i already said this once, but you keep covering these niche pedals right as i’m about to buy them! i’ve actually got a keeley dyno my roto coming in instead tho. looking forward to ‘80s rack chorus and rotary vibes 🥰 appreciate the videos!!
The internal DIP switch thing is a trend that's getting annoying. A good alternative for settings they don't want accidentally changed is to just use flush-mount switches on the exterior.
Really love your playing in the first song. Great Mac Demarco vibes. Excellent pedal too. Your videos are excellent and your channel deserves way more views
Thank you so much! I’m always fearful of putting my playing out there because its not on par with a lot of the pros, but reading comments like yours makes me thankful for an appreciative audience. Also, I love a good afternoon windows open listen to Salad Days.
@@StompboxBreakdown I very much prefer watching your "humble" playing instead of most of the wannabe guitar heroes of RUclips, the vast majority of which chose flexing their chops over playing something pleasing.
HAH! "Electric meat"!!! Dude that's such a riot! I'm going to borrow that! The flanger reminds me of a Ralph Bakshi film. What a cool pedal. Might make me like chorus again. Great video as usual.
Another great, informative vid! Here's a pro tip I haven't shared with anyone yet: Prymaxe has been selling "open box" Dawner Prince Boonars on eBay for $230 (new they're $350). Thing is, they're actually new. I bought one, thought it was a fluke, bought another, and it was also still sealed. This is my attempt to get an Echorec clone on the channel LOL
Yeah, I think that’s Prymaxe’s thing. I’ve bought a few “used” pedals from them that were brand new. I’m guessing they’re either doing it to get around minimum prices set by the manufacturer, or they’re import models. Either way, I’ve had no issues at all with anything. THAT seems like a really steep discount, though, good find!
Keeley's stuff is always great. Robert seems like a genuinely good guy, too, which is always nice. Are those the stock pickups on your LP Studio? Thanks. Excellent stuff as always.
I shouldn’t let it affect me, but yeah, seeing how the pedal builder interacts and engages does mean a lot to me. Robert has long been a helpful figure, and it helps. I believe they’re stock pickups, but I’ve got a slighter hotter replacement set I just need to get around to swapping in soon. Thanks for watching and for your feedback again!!
Isn’t it weird how sometimes a piece of gear has to be in the right place at the right time? I tried out the EPH-3 years ago and wasn’t impressed and it proceeded to live in a box for several years until the day I recorded that track. It definitely just got the job done right, and like you said, didn’t get in the way at all. I’ll add it to the list, delay videos are fun to do :)
@@StompboxBreakdown @Stompbox Breakdown it's kind of why I haven't committed to building my first pedalboard, because my taste is everchanging... most days i'll really vibe with an analog delay and other days I'll want something cleaner. my only gripe with the eph3 is that it doesn't go into feedback, and if I'd known that I probably wouldn't have bought it anyway, but I certainly dig its warmness and how it sits behind your playing. and that flutter! Also keep at this youtube thing, you're a natural presenter and I thoroughly enjoy these.
Ugh could you try any harder to copy JHS videos? Even down to the childish and stupid humor. Paint your shelves white, make your thumbnails crazy pastels, and be done with it.
That first jam was a delight. Like Lou Reed meets Vince Guaraldi. The sound of a smooth, clean chorus always makes me want to play guitar. 🙂🎸
Demonstrating is worth a million words.
Beautiful opening music - love it
Thank you!! One of my favorites.
Gorgeous
Great review! Thank you!!
Thank you so much

I had one of those, wish I kept it. It got some really great sounds. Not quite tremolo, not quite chorus… just some really good movement. Enjoy it!!

Great playing in the last song too. I had written the previous comment before watching all the video 😟

@@StompboxBreakdown man, your palying best shows how the pedal fits, and it's beautiful!

Great review man. Very thorough and good editing/playing/production value!

Really? Sounds like yet another tab I'll always have open for browsing pedals.
love chorus...
Nice Hendrix Strat! I mean his guitars after Monterey up to Royal albert. Great video.

Ha that’s almost exactly how I set my eph3! Such a lush delay but somehow it’s never in the way. Maybe a video on it is due? :)
