Not to mention inzaghi was plagued with injury. I still remember Mourinho told the press “I don’t care if Milan wants to play with 10 striker or what, but just don’t put Inzaghi on the Field.” People were laughing because Inzaghi was an injured 37 years old striker who didnt make any notable performances in that year. Even he was benched for injury in the 2nd leg which Milan lost. But for those who did not understand Inzaghi, they kept saying the first goal was lucky and the second goal was offside… That’s super Pippo for you😁
Hi Akram. Thank you sooo much for writing a comment on this video. Really appreciate it dude 🙏🙏 Yeah indeed. I remember specifically how Pippo Inzaghi missed most of the 2003-04, which made him miss the Euro 2004 as well (and Italy missed his goals in that tournament). Sure he doesn't dribble or juggle the ball like CR or Messi but to say he had no technical skill is a bit misleading. He received long and through balls with brilliant subtle deft touches, setting up many of his trademark "boring" goals.
please keep making videos, especially the "before their takeover ones" you have better insight into Italian football than some channels that have 100k+ subscribers! you'll for sure get there as well!
Hi...Thank you soooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it , my friend 🙏🙏 Yeah, I gotta say, those "before their takeover" videos were my favorite to make 😀 Thank you. Your comment really made my day
Hey dude. I'd even say Giroud still has a decent technical abilities. I'd say yeah, Giroud is an evolution from the Inzaghi type that was required from modern football. I would say Mauro Icardi is the exact "like for like" profile. Thank you for the comment. Really appreciate it dude 🙏🙏
@@FootballDrawn i would agree with this, but both Icardi and Giroud are way more gifted Mario Gomez, Bayern 2009-13 was very very much like Pippo, but Pippo was way faster at his responses Edit: Technically gifted with the ball*

Hey John. Thank you soooo much for leaving a comment on the video. Really appreciate it dude. Yeah absolutely. That ability to ghost defenders...his in-box intelligence was unmatched.
Bravo, ottimo video.
'It's not about love the goal but by being loved by the goal itself' that's how i would describe Inzhagi. Edit:Also many mistaken this but Cruyff word for inzhagi isn't criticism it's compliment bcs Positioning for Cruyff is the essence.
Kids just don’t know how good inzaghi was, he was constantly marked by the best centerbacks ans always somehow escaped them and scored at crucial moments
Absolutely dude. I think the ability to be at the right place in the right time is really underappreciated. Thank you sooo much for writing a comment on the video. Really appreciate it, dude 🙏🙏
What amazed me about Pippo was the only time you saw him it was when the ball made it's way into the post and Super Pippo suddenly sprinting in a frenzy. I miss him the most.

Hi Shakti. Thank you soooo much for leaving a comment. Really appreciate it dude :)) Absolutely. Even when I was watching him 2 decades ago, I always felt like he has his poison ready for any moment.
For me, he is the best striker ever if you want to a goal and win. His 2 goals against Liverpool are my favorites and proof that football is about positioning and composure.
Indeed. In terms of intelligence, and positioning, there's rarely anyone better as a number 9. Thank you soooooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it dude 🙏🙏
I think Haaland could. Many say he only scores tap-ins. But his positional awareness and ability to be at the right place could make him similar to Inzaghi
Hey Elias. Thank you soo much for the comment. Really appreciate it. Honestly, I'm really glad that we're seeing another "classic" number 9 again. Reminds me of my childhood era in 90's, when we had many forwards of that ilk. I personally think Haaland is verrrrrrrrrry close to Bobo Vieri. Both big and incredibly strong as an ox, both left-footed, but I think Haaland will go even further, as Vieri was a party boy.
Always loved SuperPippo. You don't score that many goals for that many teams for that many years by accident. Also, I really enjoyed the little drawings a lot!
Hey dude...Thank you sooo much for watching the video, and subscribing. It really means alot to me 🙏🙏 Yeah, honestly, I've rarely seen anyone that lethal with just few chances
Pippo Inzaghi is what i believe a Striker is. You can dribble and pass as a false 9 and be a playmaker, but a Striker's NO.1 requirement, is goals. A striker needs to be where the space is most deadly. Inzaghi had that. He would be there, and then the most important thing for a striker: finishing. Even if he could be there, what use would it be if he couldn't score? But he did. Positioning to a critical spot, and clincal finishing. That is a striker's bread and butter
Why would anybody hate inzaghi? There are some players that deserve hate but Inzaghi isn’t one of them. A misunderstood player perhaps but had a special skill set.
