Thank you. This was really helpful and I too walk the track multiple times and then promptly forget it so I'm not the only one! Unfortunately I'm just getting it down by the last session and then it's time to go home. I think this is the solution!
If you wanted to actually map out the autocross would you just click add segment at each cone and if so would you go right by the cone or kind of in the center of the lane
Hi few questions about track addict, I don’t want it to record the video can I just have it record the road course laptimes for me? And does it do that via GPS and I don’t need to connect to OBDII right?
You can go data only, you have to turn the video recording off in the settings. Correct, Track Addict uses the phone's GPS. Only need to connect OBII from an OBDII reader if you want the throttle inputs from the car and gear selection. The external blue tooth GPS that I use just makes the data tracing more accurate than the phone by itself.
Follow up, touch the camera icon then touch the top left box that shows the recording quality and which camera. There you can change which camera and turn it off alltogether.

Sure you already figured it out, but you just swipe right ot left from segment to drag, circuit, etc. Select Circuit, hit Selct Track, then add new track, and you can search for nearvy tracks. THey have preloaded ones, but if you dont find the one you need you can add it. Not exactly sure how, but probably similar to segment.
Good evening, you explained this extreamly well, this will be my 1st time using Track addict, so if you dont mind me asking, after I set where the start line3 is, I can literally just walk the whole course like I normally do then when I reach the finnish line, I just do what you said and set the finish line, is this correct? Thanks
Yes, set start, walk your course, have a cup of coffee, set finish. It just sets the start and finish points. Doesnt record the track until you make the run.
Hello, just actually used it for the first time and did everything like you said set the start and the finish line but for some reason, when I did my runs, could never get the starting and finish light timers to trip on it so I always go a no time on my runs, the video portion and everything else on it worked pretty much perfectly, just not the timers...
@@geauxturbo Hello, Dont know if you'll see this or not, but you were telling me in your last reply about enabling Start on Acceleration in the options section of the app, welll actually looking at the option section right now and unless I am totally missing it, I dont see anything in the way of a section about enabling start when you press the gas pedal, on yours, under options, would you happen to know where that is located, I mean under what section of the options Setup page? I sure would appreciate, been trying to get this app to work the way it is supposed to, but even after trying it for a whole autocross season, can never get it to start when I pass my timing lights and actually STOP when I cross our Finish timing lights, I mean well over half the time, it just keeps on running and doesnt stop.....Thanks......
well now I have tried Track addict at least 10 times now, and when I set it up I thought I really did everything correctly, when I was standing at my starting timers both start and finish, I pressed the SET POINT HERE button and it reconigize where the timing lights were, and also made sure that I selected the right option under WIde, normal, or whatever the other one was, but would you believe that I could still never get it to actually record and work the way it was supposed to, really ticked me off, I have pretty much Now given up on track addict to EVER worrk like it is supposed to, and this is over 10 times trying to use it.....
Speedometer, yes because it uses gps and it shows on the display. Tach, only of you have an OBD2 dongle with bluetooth connected. But all you can do is set a shift alarm, it doesnt display the rpm.
That's a bit more complicated, you have to have racerender or a similar program to do that. Only other way is to have a video capture program that can capture while you're watching the replay with the overlay. I'm sure they are out there.

Extremely helpful between runs as well. I can pinpoint my errors more easily since I have both video and data on the quickness.

Is the auto start feature reliable? Has it ever let you down?
It did let me down at least once per 6 runs before I got the 10hz extrenal GPS. Since then, its worked very well.
