You just saved me like $400!!! I finished a 22x24 baby dragon painting by Randal Spangler that I want to hang in my kitchen. The dragons are making cookies😁so what better place than the kitchen?! Gonna seal it, paint it, hang it. Thank you!!
I trim my canvas edge to 1/2" wide all the way around and then use duck tape of contrasting color and cut a piece to measure for 1 side and 1 top and then rip the tape in 1/2 and apply to pic edge and fold excess to the back. I flatten it down with a rolling pin.
Thankyou, had wondered if acrylic paint would work on the canvas, have bought a value for money fre (cheap) but the matting is still slightly too big for picture, I think I now have my solution.
So far, the best and cheapest DIY framing I've learned. Thanks for the bright idea!
It really is a nice finish. Hope you try it and love it!
You’re a great teacher with some brilliant ideas!!
Well done...quickest and least expensive framing method I’ve come across. And it looks great!
Thanks so much! I love this technique!