Hey dude. Thank you for leaving a comment on the video. Really appreciate it :)) Ofcourse, with today's lens, he's not hated, but I remember when I was watching him in late 90's and 2000's (when skill was celebrated over efficiency), he wasn't liked at all by fans (unless he was in your team). I'm glad the narrative around Pippo Inzaghi's legacy has changed these days, but unfortunately it wasn't the case 2 decades ago.
Hey Griffin. Thank you sooooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it, dude. It's crazy to see this many Milan fans since I started this channel. Always a blessing to run into fellow Rossoneri❤️🖤
Inzaghi and Muller have my respect. As a kid I wanted to be like Raul or Inzaghi. Who cares about the ball, just pass it into space so I can score, ideally with 0 dribbling. Games are won with goals, how you score.. nobody gonna remember.
Hahahaa....Verrrrrry well said, dude. I had a childhood friend that we used to call Pippo, because that's all he did in our street football. He just did the scoring :))
Hey Leorio. Thank you sooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it :)) Honestly, I didn't even know Blue Lock initially, but from the comments that I got, it seems like there's a character that's based on Pippo Inzaghi.
For Inzaghi has has no strength, no technical skills. But he can see the things before it happened and that imo is the greatest quality a striker could have.
For me , football is a simple game where players do the tasks as simple as possible. .. That's why there are 11 players on the team , not 1 vs 1 match. .. Everyone hold their own respective task and do it accordingly as a team. .. No need some fancy BS tricks , some superhuman speed or strenght nor godly dribbling skills. .. You just had to play the game , enjoy yourself , score the goal and win the match
maybe haaland should learn more from inzaghi, because alot of defenders surround themselves around haaland which stops him from scoring goals as much as he used to. imo
Simone Inzaghi is actually his younger brother, who was also a striker. There was one Italy squad that both were called up for at the same time, which remains Simone Inzaghi's only international cap. Simone's career was usually under Pippo's shadow, although as a coach, Simone seems to be the more successful one. Thank you for the comment. Really appreciate it 🙏🙏
Hi Ayush. Thank you for the comment. Of course, now the narrative is different, but in late 90's/early 2000's, it was different. He had alot of haters back then (including me, when he was playing in Juventus). Looking back, I was wrong to hate him 😄😄
Filippo Inzaghi's success in football is clear to anyone with a deep understanding of the game. Inzaghi was a master at converting opportunities into goals. His ability to finish chances, particularly in tight spaces within the final 20-25 meters, was remarkable. Inzaghi's style was not about dazzling dribbles or physical dominance; it was about being relentlessly focused on scoring. His exceptional sense of positioning and timing, combined with his single-minded determination, allowed him to excel where others could not. He proved that football isn’t just about technique or athleticism-it’s also about intelligence, anticipation, and a relentless drive to succeed.
Fifa Made a lot of our Younger generation Disrespect and Underrate Just How clinical Inzaghi was

Sure he doesn't dribble or juggle the ball like CR or Messi but to say he had no technical skill is a bit misleading. He received long and through balls with brilliant subtle deft touches, setting up many of his trademark "boring" goals.
Hey dude...Thank you for checking out the video. Really appreciate it.
Yeah...I think you're right. He was a brilliant receiver of the ball
The greatest super-sub and a clinical finisher
Absolutely dude. Very well said
Another amazing video!
Thanks alot dude. Really appreciate it. Always a pleasure seeing your comments. Thank you, as always 🙏
Love the video mate
Thank you sooo much dude. Always a pleasure reading your comments on my videos 🙏🙏
please keep making videos, especially the "before their takeover ones"
you have better insight into Italian football than some channels that have 100k+ subscribers! you'll for sure get there as well!
Hi...Thank you soooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it , my friend 🙏🙏
Yeah, I gotta say, those "before their takeover" videos were my favorite to make 😀
Thank you. Your comment really made my day
Congrats on your 2k subscribers😍😍🥳🥳🥳
Thank you sooo much. Really appreciate the comment. 🙏🙏
Brilliant video on Italian football. Thank you for covering a Milan story
Thank you sooo much, my friend. Really appreciate it 🙏🙏
As someone younger who hasn't seen him play, after hearing the last question, does giroud counts? With less goals of cause but he still scores
@@FootballDrawn i would agree with this, but both Icardi and Giroud are way more gifted
Mario Gomez, Bayern 2009-13 was very very much like Pippo, but Pippo was way faster at his responses
Edit: Technically gifted with the ball*
@@pashkodreshaj2558 Hi Pashko. Yeah, indeed. Pashko was another one of those "fox in the box" prototype that Pippo Inzaghi was as well :))
He actually scored a free kick goal while at atalanta! I was shocked when I saw it
Hahahha...I think I saw that in a highlight goals video as well. Quite surprising 😀😀
Isagi and Blue Lock brought me here
Hi Saptarshi...Thank you for checking out the video. Really appreciate it 🙏🙏
Yeah, I never realized how similiar the Blue Lock character is, until people started pointing it out 😃😃
@@FootballDrawn because Isagi is Inzaghi in anime/manga
@@future_ed1tX i should actually start watching it :))
@@FootballDrawn I highly recommend you, man it is just peak Sports anime/manga
Me and you who read are like Pippo Inzaghi, and this is enough to inspire our daily life to be better everyday.
