I signed up for a reservation ages ago, perhaps before the pandemic? I could use this, but at the rate it's going I will be retired before they get even one production car out...
Buying the vehicle will only come after more folks buy the stock, or the ATVM loan is granted. Chasing this is not a dream, it is a quest for Fambro, and Anthony. It is an evolution to the electric vehicle market. At first my concern was the lightweight might not be as safe. But carbon fiber and the batteries being where they are making the center of gravity lower than most cars, that changed my worry into thinking it will be a very safe vehicle. Seeing the moose test outright changed my mind on stability, watching others take test drives in it, all smiles. I cannot wait either, and hope it hurries up. Getting too old to wait much longer. My Pruis is a 2015.
I love my Prius. The gas gauge occasionally goes wonky, but other than that, I've had no real problems. Whenever I bring it in for service, the service people offer to buy if from me.
The intelligent question is why would anyone even discuss buying something that is not for sale? The intelligent answer is they don't - only stupid people would do that.
@@kevinscott8642 The intelligent answer is because tens of thousdands of people have handed over something in the area of $180 million who expect to get either a high return or a great vehicle and will most likely get zilch. That question was still in the stupid category.

Why would anybody want to buy a motorcycle, that is wider than a Hummer H1, more expensive than a Tesla Model 3 and a deathtrap in case of an accident?
@@michaelortega-binderberger5195 In case of an accident the first thing to rip off are the front wheels. The battery is installed inside the passenger compartment (unlike any other BEV). So if the battery starts fire, the toxic fumes escape to the drivers nostrils. @@vic321344 You make a lot of assumptions about Aptera safety, as if the average car cannot end up as a death trap under circumstances, only the Aptera can. @@vic321344 I assume the production version has to comply with standard 'car' (not motorcycle) safety regulations and must pass standard car safety crash tests, otherwise the Aptera will not be legal. Well said, we agree!
Can't wait till I get mine! 😋
Aptera will reach production by next year. I look forward to beta testing my vehicle with other Accelerators in San Diego.
Enjoy the Ride

Thank you! Subscribed! Looking forward to future episodes (from a fellow Boomer and Aptera reservation holder).
Welcome aboard! Thank you!
When was the first reservation? 2007?
I can’t wait to get mine. But I think I’m going to Cali first to check it out in person.
Because it recharges 40 miles in a day form the sun that’s enough for me .
