ONCE for AC Milan. Haaland just scored over 50 goals in a season.
Haaland is a great comparison, he is as hungry for goals and on top he has crazy good phisicality
You don't know what you're talking about.
Ah yes, back when you could have two forwards, and both had perfect positioning and control on the ball.
Superpippo and Sheva was a unique duo 💪
Why can’t you have two forwards now? Even a basic 442 would work if you have the right players
@@purplekush079 Because every big team looks to dominate the ball Therefore, 3 man midfields are the dominant tactic
@@opinionatortv6457 can I introduce you to the 3-5-2?
@@mirgjankupi128 The tactical discipline and athletic superiority the 3 defenders need to have to pull off a 3 back is insane, you would also need a world class coach who has multiple years of experience with the formation, very few teams can pull it off and obviously Tuchels Chelsea is the best example of this in recent times, but even they will probably have to revert back to a 4 man defense considering they will lose both Rudiger and Christensen to the Spanish titans
Nah you just need 2 fullbacks with iron lungs to play in midfield and take care of the entire lane. And 2 equally good substitutes.
Born in the offside area, The Legend Inzaghi
You said so so well. Born in the offside area. He was never given away that much when he was in that area.
his movements was beyond our understanding, perfect poacher
Wow i didnt know that dark magician loves Football
This Dude could even Evade the VAR....to score goals. The great poacher....arguably the last. His timing and the ability to play off the shoulders of the last man until that moment he beats the offside trap...the rest is history. Just watch his goal against Bayern Munich in the 007 semifinals and the final against Liverpool. In both cases, he beat the offside trap.
Haaland is new inzaghi
he was born to be a goal scorer
People say Inzaghi had no technique, but he obviously had just enough to make all these things happen
Because for a lot of people, when they say ,"technique", they mean "dribbling".
...
I think a Lot of people confuse "Flair" with technique, he didn't looked fancy but ofc has the technique and ability to do great in amazing teams, he has some a Lot of volleys and great goals from both legs too
he had something more powerful...he had psychic powers
His positioning was insanely underrated.
I really didn’t like him so much: he hadn’t a great technique but he was the greatest because of his sense of goal and position. He was always in the right place at the right time, incredible…
You must be a man utd fan
@@munenex Not at all… Napoli fan :)
no technique ?? do u know anything abt football
Inzaghi had crap technique , so you probably need to learn more because he admitted it himself

My guy, Inzaghi at his peak had a 8.5/10 dribbling
Nah, he had bricks for feet. His goals were usually ugly clusterfucks. And that’s what makes him so brilliant. He scores with his brain.
@@Sam-lo8yj that's exactly why his finishing is a 10, he can score with his fingers and get away with it if he wants, he's intelligent
@@porcodio582 ele não driblava bem,não era um driblador nato mas tinha um posicionamento excelente,qi muito avançado no futebol
He was a great player, you always knew he would score or make an assist. Brilliant vision, balance, acceleration and guile to torment any defense.
True Number 9 striker, legend, one of the last of his kind. If Guardiola had him in his team, he would tell him to quit football...
if guardiola had inzaghi in his team he can triplete till his retirement.
What beautiful days… I’m a Liverpool fan but I loved Serie A during this time, it was half my childhood
Compared to others in his era he wasn't a great football player but his iq and positioning made him elite. No physical or gifted advantages just a footballing mind that very few have
Yeah his technique is so-so, but I agree his striker's instinct and his positioning is superb.
To be honest, it was as if goals loved Inzaghi....the guy may not have been technically put of this world not athletically out of this world, but his attacking positioning was really out of this world.
He basically could beat faster players to the ball in the box due to his athletic positioning.....and his celebrations are fire. It's basically unbridled joy.
I dont know of you know It or not, but emiliano Mondonico an italian coach Say exactly the Same."it's not Inzaghi to love the goal, Is the goal that love Inzaghi"
@@pierru98 I honestly heard that from somewhere....and that coach is right.....I felt as if he eerily knew where the ball would bounce in the box, everything.
Even his celebration was as if he was thanking the football gods....and I mean this in a good way. He has so much joy, honestly. It was wonderful to see
Raul and Inzaghi a natural scorers
Old is gold...
There was true sport spirit back then..
All players in this generations were great...
I love them all
Today, it's over. Clowns party and make money
My favourite Milan player of all time and the biggest reason I support the rossonero to this day, 20 years after the first time I watched Milan played against Verona.
Inzaghis ball touch was extraordinary. Very good technique
Inzaghi would celebrate a tap in like he ran passed 5 players and scored 🤣🐐
In quella partita è riuscito addirittura a fare dei dribbling, oltre che gol pesanti e quel pallonetto finale.... Era tarantolato al massimo. Una partita indimenticabile!
Brilliant poacher while not having any outstanding flair or technical and athletic attributes. Thomas Muller embodies this energy.
Inzaghi had the most important aspect of a striker, goal instinct. His positioning and determination are off the charts.
Tomasson pulled an Inzaghi on Inzaghi
VAR would have drawn crazy lines and ruled it as offside
Nope.It wasn't offside
the last one quite possibly yes
One of my all-time favorites. Lucky to watch some of his matches live back when it was rather difficult for me to get tv access.
His passion for #ACMILAN is unbelievable
Pippo will always be the best striker#when you are a striker - all you need is to help the team to get the ball to the back of the net both assist and goal - Pippo is entirely passionate and a legend!! I never see a sticker celebrating a goal naturally passionate like him at all times #seeing him celebrating is another joy to see and to feel
Funny how Inzaghi and Sheva made almost identical goal scoring passes to each other during one game
That assist on Shevchenko ricocheted off a defender. Brilliant.
My God, what a beautiful era of futbol that was. Players that lived/breathed futbol, which imo is the only way to produce such complex maneuvers in such a seemingly simple manner (apologies for alliteration and pretentious muttering lol).
There was no need for 6 step overs because runs/positioning were/was intelligent.
I miss those era, AC Milan back then is a freaking monster
chi ha visto quella partita non la dimenticherà mai. pippo gol! pippo gol!
Dio fa!
Uno dei miei calciatori preferiti! Come tifoso del Milan non potrò mai scordare quei anni meravigliosi! Forza vecchio cuore rossonero! 🖤❤️🏆
his passionate celebration made him look like a newbie
people had not appreciated his greatness enough
Inzaghi and Conte passion is 🔥🔥🔥
Legend
Amo Baggio e i giocatori fantasiosi che accarezzano la palla, ma Filippo Inzaghi ho sempre fatto un´ eccezione. Amore puro per Pippo che mi ha emozionato come nessuno mai. Troppo bello.
Terrific content mr. Or mis.
Especific fragments to explain the whole game.
I will review others videos and im sure this will worth it a lot!!
Cheers from Argentina!
I really miss this era. Strikers were on a completely different level to nowadays. Inzaghi and Shevchenko were such a great partnership.
For me the most talented striker that ever played.
there have been many better ones but he sure was special
The most clever
I think most instinctive game sense was on another lever wasnt really really blessed with physical talent or flair
Hard working and best instinct, some manager even said he has no talent but have the best instinct for goal...
And his teammate said he always watch Opponent team match at least 20 times before they play Against them so he can find defender weakness...
R9?
Pipo gets the job done without hassles or fancy trick. Definitely a Milan legend for me!!🙌🏻
it is not Inzaghi who is in love with the goal. It is the goal to be in love with Inzaghi!
Kids will only talk about messi or ronaldo. But the OG football fans talk about players like Inzaghi
Great player
He is the best in the history.

