The Clock Camera is not of good quality and built. It is unreliable for monitoring. It's battery charging can't cope up with the utilization of the Clock Camera. It's IR capability is not automatically triggered when there is a change in area conditions. It's recording is rather pixelated even in 1080p mode. Don't waste your money on buying this type of Clock Camera.
The problem with most of these camera-clocks is that the IR night vision does not turn on/off by itself according to the current lighting conditions. I have such a camera and the best I can do is schedule the night vision between 7:00pm and 7:00am. This works most of the time, but on a rainy day the image is too dark for the day vision schedule. Moreover the time range needs to be adjusted as the days of the seasons get shorter/longer. It is not clear whether the camera-clock you recommend, Lin, can automatically adjust the day/night vision based on the current lighting conditions. If the spec does not mention it, I doubt it can. I have only found one camera-clock that claims to adjust for day/night vision automatically, but I do not have one to confirm this.
Can you help.... when recording I can’t seem to record audio and not sure why. How do I get this clock to record audio? When I go into the live video feed I can click the wee microphone and speaker which have a red line through them and I can hear what’s being said in real time but it doesn’t continually record audio even though I’ve got the settings to record audio. Any advice? I’ve tried to reboot the device but that hasn’t worked x
Motion detection not working. 64K SD card installed. MD alarm set on in software to max sensitivity. Still not working. No motion events are being triggered. Any ideas ?
No, but you need wifi to configure the camera and access it with your phone. If you set up the camera to record and bring down wifi, the recording will continue and store the video on the SD card. However, you must set up recording through the scheduler not from the "record" button on the app on your phone because the record button records the video to your phone. The scheduler records to the SD card.

It would be nice to actually see a full screen shot of the video for night vision and day light, the iphone is not really the best, if you can post it on big screen transferring the files into your PC for video and pictures, and if you can specify what's the maximum time it can record it would be great. People do not like recording where the picture comes out grainy , blurry,, pixalated, etc. And a reason why I think that''s the second most important part to mention in regards to a camera. 1) If it is PC compatible (you covered that), if it is iphone compatible (you did cover this well) 2) Quality of image and example ( you half covered that, not the best in depth information there, passable but not entirely helpful) 3) Recording time (where to get the memory cards, and what the max recording time, I may have missed it) Thanks, I hope you can include that in any of your future reviews. People always miss something. And that something they miss is usually important.
All of the camera's functionality is accessible from an iphone, ipad or Android phone. The PC app (IPCam) is not as comprehensive. It is best suited to watch live video. It cannot access the camera's SD card whereas the the smart phone app can. There are several apps that can be run from your smart phone. They are virtually identical because they are all written by the same programmer (Gang Zhang). Some of these include, iminicam, HDminicam, P2PLiveCam, BvCam and MuCam. I use MuCam because I find that it works for different model cameras that are documented to run from the other apps I listed. Micro SD cards can be purchased ($5-$50) anywhere computer peripherals are sold Some camera models can take a 32gb micro SD card while others can take 64gb. The length of continuous recording depends on the capacity of the SD card, the chosen resolution, and whether the recording is in color or in IR mode. If I remember correctly, you can get a few days of continuous recording on a 8gb SD. But you probably will not chose continuous recording since the camera can be configured to record whenever it detects motion. Don't forget, it is very cumbersome and boring to search for relevant information when you choose continuous recording. Motion detection is often the best option, but the camera may sometimes be a couple of seconds too slow to start recording after it detects motion. The recording time after motion is detected can be set between 1 and 60 minutes. The default is 3 minutes.

hello, I'm away from home, I left the device and the camera turned on and everything was fine until after 3 days , the program informs me that the device is offline and shows on the display 88: 88, is it possible to restore the connection from a distance, I'm not at home, or simply the device broke? Cheers
I am surprised you managed to get any connectivity since you left home. No, I doubt the device is broken. You just need to get somebody to reboot it; turn it off and on. It is very common for it to go down especially after you reboot your modem/router.
Thanks for the review. Apparently, the quality and usability of this unit depends on where you buy the unit from. Was mine defective right out of the box ? The night vision does not work at all, and in fact, you can only get a grainy picture in the brightest of light. 1080? no way. The sound is inaudible and garbled. Unusable. It has about a 40 degree line of vision, which means you really won't capture movement, which is a mute point since the camera does not record unless you are asking it to while you are watching it. The alarms work, but no recording remotely even with an sd card. Another thing no one has mentioned is that it can not be set to standard Eastern time. A dead giveaway that it is more than just an alarm clock is the fact that it can only display in military time, which most people in the US do not use.The company does not respond when contacted.
