Very clear and helpful for new players. Next vid I'd suggest getting into buffs and debuffs in depth. If nothing else, mention that you can modify/augment your current (best) flask. 😊
This is the most in-depth guide I've seen of this nature. Just ignore the hate comments bro, there's a lot more people who need this than they realize. I did learn a couple things in fact. Like I didn't know about the dual skill tree.
Where those hate comments at g? I see nothing but thankfulness and respect personally. Great video for anyone looking for a good first step or some general explanations. 🎉
I'm interested because I've never played one of these types of games and am considering buying PoE2 Early Access. I'm hearing a lot of good things, but most of it comes from people who already enjoy this genre and have an understanding of the game. This video gave me more understanding of the game and has made me more interested.
I'm happy to see one of my absolute favorite RUclipsrs making a guide for this game! Your D2 raid guides are legendary sir.. glad you're enjoying this game
Great video friend, great guide, loved it. Important note for new players: if you press Alt you can lookup any of the underlined words anywhere in the game, and you can lookup all the words on the definitions that pop up as well. Alt is a super easy "tell me more" button. As someone who first tried POE this week it's crucial. Easy to use single button for knowing as much as you want about the mechanical details, interactions, etc, as much as you want.
Enjoyed this a lot. As a first time player this guide served as a great "I'm actually playing this game correctly" confirmation. When I play games that are this indepth, I usually find myself wondering if I'm missing something or not playing it correctly. Thankfully, I was doing everything you cover in this video. Yippee! 😂
Couple PoE content creators to check out if you end up enjoying the game! Raxxanterax & Darth Microtransactions - Popular ARPG streamers that give great game/community updates and tends to focus on the average player experience. Alkaizer - Melee specialist. Not the most helpful streamer in the world but an amazing player. GhazzyTV - Minion specialist, tons of helpful info and guides. Jungroan - Great player with a heavy endgame focus. SirGog - Detailed patch notes & meta analysis. Grimro - Great player that used to have a very heavy focus on the in game economy, not as much in PoE2 (yet). Engineering Eternity - This one’s a bit unique. He has some very old but EXTREMELY thorough guides on PoE1 that can really help you understand the complex mechanics of these games. His videos really helped me get into PoE1 many many years ago. There’s plenty more but that’s what I got off top
Just want to say thx for explaining skills, I saw 2 other videos that did not explain it as good as you did. I really needed help with this and I get it now. Much appreciated best of luck to you.
I've seen a lot and this was by far the BEST staree guide I've seen. You explained a lot that others simply assume people will know. Had no idea that there was a spirit meter and energy shield meter. Like i sae them but had no idea what they were. I've been playing for hours and have progressed to level 28 not knowing much of the basic mechanics you explained. Appreciate it
This is a great intro video. I jave actually sent it to friends that have not played the previous version of the game to get them somewhat started. My only addition would be to always bear in mind that the words used in PoE2 matter. For example: "Increased" is different than "more" or "extra". The effectiveness of gear, skills and passives can vary drastically based on the use of one term over another.
Fantastic job! It didn’t really teach me anything because I have consumed a good bit of content on this, but, had I not, this is a great spoiler-free beginner video!
Love the vods. Remember Charms, potions, anything white can become magic. So upgrade your charms and potions as needed. Also at way points hit Y on controller and you go straight to town without having to find it
I love that they took the most convoluted rpg system in the dungeon crawler sphere and made it even deeper, while cleaning up some of the pain points. Very nice updates for the new game.
instances reset after 8-15 minutes, so make sure you don't stay in town for too long or your portal will disappear, and you'll have to re-explore the map.
Fun seeing a destiny youtuber i have been following for years cover my other hyperfixation of a game, played poe 1 since 2017 and have been hooked on it.
loved plating the first one when it came out years ago and have been keen as a can of beans when they mentioned they where working on 2, been loving every minute of it
Awesome video! It’s my first time playing POE and this was in depth, thorough and entertaining. I’m playing on console so the only thing I’m still trying to figure out is the different conditions for boss life bars (green vs red, bluish bracket on top and bottom that seem to be on a timer?). But this video definitely cemented the info I gathered while hovering over the info in game