This man is something else
On of the greatest
No pace wh0ring, no beast moding, no fancy pointless skills, just a clinical lethal finisher who got the job done whenever his team needed him
He just pure footballer..straight forward..♥
I'm really glad he became world champion, because literally every goal he scored he celebrated like he scored Grosso's penalty in the 2006 final.
He and Sheva are the lagends
It's like strikers like him are not being born anymore. He had not much stamina or pace, no dribbling, pretty average passing and headers at best. But all that was completely outshined by his amazing positioning and deadliest sense towards score. Defenders back then did fear him a lot because they knew he was unforgiving.
So inspirational
Underrated my g
The offside king! Pippo inzaghi🔥
His passion and the way he celebrated each goal was second to non, he was like a child scoring for the first time in the backyard
This milan team wil always be my favorite of all time inc Man Utd 2008/09 team
One will only appreciate the great Pippo if he/she played centre forward at some point in their career. The art of rareness and positioning. And as for technique, check out the goal he scored against Barca. Spectators always knows better than the participants...🤷
incredible
love him
Best football iq in the game. No speed, no technique, no power but was always there were he was supposed to be… celebrates every goal like he just scored the game winning goal in the stoppage time of the World Cup final😂❤️
He was a master of turning his defender with his back turned to goal
best striker i haven seen
Inzaghi was all about positioning
He's the icon for me, skinny guy, for do anything best at all cost...
He was my favorite player to use in Fifa World Cup 2002
brilliant
Loved super Pippo ❤️
Greatest Striker of all time for italy...
This guy and ruud had some insane positioning abilities. Ruud had additional skills, Pippo just had his positioning, and boy did he torment defenders with only just that 😂😂😂
Inzaghi era um kra sem muito brilho nas jogadas mas com um faro de gol absurdo sempre bem posicionado e um excelente finalizador
Very underrated player

Inzaghi's ball protection is legendary. And the guy is skinny as bones!
Underrated. Af. Back in. The day at smaller teams he used to kick fk. In the top.corner like. It. Was. Nothing
I love this striker forza Milan
How can you not love him?!?!? ❤🖤❤🖤❤🖤❤ SUPER PIPO!
Inzhaghi is an epic name.
That header... Pure Genius.
As an AC Milan fan, I always hate it when I saw his dribbling... but I hate and get angry more when he doesn't play Because when he is on the field, we know that the opponent's DF or GK is threatened for his existence. Goals are just waiting for the right moment
Goat in best positioning
No flashy moves,no speed ,the man got a brain and tenacity , no striker is like him nowadays.
Inzaghi and Van Nistelrooy- best positioning I ever saw.
It’s rare sight to see Inzaghi do an assisst 😂
That first bit alone (refused to go down after getting physical with the defender) showed the century gap between then and now.
Most of the time, we would just see players do a dolphin lunge after something like that; heck, maybe for something even softer!
Forza inzaghi ❤️🖤❤️
Super Phil !!!
He always position himself at the right place, at the right time.
El mejor festejador de goles del mundo.