Judging from your testimony, your camera may be defective. However do hear me out. (I will assume you are using the Android version of the app which is slightly different than the Apple version.) The quality of live video, depends on the strength of your wifi signal. However, the quality of the wifi signal should not affect the quality of what is actually recorded on the SD card. So you need to view the video from the SD card. There are two types of recorded video: a) "Live Video" that is recorded when you manually start recording. b) "Alarm Video" that is automatically recorded upon motion detection. Only "Alarm Video" is stored on the SD card. "Live Video" is stored on your smart phone where you initiated the recording from. Since there are two types of recorded video, there are two places within the app where the resolution can be set for each type. So set the resolution to 1080p for "Alarm Video" by going into "Advance Config > SDCard Record Config". This will not affect the resolution of "Live Video". Set "LIve Video" resolution, from the top of the "Live Video" screen. Again, this will not affect the resolution of the "Alarm Video" recordings. Although it is far from obvious, the "Alarm Video" recordings (i.e those triggered from motion detection) are accessed from the third icon (i.e. the movie camera icon labeled as "Record") on the bottom of the main screen. From the next screen, you must choose from the pull-down menu "RemoteSDCard" (the default is "Local" which contains only "Live Video" recordings that you initiated manually from your smart phone). Finally, as I mentioned in a previous post, the app does allow you to display a 12 hour clock rather than 24 hour military time. From "Advance Config", go to "TIme Settings." Then under "Time Mode", select one of the other two date formats (Day/Month/Year or Month/Day/Year). These formats display a 12 hour clock. The default format of Year/Month/Day displays a 24 hour clock.
yep, tried it all. The camera is a dud! No response to my inquiries either from them. Looked like they sent me one that had already been returned to them as faulty because it was dirty, battery dies after an hour, does not work without very bright light, and has about a five foot width of view. Total dud.
Hello, I have this camera. I wonder if you can tell me the type of battery. And also the type of cable for this watch. Thank you very much, best regards, Peter.
Is it possible to make a spy cam that is destructible at distance in order to make it disappear after the job done to make sure that it will never be discovered ?
You should always be plugged into a power source. The battery is intended to keep the camera running for a few hours during a power failure -- most of which are shorter than the battery life.
@@xianjison It should not overcharge if you keep it plugged in. But like any rechargeable device, I assume the battery will gradually not hold a charge as well as when it is new.
I understand that you can connect the camera to a home Wi-Fi router, making the camera accessible through the Internet. I got a couple of questions about this: 1. How does the Android app know the IP address of the camera to connect to? My guess is that the camera reports its IP address and UID to some vendor web service, so that the Android app can ask the vendor web service for camera's IP address known only the UID. Is there an option to disable this reporting and enter the IP address manually? I don't want the camera phoning home to the vendor due to privacy concerns. 2. Is the video stream encrypted in any way? If it's not, anyone on the same Wi-Fi network would be able to see the video feed by simply intercepting the Wi-Fi transmission. This might be a concern if you want to place the camera on a public Wi-Fi network, for example in a hotel to make sure hotel staff doesn't mess with your belongings, connecting the camera to hotel's Wi-Fi. 3. If it is encrypted, is it encrypted with a randomly generated, per-device unique key or a global hard-coded key that is reused on all of the cameras? 4. Is there any way to analyze, modify and and re-flash camera's firmware to make sure there are no backdoors? Is the firmware open source? If I put a camera in my home, I want to make sure that no one would be able to spy on me with some hard-coded super password or anything like that. I'm a professional software developer, so I will have no issues understanding the code (or even disassembling the binary).

this looks exactly like the cameras I bought from Walmart online. I see at about 3:30 that you opened in a split second with your fingernail, but I had a LOT of trouble opening mine. I had to try with a screwdriver, and felt like I was going to break the case, so I returned them. I like the thoroughness of your reviews, but am confused because you provide an Amazon link for the camera and at the end of the video you said it picks up sound (just not 2-way). Yet, in another video, you said that Amazon doesn't allow cameras that have sound.

Does it take an SD card or?
It should last a couple of hours; maybe up to 5 depending on how old the battery is. The battery is not intended for normal use. It serves as a backup for prolonged power failures.