Absolutely dude. Verrrrry well said !!!
That clip of the goal against Juve you showed. If that is not technical ability then idk what technical ability is.
Good point. Love your profile name btw 😀😀
As a Milan fan. Pippo inzaghi and Andrei shevchenco best couple of forwards ever.
They were perfectly matched...both with their strength and weaknesses. Amazing pair on the pitch, and in Playstation 😀
@@FootballDrawn BTW - I am so happy that i found your channel. I like your drawings and your style of storytelling. I have subscribed and watched some of your videos. thank you for all what you are doing)))
@@rodi_17 Thank you sooo much for checking out my channel. Really appreciate your love and support. Really means alot to me. Much love :))
He had pace and a crazy work rate as well but his ability to ghost defenders and read the game was on another level.
Hey John. Thank you soooo much for leaving a comment on the video. Really appreciate it dude.
Yeah absolutely. That ability to ghost defenders...his in-box intelligence was unmatched.
Bravo, ottimo video.
Thank you soooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it :))
Absolutely agree with everything (had to put it on Google Translate) :))
You made a 8 minute video seem like 3 minutes
Thanks alot dude. Really appreciate it. You're quite close to 1K. Keep going dude. Thank you for the comment 🙏🙏
@@FootballDrawn thanks bro! Could I have a shoutout?
People confuse technique for dribbling. He had an adequate enough technique to roll defenders and be dangerous
Very true, my friend
Love your videos on Italian football, and the premier league. Please make a video on Manchester United
Thank you sooo much. Really appreciate it. 🙏🙏
Well, I'll have you know that the next video is about Manchester United 😀
'It's not about love the goal but by being loved by the goal itself' that's how i would describe Inzhagi.
Edit:Also many mistaken this but Cruyff word for inzhagi isn't criticism it's compliment bcs Positioning for Cruyff is the essence.
Verrrrrry well said :))
never hated him, guy's scored tons of goal for milan so yea 😙😙😙😙
Hahaahhaa...Yeah, to be honest, it's different when he's our player 😀😀
Thank you so much for the comment. Really appreciate it 🙏🙏
Kids just don’t know how good inzaghi was, he was constantly marked by the best centerbacks ans always somehow escaped them and scored at crucial moments
@@sayemulislam8716 Ohhh boy...those passionate celebrations. He was certainly one of us :))

more Milan videos as well please!!
There's a good couple of Milan topics that I've already started to write the script for. Hopefully, at least one of them will come out soon.
Thank you, Sid, for both your comments. Really appreciate it🙏🙏
His game might look ugly, but its actually clinical precision. This guy would always have the ending game killing goal dagger ready.
Hi Shakti. Thank you soooo much for leaving a comment. Really appreciate it dude :))
Absolutely. Even when I was watching him 2 decades ago, I always felt like he has his poison ready for any moment.
Pippo didn't "deserve" to score, like much hyped young strikers today. He was just efficient and scored.
Verrrrry well-said, my friend :))
@@FootballDrawn it goes to Gerd Müller for the best positioning and goal awareness. World Cup 1974 final goal as example.
@@auandi True...very few existed like Gerd Muller
Cruijff added - parhaps later, not sure - 'He can't play but I would always put him on there because he always scores.'
In fact, around when he scored that brace against Real, Sir Alex expressed his respect for Super Pippo and his longevity as a poacher.
Oh, I didn't know there was more after that Cruijff quote. Thank you for the clarification. Really appreciate it dude :))
Pippo inzhagi ...amazing ...
Hi Sigit. Thank you for writing a comment. Really appreciate it. Thank you 🙏🙏
Always loved SuperPippo. You don't score that many goals for that many teams for that many years by accident.
Also, I really enjoyed the little drawings a lot!
Hey dude...Yeah, absolutely agreed. Thank you soooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it :))
Inzaghi was just lethal! In any competition was it Serie A, Champions or International.
