I liked him. He was very down to earth and easy to listen to. I especially liked when he said he didn’t know what he was doing. I have purchased several diamond paintings but haven’t done one yet. This makes me want to.
I bought some diamond paintings and it literally took me months before I started on them and once I did one, I couldn't get enough of them! I finish one and start on another. I have a portfolio that I put them in until I'm ready for the next step. I wish you the best of luck. I wished I would have started them sooner!
Thank you for the video. I do have 2 suggestions. When you are painting the edges you can put a bowl under your canvas. That will keep it from it from sticking to the paper and give you access to all the sides. Also the wood should have a primer coat so your final coat will go on smoother and give you a better finish.
This was nice! Gave me great ideas for some small diamond paintings I never thought I would ever hang up. But now you’ve peaked my interest and I think I will give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
I have completed a few DPs but have never framed any. Thanks for the informative video. Now I’m going to go out and get some frames and get mine on the wall!!!
I also saw where someone used Elmer's clear glue for a sealer. I have been wondering how to seal these and keep them glossy and also framing them. Thanks for the video on how to do this.
I just saw someone else say that when they used Elmers glue...after sitting on the wall for a while... it started to crack and the diamonds came off with the glue.
@@patriciamillar5496 further research.... the only product routinely recommended by experienced diamond painters.... is "MinWax PolyAcrylic Clear Gloss"... and it is all I would ever use. Anything like a glue or modge podge.... will crack and yellow with age.... it may also affect the sparkle of the diamonds.... make it duller. MinWax doesn't do any of this. Katie from Diamonds and Washi... left her canvas outside to dry and it got caught in a freak rain storm. No damage to the canvas.... it didn't even get wet!... totally sealed.
Once you put it on the canvas place another thin coat of Mod Podge, it will help it stay on the canvas. Double-sided tape falls off after a month or two. Have done many of these this way.
I was just giving the same thing. Glad u mentioned them both as I know the MP gives it a glossy look and double sided tape doesn't last. Someone else used hot glue.
Nope! Me too! She likes to step in the poured tray of drills and then walk on the sticky section... leaving drills stuck in weird places!! Use a clean, new toothbrush to clean your painting after it's done.😻
thanks for the video. Just to note, the sound was very quiet and I had to turn it up a lot. Then when I got an alert to a message on facebook I almost got blown out of my chair!
Great video Do you have a video on how to frame a diamond painting behind glass? Also, how do you even buy a frame for a diamond painting if the paintings have metric measurements and we use different measurements in the USA? Interested in your feedback on this. Thanks!
Dommage qu’il reste du blanc sur le côté gauche. Ne vaudrait il pas mieux couper à ras au cutter ? Ou passer un très léger trait de noir sur le bord du Dp pour obtenir une finition parfaite ?
Hi Dawn, We use a ruler and measure just the filled in part of the canvas. Then we look for frames that are close. We found some good cheap ones at Walmart and also at Ross Dress For Less. You can also paint a canvas and then stick them to that. Check out Walmart for some good ideas. Hope this helps. Paul
Here is probably somewhat an ignorant question as I’m rather new to the diamond art. Why is there so much white background showing in between the beads. I bought a set of four 5x7 pictures for my kids this Christmas. We’ve never done this before so decided to start small. The canvas though has the print of the picture on it. If I have an area for black beads the background is black as well same with all other colours. There are no white spots showing from behind the beads. Why is this happening with your picture? I got a bit to excited about this little project myself so not to take it away from my kids I bought myself a lovely sunset picture of my own. 35*35 cm (about 14x14 inches) The background canvas has the print of the picture as well, therefore it matches the colours of the beads. I’m mystified by it. Did your art canvas came in all white?
Canvas quality is dependent on the company you buy them from. Some cheaper ones will not have the picture rendered properly on the canvas and that will allow multiple colours to show through instead of the colour that should be showing. Of note.... round diamonds are easier to use... however, because they are round.... the colour of the canvas will show through. This is normal with the exception of the above paragraph. Square diamonds on the other hand... while harder and take more patience to place... provide a finished project that is clearer and more true to the original picture (ie.... a more pixilated picture and better rendering).... AND... because the diamonds are square.... NO background colour of the canvas will show through. Enjoy your Diamond Painting adventure! How exciting to try it with your kids!!❤❤❤
@mycreativeheart4159 I meant I purchased a sealer that wasn't cheap it was specifically for diamond art, but it makes the art sticky when it's dry and says it on the package. Whaybis it sticky are they all sticky
@@donnayoung4289Weird. I'm new to diamond painting and haven't tried to seal one yet. I've only sealed rocks and paper artwork with a spray on art sealer bought at an art store. Thanks for your input!
I had trouble hearing video unless I had it on highest volume. Then, when ads came on, they were blasting way too loud. Thanks for a great How-To video, though. I was very nervous as to how I would frame my first diamond paintings.
Anyone else get anxious when he was painting on that lovely oak top with no paper or plastic protection? Thanks for the tutorial. I just finished my first diamond art painting and wondered how to get it up on the wall.
Very informative and I love he's so down-to-earth and his approach. However if he could speak up just a little bit it would be great. He gets away from the microphone at all and you can barely hear him but I do enjoy the videos
There are reasonably priced frames specifically for diamond paintings. However! My experience is that even when buying the correct size frame with a mat for my DP, the DP often does not come to the edge of the mat. The whole canvas fits perfectly, and the mat is a standard size all around. But the DP is NOT a standard size to fit within the mat. There are gaps between where the DP ends and the mat begins. THIS IS THE FAULT OF THE DP COMPANIES, NOT THE FRAME COMPANIES. It’s so frustrating. DO A BETTER JOB!