Try any of the apps that are written by Zhang Gang. There are several; virtually identical. First try iMiniCam, P2pLiveCam, MUcam, and pro_iCam. There are others
The camera is unsupported since August/2019. So the app has been removed from the Google/Apple stores. There is nowhere else to get it for Apple, but you can still get it from here for Android. Try using MUCam: apkfab.com/developer/gang.zhang
As someone who does over night babysitting often, this is horrifying. This could easily be placed next to my guest bed night stand and record every time I change or bend down to tie my shoes. Gross!!!!
There are apps you can install on your phone that will detect the infrared lights that the camera emits for night vision. I am not sure what you can do to find such cameras during normal lighting conditions. These cameras can be disguised as just about anything: a light bulb; a pen; a smoke detector; an electrical outlet to name a few. The weakness of these is that they cannot run very long on battery power. So they would have to be conspicuously plugged into an electrical outlet.
You can check easily if there are cameras in your room. You are right it's easy so it's good to stay up to date about what these things look like. If you are concerned unplug anything that's not yours and remove any batteries. They don't work without power
It is black and white because you have the camera's night vision turned on. You may have turned it on from the Live Video screen or you may have scheduled it to be turned on. Both cases seem unlikely, but that is all I can think of.
Hello, Can you please advise how to set the camera to continue recording even if I exit the smartphone app ? I need to put it on continious record for 2 hours independently of my phone. Now when I exit the app the recording stop. How to make it continue for a longer time?
The camera has two recording modes. Apparently, you are using the mode that is turned on from the "Live Video" screen and stores the video on your phone. Once you exit the screen, the recording stops. This mode is intended to capture things spontaneously at your discretion. The other mode of recording stores the video on the SD card in the camera -- not on the storage of your phone. It allows you to record upon motion detection or on a given schedule such as all-day or during certain hours. This is the feature you are looking for. To access it, select "Advance Config" (or "Device Settings" on Apple). From there select "SDCard Config" to configure the recording schedule. Then later, select "Alarm Config" for additional options.
No, don't buy it!. The camera is no longer supported and the app has been removed from the Apple/Google stores. Even if you obtain the app, you will be unable to make a remote connection to the camera.
The camera's wifi appears when the camera is reset or when first taken out of the box. Once you connect the camera to your wifi network, its wifi signal disappears from the list.
The camera records onto its micro SD card. However, when you manually start recording from the "Live Video" screen of your phone, the recording will be stored on the phone, not the SD card.
@@maiktayson9152 There are many brands of cameras that offer remote access from your phone. The cameras I ended up buying are the Yi cameras because they also have an app for the PC to view live and recorded video. The setup controls however are only on the phone app. All the cameras accept a micro SD card and offer an optional cloud subscription for storage (I did not buy the subscription). None of the cameras are spy cameras disguised as a clock.
All apps written by Gang Zhang that are compatible with the camera have been removed from the Apple/Google stores. This suggests that the camera is no longer supported by anyone, though still being sold. You can still download the app from here: apkfab.com/developer/gang.zhang If you recently bought your camera, you should get yourself a refund while you can.
Yes, unmute the microphone and speaker from the bottom ribbon of the "Live Video" Screen. Then hold down the microphone icon to speak. The feature is supported if you hear yourself through the camera.
Yes, but not anymore since the app is unavailable on the Apple/Google stores. For Android you can still get the app elsewhere but you cannot establish a connection outside your wifi area. Don't buy!
Hi please can you help im struggeling to pick up the clock on my search browser on Hd mini cam it dont want to pick up with my phone it shows no devises??
The camera's wifi signal should appear on the list of wifi networks that your phone can see. The list I am referring to is not in the app, but rather found under "wifi" in your phone's settings. If your phone cannot see the camera's wifi signal, you should reset the camera by gently pressing the reset button with a pin in the back of the camera for about 7 seconds. Then refresh the list of wifi networks so that your phone can display the camera signal near the top of the list.

You are not supposed to connect to your camera's wifi signal from the phone app. The goal is to use the app to connect your camera to your HOME wifi. Once you do that, the camera will stop emitting its wifi signal. At that point you should also connect your phone to your home wifi. Now both your camera and your phone are connected to your home wifi network, thereby allowing the two devices to communicate with each other. Try it! "If you are wondering why the first step is to connect your phone to the camera's wifi (from your phone's settings), it is because you need this temporary "bridge" (connection) to let your phone access the camera from the app (since the two devices are not physically wired together). Without this bridge, the app on your phone cannot access the camera. But once the phone is connected to the camera, you can establish a permanent connection from your camera to your home wifi."