Btw your videos are lit bro! Subscribed!
Hey dude...Thank you sooo much for watching the video, and subscribing. It really means alot to me 🙏🙏
Yeah, honestly, I've rarely seen anyone that lethal with just few chances
Pippo Inzaghi is what i believe a Striker is. You can dribble and pass as a false 9 and be a playmaker, but a Striker's NO.1 requirement, is goals. A striker needs to be where the space is most deadly. Inzaghi had that. He would be there, and then the most important thing for a striker: finishing. Even if he could be there, what use would it be if he couldn't score? But he did.
Positioning to a critical spot, and clincal finishing. That is a striker's bread and butter
God, I miss the "true 9" strikers. Getting fed up with all these Guardiola-type false nines...and Pippo Inzaghi was the truest of all 9's :)))
Why would anybody hate inzaghi? There are some players that deserve hate but Inzaghi isn’t one of them. A misunderstood player perhaps but had a special skill set.
Hey dude. Thank you for leaving a comment on the video. Really appreciate it :))
Ofcourse, with today's lens, he's not hated, but I remember when I was watching him in late 90's and 2000's (when skill was celebrated over efficiency), he wasn't liked at all by fans (unless he was in your team).
I'm glad the narrative around Pippo Inzaghi's legacy has changed these days, but unfortunately it wasn't the case 2 decades ago.
LOL.. when I was still high school, we called Inzaghi "a sticker" because he stays at the edge of the offside line.
Hahahahaa...Yeah dude. He was the master of time and space, and that meant that he was gonna be in offside quite a bit 😀😀
Pippo my favourite striker
Hi Sahil. Thank you for the comment. Really appreciate it. 🙏🙏
Yeah indeed, my favorite too😀
Sometime ppl forget how fast he's inside the box
He had this way of "sniffing" for chances in the box. Unmatched intelligence
Inzaghi the Offside man! 😅
One the underrated players...
Maybe we can compare him with Thomas Muller in today's football...
What do you think? 🙂
Indeed, Both Muller's and Pippo Inzaghi's intelligence can definitely be compared to on another 👍
Following cause we’re both Milan fans ❤️🖤
Damn, this was really nice video. I learned about him from Blue Lock. It's really amazing how you made this video just before the show started airing.
Hey Leorio. Thank you sooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it :))
Honestly, I didn't even know Blue Lock initially, but from the comments that I got, it seems like there's a character that's based on Pippo Inzaghi.
You can be the most technical striker in the world but at the end of the day what does count it's if you can put the ball in the net.
Absolutely well said
For Inzaghi has has no strength, no technical skills. But he can see the things before it happened and that imo is the greatest quality a striker could have.
The best compliment I can give to Pippo Inzaghi is that he was at the right place, at the right time. Much like Spiderman 😀😀
He's like Anakin and Kenobi combined
His goal vs barcelona in 2010 is my favorite goal
Ohhh boy...the one in Camp Nou. What a beauty !!! The assist from Clarence Seedorf was an art

Verrrrry well said. Thank you sooo much for the comment. Really appreciate it :))
Bro is the reason the term goal poacher exists
hahahahaa...the true fox in the box
Ghost of the box ❤🖤
In true definition!!
OI OI OI OI OI OI PIPPO INZAGHI SEGNA PER NOI ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
maybe haaland should learn more from inzaghi, because alot of defenders surround themselves around haaland which stops him from scoring goals as much as he used to. imo
hahahaahaaa
is simone inzaghi his brother or its a common name in italy??
Simone Inzaghi is actually his younger brother, who was also a striker. There was one Italy squad that both were called up for at the same time, which remains Simone Inzaghi's only international cap. Simone's career was usually under Pippo's shadow, although as a coach, Simone seems to be the more successful one.
Thank you for the comment. Really appreciate it 🙏🙏
He does have a great first touch though

Hi Ayush. Thank you for the comment.
Of course, now the narrative is different, but in late 90's/early 2000's, it was different. He had alot of haters back then (including me, when he was playing in Juventus).
Looking back, I was wrong to hate him 😄😄
Inzaghi had great skill and vision.
SUPER PIPPO🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Thank you for the comment, Daniele. Really appreciate it 🙏🙏
Super Pippo for the win !!! 😃😃
He was the master of time & space...the "art" of being at the right place at the right time. His intelligence was elite
Messi 90℅ talent 10℅ hard working, cristiano 50℅ talent 50℅ hard working, inzaghi 0℅ talent 100% hard working... Thats true