What type of glue/adhesive would you use?

You are so welcome!
I really like the frame . I think it brings out the yellow flowers. The d. Painting is beautiful.. nice video .. TFS. 🇨🇦🍁

Hi Polly, Great idea. We were going to use some sort of glue or adhesive if we were going to do it permanently. Thanks for the great advice. Paul

Good video. Thank you.
Just wondering , is there a reason for painting with foam rather than a regular brush ?
Onvoorstelbaar, kliederen met verf. Indien je het werkstuk verhoogt, kun je overal goed bij.
Great ideas..thank you
Thank you Nancy.
Great tips❤️
Hi Terri,
Thank you so much! Paul
thank you for the info...1st time diamond painting..could not pay the prices for framing
You are so welcome!
I really liked these ideas, but what can you do with the larger, odd sized diamond arts?
Hi Sylvia.....we are working on a framing video for those types too! That will be the next one in our series. Thanks
I was gona ask the same question
Use magnetic poster hangers or look for videos about using coloured duct tape for framing DP's.
I saw a lady doing foam board. There’s white and black. I have not tried it.

I framed mine with black duct tape and hung it with clips on push pins.
Now that's thinking! Love it.
Yeah. saw your video
Instead of scissors to cut canvas, I used a straight edge and a rotary cutter
Hi Marge, That's a great idea!
What scissors I almost got fabric cutters but scared won't cut it evenly what scissors did you use?
Good Ideas!
Glad you like them!
Thank you
Good morning
Just found your channel
And signed up thanks
What kind of paint did you use for the boaders
Thanks Lesley. Folk Art Enamels....it comes in little plastic bottles at walmart.
Can anyone tell me how long the sealant needs to dry before framing?? Thank u!!
I let mine dry over night and it is good to go.
Which type of paint did u use.
hi. I would like to ask something. since you have done many piece of diamond art. is there any one if it become yellowish after being sealed?
I've never seen it and I've sealed half a dozen all over a year ago.
@@diamondxpres-diamondpaintingYay, I'm glad to hear that. thanks for replying. It somehow make me confident to seal my diamond art.

great ideas but i would put some newspaper down so the paint doesnt get on your table
Thanks for the tip!
I enjoyed your ideas though.
I use a rolling pin
That's a great idea!