Do not push the reset button to hard or you may dislodge it from the circuit board. You should feel or hear a click when you press it correctly.
Dkyrtata so I read somewhere u can store recordings onto the app itself does that mean u do not need the Sd Card because if not I can just buy the cam and save recordings to my phone or do u think it is better to get the as card as well ?
@@JROKRIZZY, I did not notice your message until now. Get an SD card. They are not expensive. You do not want to fill up your phone's storage capacity with useless videos. The app is designed to prevent that because there are two modes of recording. When you press the record button from the "Live Video" screen, the footage gets stored directly on your phone. But the moment, you exit the screen the recording stops. That is NOT the intended use of the camera. That feature is only useful if you quickly want to start recording something on the fly. The typical use for the camera is to start recording upon motion detection or all day by setting up these conditions from the "Advance Config" menu (or "Device Settings" menu on Apple) of the app. When the recording conditions are configured from this menu, the camera will record the video on the SD card and send up to 3 sample snapshots of the video to your phone. Upon viewing these snapshots from your phone, you can find the corresponding video that is stored on the SD card and play it on your phone. There is also an option from the app to download a copy of the video from the SD card to your phone. Or you can physically remove the SD card from the camera and plug it into a PC. Without an SD card, you cannot do any of that, but I think you would still get the 3 sample snapshot photos even though there would be no corresponding video.
You control recording through the app which has various settings such as continuous recording or motion detection. This type of recording is stored on the camera's SD card which you can access from your smart phone through wifi or internet. You can also manually turn on recording by pressing the record button on the live video screen of the app. This type of recording sends the video directly to your smart phone. It is not saved on the camera's SD card. There is no record button on the camera itself.
Dkyrtata so you don’t necessarily have to buy the SD card if u want to save all recordings to the app itself? What do u recommend because it costs more if u get the SD card with it wats the SD card good for if I can save all my vids to the app
I do not have this particular camera, but I have two similar ones -- one with a button on the top and one without. If your camera has the button on the top, the time can only be set with the button. The app cannot alter the time displayed on the device. However, what you are probably not aware of is that the camera maintains two times -- the external time that you see on the face of the camera, and an internal time. The app sets the internal time which is embedded on the top left corner of the video. If this timestamp is not present in the video, you can turn it on by flipping on the "On Screen Display" switch from "Alarm Config" under "Advance Config" (or "Device Settings"). For cameras without the button on the top, the app will set both the internal and external time.
I have 5 cameras of 3 different models (none of which are of the one featured above). I bought them at different times during the past year. Like several other people have been claiming, I am confirming that none of my cameras can establish a remote connection anymore, since late August/2019. I sent a message to Zhang Gang, the programmer of the app. I provided him the details of the problem as well as my UID and password so he can test it for himself. I am hoping that he is affiliated with the people who maintain the servers that these cameras rely on. I will let you know what he says if he responds. Is there anybody who has a camera that can still establish a REMOTE connection (i.e outside the Wifi network that the camera is connected to)?
I have same problem. Camera not working from one month. This is answer "from the developers of this APP, their servers are currently being hacked and are currently being repaired. After the repair, they will return to normal."
@@ufo131, thank you for the update, but I am still skeptical. If it were me, I would have published a status report somewhere rather than letting us all hang the way we have been. @@JROKRIZZY, all my cameras seem to work the same as they used to. The only difference of course is that I cannot connect to them when I am away from the wifi network that the cameras are connected to.