I understand your new to Path as a whole and I love the investment you've clearly done to actually know what your talking about welcome and enjoy the game!!
I haven't played poe2 but based on your vid guide you can respect ascedancy points with gold too :). as a poe1 enjoyer u got a great guide for newbies, deserve a sub. :)
Ah a fellow cold snap enjoyer. I picked chronomancer though because you know what’s cooler than freezing enemies? Freezing them, and then freezing them again but 5 seconds ago. Time magic is fun. Probably not the most effective build but I figured going pure flavor for my first run would be the most fun, I can make real builds later :)
I've been watching your videos for a long time. When looking at a new game, I search your name.😅 I played PoE one but it's been awhile so this video was super helpful
Good stuff as always man. Long time Destiny player and I'm loving POE2. Mercenary. I'm right at the Ascendency trial at level 22 just like you mentioned. Not sure where to go now to level up but I'm sure I'll figure it out.
One thing I think is worth mentioning from what I know, support gems need to be unique for any equipped skill. So if I have support gem X on Skill A, I Can't have a second support gem X on Skill B
One thing you missed that will help for those that decide to stick with the game is the ingame shop to upgrade stash tabs and purchase specified stash tabs for Currency, Gems, Uniques etc.
I would add where to get the ascendency artifacts too. Like where they drop. I've farmed all of act two several times and haver yet to find another one since failing three times.
I assigned my town portal to “t” in control options. It is unassigned by default. You can also run by any waypoint to refill your health/mana instead of going to town.
I have never played one of these kinds of games. I'm thinking about trying PoE2. I never played a survival game until Valheim and I loved it, so I'm hoping this will be the same with PoE2.
Firstly, it is ridiculous how good you are at guides from d2 to any game, great guide great pacing, great showing what your doing as always. I'm def interested in the ole toe dip unless they to do the idiotic Diablo thing of your character is useless in the new season thing, i have zero interest in wasting my time leveling up a character that's useless weeks or months later in the newest content when coming back
Easiest straight off the bat = Mercenary. Best power fantasy = latest Stormweaver. Most fun if you don’t mind the horrendous RNG to get a solid endgame build = Witch Minion/Infernalist. This game is not easy - and respecs are really expensive - at the high end it’s 1400 gold per node. Crafting is non-existent and currencies are hard to come by. Some bosses are just awful in terms of game design (end of Act 2 for example). BUT find a good build, take your time and you’ll have a blast. Not sure how this game will retain its current population beyond the short-term though.
REFUND AND GOLD. You didn’t mentioned a very key and rather important issue at this time: refunding is very expensive and gets prohibitively expensive as you get through act 2 and 3. So - think twice about your passives as refunding large amount will leave you broke and gold is not an easy resource in this game.
Do your stats from your second weapon apply when it is not equipped? For example, if your second weapon has an increase to cast speed, are you only getting that increase when said weapon is the main?
No, because their related nodes are already there. For example, on the right side of the tree there are nodes for Spears, Daggers and Traps even though Daggers are not in the game and Traps are an unusable/unfinished item-type. The incoming classes also share starting-positions with some others, for example Monk and Shadow start in the exact same place, Huntress and Ranger start in the same place, etc.
I got some gems that the game says I can apply to gem slots on the passive skill tree, I can't find how to use them, maybe you could cover that in a future video?
You keep all the gold the first character earned and the other characters get access to your Stash. Leveling a second character is often two or three times as fast as leveling your first because you can give / buy them useful things much earlier.
Love the fact that you are doing PoE now! just one thing - never say Path 2 ever again. No one calls it that, it's ether PoE or Path of Exile, never Path. And do look into getting stash tabs!
Is the footage just tame because of being low level or is PoE2 a bit more tame with enemy amount? For context, I never played D1 or D2, played D3 but dropped it before final act. I got a mix of being bored and intimidated by the game essentially turning into a bullet hell shooter/space invaders with unlocked Y axis movement. What I've seen so far looks pretty interesting, should I give it a go (or PoE1 for that matter)?

