- Some people have asked me how I get my data overlays on my racing videos, so I put together a little overview of the equipment, apps, and cameras I use to capture my driving.

Can you not use an Apple Watch instead of taking your phone w’with you since I do gokart
You know that’s something I never thought of. I don’t have an Apple Watch but, I would like to try that out someday.
Great info and video. Wondering, can you obtain braking data with the app?
Unfortunately with the Kiwi, Braking is a channel that isn’t available.
This video is sweet, and super helpful! But how are you getting the video with data overlay out of track addicts app to your computer, e.g. to make this video? Does it have to go through race render? The only way to "Export Video & Data" from the app is via RaceRender which fails over WiFi/USB.
So, I had that issue with my app for a little while too. I use iOS and when I first got the app I was able to transfer via wi-fi. Then I think with an update to my phone, it completely made it not possible. So I had to export the data via csv file, email it to myself, and the upload the csv file into race render. I had to do the same thing with the video but turn off all the gauge overlays in track addict, export the video, email it to myself/drop box, then bring both the CSV and Video into track addict and match up the data points. Then another update to iOS and now the wi-fi transfer works just fine again. Really odd but, it works for the time being. I'm thinking of making an updated video on just racerender; not sure if that would be useful or not.

Hey, nice video. From what I understood, you're pulling all the data (speed, engine rpm, throttle, etc) from your OBD and g forces from the phone itself of course. What I'm curious about is related to how fast your OBD is sending/refreshing data. For the amount of PIDs that the app is retrieving, it seems a very very high refresh rate. Do you have any idea of how many requests is your OBD able to process? Thank you.
Thank you! Full disclosure, what you're referencing "PIDs" is actually beyond my understanding and skill set of capturing data. So I wouldn't be able to give you an answer.

Can the vid be linked with vcm scanner?
I'm not entirely sure. It may be possible I just don't have any knowledge of integrating it with a VCM Scanner.