Make sure the battery is fully charged; reboot the camera and possibly your modem/router too. Keep the camera close to your router during this test in case your wifi signal is weak. If that does not work, reset the camera instead of rebooting it, by gently putting a pin in the hole for 5 seconds. Do not push to hard or you may dislodge the button from its circuit board. It is also possible that the camera is trying to connect to the wrong wifi network. So do these steps. Make sure you do step 7 correctly. 1) Reset the camera so that it emits its UID to your phone's WiFi list. The camera should finish booting in about a minute. It will emit a WiFi signal which will be listed with the camera’s 27 character UID, starting with something like this: “CH14741-C”. 2) Write down this id for future reference. The corresponding default password is 8888. 3) Go into the app from your smart phone and tap on “Live Video” at the bottom, of the screen. Then tap on the “+” at the top right corner. 4) Connect your camera to the app by choosing one of the three methods listed on the screen: a) Add new online camera by selecting one of the cameras from the list. b) Manually add a camera by typing the camera’s 27 character UID (eg. “CH14741-C…”) and password (8888). c) Set up a WiFi connection by connecting your smart phone to the camera’s WiFi signal and following the given instructions. 5) Once the camera has been connected, tap on the back button on your phone (or the back label on your Apple screen) to return to the main screen. 6)Tap on the gear-wheel at the top right of the main screen, and select “Advance Config” (or “Device Settings” on Apple) from the menu. 7) Tap on “WiFi Config” and select your home WiFi in order to connect your camera to your home WiFi. Type in your home WiFi password. 8) Reconnect your phone back to your home WiFi network too. Both devices should now be able to communicate with each other through your home WiFi network. Their connection will persist through the internet when you leave home
Although, I do not have this particular camera, these camera-clocks usually do record sound. However, due to US laws, the sound may be disabled if the camera is bought from the US. I do not know whether the sound can be re-enabled. I recently bought a camera that was supposed to be identical to one I already have. (The one I already have is just a no-name Chinese camera, slightly better than the one featured above.) There was no two-communication on it, but the lack of sound was the least of it's deficiencies. EVERYTHING about that camera was just inferior to the other one, most notably no night vision and by comparison no 1080p or even 720p resolution as described.
The smart phone app can display live video of up to 4 cameras on the screen, by simply providing the UID for each camera. Although, 4 can be displayed simultaneously, I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you can connect up to 9. The PC app seems to allow any number of cameras. I have not tested more than 2 however.
Does it only work in the 24 hour military format? Or does it have a 12 hour format as well? Does this have cloud recording or only SD card? What is the maximum capacity SD card it will take?👍
Here is a link to an online store that shows the camera specs: goo.gl/NYYD3S So as you can see the largest SD card it accepts is 32gb. I do not have this particular camera but I have a similar one that uses the same app. So, the app allows you to change the date format which also sets the time display to 12 or 24 hours. Only the Apple version of the app has this detail labeled; the Android version does not, but both work exactly the same to set the time format to 12 or 24 hours. So assuming the camera is designed to display either time format, go to "TIme Settings." Then under "Time Mode", select either "Day/Month/Year" or "Month/Day/Year" to display a 12 hour clock. The default format of "Year/Month/Day" displays a 24 hour clock.
@@evansusmc The specifications have changed in the past 3 years since I posted my comment. I would hope they replaced the app so that the camera can work as designed. Otherwise, the camera is not very useful.
Most of these types of cameras can record sound (though the video say it does not). However, for legal reasons, the sound is often disabled if the camera is purchased in the US. I do not know if the sound can be re-enabled.
Mine has sound enabled but the quality is so poor that you can not hear anything clearly, even with a person talking 5 feet from the unit. There is also a lot of feedback in it-white noise that can not be eliminated no matter where I place it. I have another one, and there is no interference, so it is just this camera.
I think they need to update WiFi to just phone mode or just record as most pips don't have home landlines and they have been proven to. Not be safe and can be haked too so crap
Just using the app. The camera connects to the internet (using Wi-Fi). So wherever you are (you don't need to be connected to the camera or same network) you can see the live feed. I think it's the same principle as any home security camera
It depends on which password it wants. If you are trying to connect to your camera from your phone app use the default camera password of 8888 unless you changed it. If you are using your app to connect your camera to your wifi, use your wifi password. If you are connecting to the PC app or connecting to your camera from your web browser use the admin user id and leave the password blank.
When I set my phone up to the camera wifi that is the only way I can view the live video. When I leave the house I am no longer connected to the camera so it shows the camera is offline and I cannot see what's going on. Ways to fix this?
Once you connect your phone to the camera's wifi signal, you are supposed to configure the camera to connect to your home wifi. Otherwise the camera cannot reach the outside world beyond your home. So go into "Advance Config" (or "Device Settings" on Apple), and select "Wifi Config" from the menu. Then choose your home wifi network and type in your home wifi password. This will connect the camera to your home wifi. Don't forget to disconnect your phone from the camera's wifi signal and reconnect it to your home wifi (or whatever network your phone connects to when you are at home). Since both your phone and your camera can connect to the internet, your phone should be able to connect to the camera from anywhere in the world. One final note: Once your camera is connected to your home wifi, it will no longer emit its wifi signal (I.e. it will no longer appear on the list of networks on your phone or PC.) If you want its wifi signal to reappear, you will have to reset the camera by gently pressing the reset button for about 7 seconds. This will undo all the settings and revert the password to its default of 8888.