Any possible time-frame for the full release?
It will be a least 6 months from now
@adrianfr05 it'll be late 2025 as of right now according to their website

There’s hate comments?! How? Crazy. This is super informative, not sure what anyone can hate😂
I'm interested because I've never played one of these types of games and am considering buying PoE2 Early Access. I'm hearing a lot of good things, but most of it comes from people who already enjoy this genre and have an understanding of the game.
This video gave me more understanding of the game and has made me more interested.
@FinalFantasyXDen-br4to its really good. I have 3500 hours in POE 1, and this is VERY different than that. Thsi is what diablo 4 SHOULD HAVE been
Chill
Vendors refresh their inventory on level up, so when you level go back to town and see if they got some juicy stuff to buy.
Yes, yes, and yes!!! It's sooooo important to stay powerful throughout the game!
I'm happy to see one of my absolute favorite RUclipsrs making a guide for this game! Your D2 raid guides are legendary sir.. glad you're enjoying this game

This is so much deeper and more detailed than D4, and there's tons of work to do.
Enjoyed this a lot. As a first time player this guide served as a great "I'm actually playing this game correctly" confirmation.
When I play games that are this indepth, I usually find myself wondering if I'm missing something or not playing it correctly. Thankfully, I was doing everything you cover in this video. Yippee! 😂
I like turn-based and open world rpg games, but I've never played one like this. I'm considering getting it and this video helped.

Great video man! I'm diving into the game right now and wanted a quick rundown of everything before I start, you did the trick!
Fantastic job! It didn’t really teach me anything because I have consumed a good bit of content on this, but, had I not, this is a great spoiler-free beginner video!
Such an amazing getting started guide for new players. This is what you need to be able to play. Thanks man!
Love the vods. Remember Charms, potions, anything white can become magic. So upgrade your charms and potions as needed. Also at way points hit Y on controller and you go straight to town without having to find it

Thank you for making this video! First time playing path and some of the stuff I haven't gotten a 100% grasp of yet
This is so well-structured and detailed - thanks a lot!
BEST BEGINNER Guide out. Its really for BEGINNERS, thank you very much!!!
Thank you for this guide GOOD WORK I'm semi new to poe2 and this helped alot
Love the guide. Now I feel less overwhelmed about the game and will for sure come back if I need to refresh what some stuff is for. Thank you.
instances reset after 8-15 minutes, so make sure you don't stay in town for too long or your portal will disappear, and you'll have to re-explore the map.
Most clear and understandable guide on the internet! Amazing work, thank you!
Haven't played Destiny in a few years. Feels good to watch another Fallout video 🥹 The best in the biz!
Glad to see you're making content for this game.
Fun seeing a destiny youtuber i have been following for years cover my other hyperfixation of a game, played poe 1 since 2017 and have been hooked on it.
extremely helpful video! this is exactly what i was looking for! thanks a lot
Brilliant video. I’m not a beginner to PoE but I enjoyed the presentation of it a lot. Top notch streamer and content creator.
loved plating the first one when it came out years ago and have been keen as a can of beans when they mentioned they where working on 2, been loving every minute of it
The best clear & simple guide I have seen so far. Well done 👍

First time I'm going to try an A-RPG. Loved the Guide, thanks bro!
great guide! first one i've seen that explained things well and that didn't lose my focus!
He literally explained classes, skills, and support gems entirely wrong.
Amazing guide for new players, best one so far
GREAT video.. really appreciate the info given. I needed it :D
I wish the YT algorithm blesses you with 1m subs, thank you for what you're doing!
Thanks, been playing for a week now, but some things i just hadn't figured out.
Hey i found if you go to the hooded one and refund passives you can also change your accension points but it cost way more. Hope that helps
I understand your new to Path as a whole and I love the investment you've clearly done to actually know what your talking about welcome and enjoy the game!!
You're
Thank you so much! This guide was exactly what i needed as a new player.

