It'll probably be merc for me to begin with, because I love crossbows, but they do seem a little slow so it's going to depend on how easily I can scale firing speed. Worth pointing out that your first character isn't likely to get very far (just due to the passive tree & how much there is to learn), so no need to stress over which class to pick. Try one, then hit a wall, then try another and transfer over the support gems & stuff that your first one picked up to give the second character an early boost.
I think mercenary looks the best for me, but witch is not far behind because I love necromancers. Definitely going mercenary first, it just looks very fun/unique
If you want a game that really allows you to build a specific way you want to play, GrimDawn has a shit ton of classes and you can choose two, allowing you to spec separately into them and becoming something completely different or you can fully spec into one, and its awesome
@@EonsEternity PoE also allows this, except with every single class in the game. The passive skilll tree is fully open; all you have to do is find a way to get to the nodes you want. Also Grim Dawn has quite a repetitive endgame by comparison. It's a good game to play whilst waiting for this one to come out of Early Access though.
@nightcatarts i also just realized i was playing POE not POE2 and apparently didnt buy it already? Bro i was so confused and was seeing people talk about classes i didnt even see on the game lol, but from what i could see the crystals are abilities rather than getting them from level ups and idk how i feel about that quite yet personally, it might just be because i havent gotten used to it yet though
@@EonsEternity Ahh yes that would be confusing heh. The gems are your skills and support gems will augment any gems they're linked to (conditionally), yes. It's a great system once you get your head around it because it means you can use any ability you want, provided you can afford the requirements in attributes (str/dex/int) or can lower those somehow. This is why 6-link items are so rare and costly, because having that one extra support gem socket can make a huge difference.
I don't actually know, but it's probably theoretically limited (like 32768 or something). Tabs from inaccessible characters become remove-only ones too when a character disappears for some reason, so they can build up to a lot. You can also have it auto-sort items into the right tabs by using affinities on the Premium ones, so Ctrl-clicking items from your inventory will put them into the tab you've assigned.
1. Ranger 2. Monk 3. Witch 4. Mercenary 5. Sorc 6. Warrior As of my time playing, this is my ratings. Sorc got wrecked from Nerfs. She was top dog. Stormweaver is good but not great and requires specific gear. Ranger is broken lightning arrow/magnetic salvo, and so on is broken atm. Ice strike monk is crazy, nearly 100% freeze uptime with absolutely incredible damage and speed. Feels like og flicker strike. Witch is, of course, minion builds extremely tanky when converting to fire damage taken and over capping res. Mercenary was also a lot higher before they nerfed the grenades. Don't get me wrong, it's still very good, but it does not come near Monk or Ranger dps. Warrior has the negative armor going on, which is going to be patched. Until that is fixed, it really is a broken class, but once fixed, the warrior is just not that great from my understanding atm.
10 hours in with the Monk and I'm stuck at level 8, incapable of clearing the cemetary Falling Thunder is a elusive dream to me I'm either bad at this beyond belief, or there's something I don't get In any case I tthink I'll move on to other games...
Because you don't read skill description, most skills work good in synergy with other things. Monk is one of the easiest classes to play with . If you stuck on lvl 8 you didn't pick ur skulls right and you didn't add supports gems. Or you use low mod shit wep..
Take your time and look at some guides for the monk. Maybe buy or upgrade your gear. I got some really good drops for the monk and it made a big difference. I basically ice crystal for defense because it distacts enemies and i use the ice wave thing to explode it and i finish off the frozen enemies. I cull low lifes with palm strike and then use the lighting staff slam move to one shot mobs. Lastly the bell destroys most things before it goes away so i save it for rares and bosses.
@cedric1808 hopefully you enjoy it more with some more time. If not just keep an eye on the updates to the game because it will be a lot of them during early access.
The issue with moving on to other games after facing a hurdle is that developers will then take those hurdles out the game, which is why so many games seem so easy these days. I completely respect your decision, but I massively encourage you to, if you have at any point so far, enjoyed the gameplay...stick at it. When you overcome your first major challenge, then you'll go into the next one with a whole new perspective. The reward for finishing something easily is non-existent, but the reward for progressing with something more challenging isn't just a sense of accomplishment, it's proof that in that period of time, you've improved massively, or you wouldn't have overcome what you were originally finding difficult
@@sleepytime999998 Nah PoE 1 was built off the gameplay of Diablo 2, & PoE 2 is built off PoE 1. Diablo's gone so mindless & pared down now that it doesn't even warrant the comparison.
What are monks taking as a 2nd weapon set?

@nightcatarts ah so are support gems the ones like chance to poison?
IS there a limit to how many tabs you can have? I bought the stash tab bundle and then bought the premium bundle once I realized I can color code,

Came here for this comment 😂
AI is capitalism at its finest
How do you know my name!? Lol 😂
Im just hoping the game runs better on ps5 on release.
This looks more like diablo then diablo
Play it at 1.0 and say that again
Useless
So... it's a trash game that's all about whales?
I do not want that to be the case.
Huh? Not in any way, no. The entire game is free (only the early access costs money), & there's no pay to win whatsoever.
do you know anything about anything?
You're right. Path of Exile was the response to Diablo 3 and, I just assumed the sequel would be as disgusting as Immortal.
That's on me.
