I found this video because I literally just bought one. I was looking into the new WARM audio CE-1 copy, then realized I only really wanted the preamp since I rarely use chorus and that thing takes up a lot of real estate. Excited for it to arrive!

First of all, I have to say that there is a real meaning to follow you with your sincerity and independence. Yes, I know it is astronomic expensive, but what do you think of the Chase Bliss Audio Wombtone MKII as a phaser?

I still have my Fender Stage 100 DSP and my Blues Driver. Great amp and great pedal.

Of all the reviews I've seen, this once-upon-a-time band nerd truly appreciates you taking the time to break down quarter/eight notes with an audible example in the video. Sure a lot of us here will understand what it means, but it's the effort to explain that goes the extra mile. Cheers.

I use a slightly dirty amp and fuzz pedals turned way down to get a fat overdrive tone. I dont like any midrange bump if I can help it. I'd rather have more volume.

Thanks for the demo; this is a rather interesting one that I missed until now. What a weird reverb, especially dig the modulation@11:40 If it still sounds good when LOUD it could be a nice shoe-gaze machine :) The multi-tap 'pattern' @0:50 is very mix-friendly. It has a deliciously DMM kind of 'poke' but is even MORE high-passed and clear. Exactly what a DDL does best, imho - and rather cheeky that the 'Dark Sun's standout algo is doing "bright" DDL. I think 'Blend' is another name for Diffusion (variable-time fade-in of the repeat transients causing successive repeats to merge into each other).

Ooof! This and the Slow Gear remind me that not everything Boss did was so great; MZ-2 may be exhibit A of how ~not~ to drive pedal lol

I bought this years ago thinking it would give me a blues tone. Well it does say Blues Driver on it. But I found it sounds more like a fuzz instead.

What are you using to power it I have the ACA version and I don’t know what to do?

I have had this pedal for 5 years now and I love it. It's so diverse, and I really have not dove into the 2nd mode to unleash all that's there. The Spring is very very good and the main reason I bought it. Great demo, keep up the awesome work !

I have a Blackstar Artist 15 amp, which has an old school clean that has no preamp and goes straight to the power amp. This channel is ok as a clean, but doesn’t do well with pedals. Think I could use a spark mini boost and a boss 7 band eq as a “preamp” before the clean. This boss seems interesting. Nice rack pieces! All the units I lusted after in the 90s

The big box metal muff is terrible I have one thats missing its bottom i made a cardboard one for it that thing isn't worth repairing properly

Don't feel bad about having so many phasers i used to have that many until I sold off the ones that were redundant and theres still a few i want to get like a Ibanez phase modulater and maybe an old blood dweller and I forgot the brand name but it's called a phase computer and has like 32 stages

I think I'm gonna pull the trigger and get a digital space d or c or whatever it's called I found one from Japan for way less than a digital dimension in USA I just hope it doesn't take too long it says a week on eBay and I'm not sure how much extra it might cost but I'll probably be the only person other than Josh Scott that has one in the USA lol I'm trying to get the last few boss pedals I really want off my list

Your guitar is plugged into the pedal but what else are we listening to ???? A guitar amp with a mic? Direct with some sort of digital modeler ??? In my opinion demos are kind of useless unless viewers know what they are actually listening to.

I did a review of this unit on my channel too. I really liked it! Not as flexible as my favorite pedal, the Jackson audio golden boy but the different modes on the Waza pedal helps cater to various different amps.

Love my Waza Booster! My only literally always-on pedal, whether with my tube amps or my Sunn it just works phenomenally.

Finally. Someone who understands. I got this one the week it was released. It's magnificent... if you understand its purpose. I'm guessing a lot of players get boxed into the mindset of using it like and overdrive. It's not an OD! That gain control behaves notably different than a traditional dirt pedal. This thing has all the signs of people figuring it out long after its discontinued.

I L💜VE this pedal. I’d agree also that it’s their best dirt pedal since the BD-2. I use mine into a solid state amp and it just lifts it into a wonderful place. Stacks well with other drives and is great when a fuzz either needs more volume or fullness. Boss nailed it with this pedal.

Haven’t tried this one, but the Waza stuff in general is phenomenal. Truly industry leading, but Boss doesn’t really hype their stuff anywhere near as much as many of the trendy boutique brands. Anyways, Waza is great. I love the FZ-1w, that quickly became an all time favorite fuzz. HM-2w and DM-2w are super cool too, and the BD-2w really is one of their very best drives, though the OD-3 always has the top spot in my heart.

I got this right when it came out, and it's SO cool. It will make literally anything sound better. Even piezo pickups!

Great review. I’m surprised this pedal hasn’t blown up. It’s easily my top 3 pedals. It’s a great “always on” pedal with fantastic range to get whatever dirt sound you need IMO.

It's a handsome pedal and most of the pros seem to use overdrive pedals with the gain virtually off or minimal, then driving the sound from the volume of the pedal hitting the tubes or ss whatever it is. Because of that I like having more fine control of a low gain sound - it offers a nice grit without taking over the empire

I've heard that stickers are the key to good tone.

Owned the Dunlop Preamp for a while. Pro tip it can reduce your overall volume while colouring. Just got the xotic ep booster last week. Boy is it loud. On 0 it’s already +3db. I use it at the very end as an overall volume knob.

I wonder if boost pedals will be the ‘victims’ of the current pedal boom because the era we are in now is amp sims, direct recording, direct to PAs etc

I have the Line Selector pedal & that works as a boost too.

So, since I mostly use small power amps, maybe I should get one.... I guess I'm using a Nobles ODR mini as a pre-amp. Always on. Makes Russian Big Muff sound like a monster.

Okay, this convinced me I must try to find a way to use my Fulltone 2B. Looks like a second pedal board build incoming.....