Great guide
best POE2 Guide in this galaxy!
Got this downloading right now, Ive never been a fan of games like diablo or dark souls ect. But this looks really good.
I've been watching your videos for a long time. When looking at a new game, I search your name.😅
I played PoE one but it's been awhile so this video was super helpful
Fallout my dude I can’t wait til your builds come out and give some of these main ARPG guys a run for their money 😁
I'm loving this game . Hope you make some build vids
Good stuff as always man. Long time Destiny player and I'm loving POE2. Mercenary.

I mean i know you can go to the shrine and get another one from the NPC there. Buy you can alsao get rando drops as well/
Was waiting for this! Ofcourse our OG Destiny MVP makes a banging starter vid for PoE2. Thanks!
That's some good ass lookin cake. Good vid, didn't know about holding control down to get more slots for skills n stuff.
Good stuff, thanks
Awesome video man! Loving the game coming from Destiny. Actually so very addicting! Thanks for the intel good sir! Mad love
Thank you for the guide
I assigned my town portal to “t” in control options. It is unassigned by default. You can also run by any waypoint to refill your health/mana instead of going to town.
Well done Fallout
THANK YOU
best POE2 Video!👍👍👍
Well done

Doin the big brain work so us bums don’t have to!
I have yet to get the option to assign skill points to separate weapons in the passive skill tree. Not sure why.
Even i didnt get it. Need proper explanation.i m merc have 4 4 skill poimts i see but not able to assign
Console/controller or M&K?
On controller hold x/a to assign to specific set
Been waiting on this lol. Game seems....big
Level seven monk, nfi what I'm going. Thanks fallout.
Good vid helpful
Stash tabs are on sale if you dont have them yet
Easiest straight off the bat = Mercenary.

Im a sorceress with minions now. I love it
I hope the huntress will be similar to those mobs on the dreadnaught
REFUND AND GOLD.

I got a question concerning debuffs. Does chill inflict the hindered debuff or are they entirely different things?
RIP to the Cold Sorceress build.
Do your stats from your second weapon apply when it is not equipped? For example, if your second weapon has an increase to cast speed, are you only getting that increase when said weapon is the main?
Only when the weapon is in your hand, such as when a skill you press comes from that weapon or when you've swapped to it manually.
@ thank you!
Will the skill tree… skill astromap? double in size when the other 6 classes are added in?
No, because their related nodes are already there. For example, on the right side of the tree there are nodes for Spears, Daggers and Traps even though Daggers are not in the game and Traps are an unusable/unfinished item-type. The incoming classes also share starting-positions with some others, for example Monk and Shadow start in the exact same place, Huntress and Ranger start in the same place, etc.
when a unique drops on the floor and you die before you get to it, it literally poofs so be careful guys, kill and grab ur item safely
I got some gems that the game says I can apply to gem slots on the passive skill tree, I can't find how to use them, maybe you could cover that in a future video?
@1:29 STRENGHT
I’ve had 3 days off from work. My eyes are bloodshot. Lol. 😊
so if I start a new class I have to restart the full game from beginning?
You keep all the gold the first character earned and the other characters get access to your Stash. Leveling a second character is often two or three times as fast as leveling your first because you can give / buy them useful things much earlier.
didnt even know I could have 2 staffs and all the other stuff that comes with that.
Cake or pie ascendancy? Which would ya’ll choose?
Nice
Love the fact that you are doing PoE now! just one thing - never say Path 2 ever again. No one calls it that, it's ether PoE or Path of Exile, never Path.

Path 2

What I've seen so far looks pretty interesting, should I give it a go (or PoE1 for that matter)?
PoE2's general pacing and add-density is a fair bit slower/smaller, yeah. Things are more individually-threatening, for most of the game.
I interacted with the video
If only we had warcrys tremors/shock waves for titans in destiny 2…