I do not have this particular camera, but I assume it uses the same software. The CD is only used to connect your PC to the camera to basically view and record live video. It does not do much else. So it is better to download and install the HDminicam app for your smart phone to take advantage of all the camera's features. After you install the app on your smart phone, you can connect to the camera using several methods. One way is to allow the app to detect the camera's wifi signal so you can connect to it. Once you are connected, you can configure the camera through the app. Make sure you go into the app's "WiFI Config" option to choose your home wifi signal. This is important so that the camera knows where to send its data to. Once that is done, you can disconnect your smart phone from the camera's wifi signal and connect back to your home wifi.Your smart phone will continue to communicate with the camera through your home wifi or internet signal even though you disconnected from the camera's wifi. I believe the PC software runs from a single "exe" file without needing to install it. I can arrange to make that available to you if you wish.
@@santhoshcruise When the camera first comes out of the box or when you press the reset button (gently push a pin through the hole in the back) for 5-7 seconds, the camera will emit a wifi signal which you can see from your smart phone's list of wifi networks. Normally, it is positioned near the top of the list. That is the camera's UID (27 characters long). The password is 8888 If that does not work, the smart phone's app (HDminicam, iMiniCam, P2PliveCam, or MUCam) can show you all the camera ids that the app recognizes in the vicinity. So from the top of the screen of the app, press on the magnify glass. If the list comes up is empty, press the reset button of the camera and try again. Also, try one of the other apps I listed above. Note: Although all 4 apps I listed above are functionally identical, some of them do not recognize certain camera UIDs. I have found that the MUcam app recognizes all the ones I have. At some point, the iMiniCam app stopped recognizing certain UIDs.
I felt like I was watching a magician doing a card trick, flipping the cards (in this case the phone and clock) around so quickly that it was virtually impossible to see any real detail of the phone's screen or clock's details. It was like watching a Jason Bourne "shaky cam" movie. What a "headache maker". :-(
Both. It depends on how the recording is initiated. But that is irrelevant since you can no longer download the app from the Google/Apple stores. So do not buy this camera!
I will recommend the jayol spy camera: www.amazon.com/dp/B07FJMNHQ9
Maybe you need to change another one.
How you cope with automatically triggered the IR capability . I once can get the wireless signal but once I delete it and never can detect it anymore?
It's only 60. Cheap in price. What do u expect . Stop being so picky
How many hours of video recording does it have?
Can you help.... when recording I can’t seem to record audio and not sure why. How do I get this clock to record audio? When I go into the live video feed I can click the wee microphone and speaker which have a red line through them and I can hear what’s being said in real time but it doesn’t continually record audio even though I’ve got the settings to record audio. Any advice? I’ve tried to reboot the device but that hasn’t worked x
did you ever have any luck figuring this out. I don't have audio at all.
Where can I buy a battery for it? Mine did not come with one.
Motion detection not working. 64K SD card installed. MD alarm set on in software to max sensitivity. Still not working. No motion events are being triggered. Any ideas ?
Do you need constant WIFI connection to be able to record something?
No, but you need wifi to configure the camera and access it with your phone.
If you set up the camera to record and bring down wifi, the recording will continue and store the video on the SD card. However, you must set up recording through the scheduler not from the "record" button on the app on your phone because the record button records the video to your phone. The scheduler records to the SD card.

Thanks from Egypt 🇪🇬 , awesome video
I’ve done the connecting routine 10 times and still cannot get it to connect. It didn’t come with bare code to scan.
1) If it is PC compatible (you covered that), if it is iphone compatible (you did cover this well)
2) Quality of image and example ( you half covered that, not the best in depth information there, passable but not entirely helpful)
3) Recording time (where to get the memory cards, and what the max recording time, I may have missed it)
Thanks, I hope you can include that in any of your future reviews.
Micro SD cards can be purchased ($5-$50) anywhere computer peripherals are sold
Some camera models can take a 32gb micro SD card while others can take 64gb.

(I will assume you are using the Android version of the app which is slightly different than the Apple version.)
The quality of live video, depends on the strength of your wifi signal.
