Great job on that exhaust! Those pipes are tight. Amazing how you got that large pipe without rubbing or vibrating against anything. I’m gonna have to do wheel spacers to make more room for mine as well. The fire out of the exhaust at the end is awesome!Thank you for sharing! Happy New Year!

I was contemplating building a custom exhaust setup for a perfectly semtrical twin turbo 5.3L LS. In which cylinders 1, 3, 5, 7 feed one turbo (probably something similar to a GT30) and cylinders 2, 4, 6, 8 feed the other turbo. Without a crossover pipe of any sort. I feel like I would be better able to tuck the exhaust from the turbos to the outside edges of the chassis and not have to deal with interference from the bottom of the engine block, transmission, or driveshaft. I would split the turbo exhaust having part of it going to the front of the car for an electric cutout on each side in front of the front tire on each side and the other part of it going backwards exiting right in front of the rear tire on each side. So it would basically be like older vehicles (and some new vehicles) with true dual exhaust. However since all of the exhaust would be going through one of the turbos (unfortunately) it would not sound like an old raspy big block V-8. Or is a crossover pipe necessary for everything to function correctly? Thanks in advance for any advice, opinions, or answers. Regards
I never ran into a turbo fox with an exhaust note I liked. Personally I think most sound like CRAP. However yours turned out really nice! That car of your has a really good sound. I've always liked N/A, or centrifugal setup with the classic nice whistle to go with mean exhaust note. To me that's SEXY! To some a fast car doesn't have to sound good, but for me a fast car sounding good is a must!

It's a pretty sweet setup, i like the dual outlet tail pipes for a turbo exhaust, sound good for that type exhaust, as you know turbo exhaust don't always sound to good, nice job!!

Maybe a stupid question Dan, why the 363 stroker over the 351/408 you had brother. I’m at this exact crossroad right now and without going to a dart block, building anything close to 500hp using a stock 302 block… we know the possibly outcome.
I wanted the better engine in my blk car. I put the 408 in my white car.
What are you thought on header wrap vs ceramic coating? I had a kit on my car that was wrapped and I found cracks all up and down it, and it has me wanting to ceramic coat my next one.
I dont coat shit TBH. So it can be fixed and found when it happens.

Mine is damn near identical. I need to find a muffler for the wastegate or find a way to route it back into the downpipe. It can be pretty obnoxious at times.

I think it is amazing how you got those pipes to fit up there like that great job.That's basically how my exhaust is done. It has a Hellion turbo kit that has a Y pipe with a cut out that connects to the Cat-Back system so you can exhaust before the mufflers. I love it when people pull up to me and try me at a light because the car sounds completely stuck until I flipped the switch and open my cut out the look on people's faces when I do that 😂 then when we get to the next light I always get oh you got a turbo on that I see. Just the other day I had an old guy in a early '90s Corvette pull up to me revving his motor and I just sat there smiled at him and when the light turned green I allowed him to take the hit and it was so funny to see his face when I blew by him with the wastegates opened and the turbo spolling he had this blank look like what the hell just happened.

No need to explain the welds - I do my own work too! On my ‘93 I have an old school Incon TT kit which mates to any standard h or x pipe and catback but in my case the fun came when I did the Maximum Motorsports torque arm… had to cut and reconfigure pretty much anything from the O2’s back to the mufflers. I used a MIG too but tried doing flux core SS wire since I didn’t want to spend the cash on SS gas - shits a mess! But it’s sealed and works!!

What kind of gas I run sunoco gtx260 also your losing a lot of power with those mufflers

I have an exhaust setup kind of like yours, but mine has a 2 inch pipe after Y pipe which is located below the starter, so one of the 2" pipes goes around tranny bell housing and the rest of piping is the same when it was

But I'm planning to install a boost cut out, so I don't have to take off the V band plus the 2 donuts. I guess you can do the same, that way you don't loose power at higher RPMs
That way below 2k RPMs is going to sound amazing 💪🏻😎

I had a blue vert with a b&g kit. Had a 70mm master power turbo. I actually purchased the car directly from Brian, owner of b&g. It was a trade from one of his customers who built it. It was a 3" dp and split into 2 1/2" tails. Looked like a stock lx exhaust and was fairly quiet even though it had 8" long straight through mufflers. No one knew what just busted their ass till it was too late. Lol tons of fun.