I understand that you can connect the camera to a home Wi-Fi router, making the camera accessible through the Internet. I got a couple of questions about this:

I got my clock yesterday. The screen is in black and white. Is yours in black and white too? This is very lousy. It should be in colour. :(
It is black and white because you have the camera's night vision turned on. You may have turned it on from the Live Video screen or you may have scheduled it to be turned on. Both cases seem unlikely, but that is all I can think of.
Hello,
Can you please advise how to set the camera to continue recording even if I exit the smartphone app ?

How do you change the time on this thing?!? The clock doesn’t sync with the app

4) Connect your camera to the app by choosing one of the three methods listed on the screen:
a) Add new online camera by selecting one of the cameras from the list.
b) Manually add a camera by typing the camera’s 27 character UID (eg.
Great review
Purchase link not working.
Good, because you should not buy anything that is not supported.
This camera have sound record to?
Dkyrtata which cam do u have? Any links for it???
does it support rtsp?
I don't know, but it is probably irrelevant now since the server the camera relies on is no longer operational. Don't buy this camera at this time
I would like to add additional minicams can you advise me how to do this
The smart phone app can display live video of up to 4 cameras on the screen, by simply providing the UID for each camera.
What is the maximum capacity SD card it will take?👍
Here is a link to an online store that shows the camera specs: goo.gl/NYYD3S
So as you can see the largest SD card it accepts is 32gb.
I can't find a way to change it from 24 hour military format.
@@dkyrtata6688 link no longer works
@@evansusmc The specifications have changed in the past 3 years since I posted my comment. I would hope they replaced the app so that the camera can work as designed. Otherwise, the camera is not very useful.
Can this camera record sound also?
Most of these types of cameras can record sound (though the video say it does not). However, for legal reasons, the sound is often disabled if the camera is purchased in the US. I do not know if the sound can be re-enabled.
Mine has sound enabled but the quality is so poor that you can not hear anything clearly, even with a person talking 5 feet from the unit. There is also a lot of feedback in it-white noise that can not be eliminated no matter where I place it. I have another one, and there is no interference, so it is just this camera.
Voiceov Reason this camera model or you have two of the exact same and only one has bad audio?
This device support night version?
Yes. It can be scheduled during certain hours but it cannot be turned on automatically based on how much light is in the room.
Hey but the IR night vision is visible at naked eyee because the cameras that I have they become red
how can we see recording from this watch
Do you have to pay for services don't like cameras to for pain for services
Does it have an SD card slot
Yes, in the rear.
I think they need to update WiFi to just phone mode or just record as most pips don't have home landlines and they have been proven to. Not be safe and can be haked too so crap
How do you view the live feed once you leave your house?
Just using the app. The camera connects to the internet (using Wi-Fi). So wherever you are (you don't need to be connected to the camera or same network) you can see the live feed. I think it's the same principle as any home security camera
Can I just record with out WiFi smh 🤦🏼♂️
How do I change the time format from military to normal
choose one of the other two date formats listed. This hidden feature is obvious on the Apple version of the app.
What if my wifi ask for a password? It use to just connect now it ask for a password to setup and admin is to short for wifi password
It says I need to used 2.4 ghz instead of 5 how do I make the switch
The camera should be able to find the 2.4 ghz signal coming from your router. Make sure that your router is sending a 2.4 ghz signal
Can I use my Iphone’s personal hotspot for the internet connection?
Yes you can
Whats the App called please ?
HOW TO SET UP MINI CAM WITH OUT CD I LOST OR MISS PLACE CD FOR MINI CAM
I bought the same cam.but I could not connect it.please help
Hi,I have a hidden camera clock and need review,The value of $58.99
See my reply to Mike Burns from last month
Dkyrtata I amazon seller
There is no user id printed in the camera. What to do? Can use any default id?
@@santhoshcruise When the camera first comes out of the box or when you press the reset button (gently push a pin through the hole in the back) for 5-7 seconds, the camera will emit a wifi signal which you can see from your smart phone's list of wifi networks. Normally, it is positioned near the top of the list. That is the camera's UID (27 characters long). The password is 8888
If that does not work, the smart phone's app (HDminicam, iMiniCam, P2PliveCam, or MUCam) can show you all the camera ids that the app recognizes in the vicinity.
can you record on it from 30 miles away live on your phone or do you need the sd card ?
Both. It depends on how the recording is initiated. But that is irrelevant since you can no longer download the app from the Google/Apple stores. So do not buy this camera!
