the maritime industry has a ton of money in it, im a pilot boat captain and make 200k a year and work 6 months a year i advise anyone that doesnt have a career path they enjoy or are unsure about what they want to pursue to try something in the maritime industry its a hidden gem. benefits for most companies are also fantastic i have some of the best medical insurance there is and dont pay a dime for it my company covers all of it.
@@calhouncarlos903 First, get your physical done to see if you can pass. If you pass, getting your MMC and STCW done it is about a $6000 investment, I just finished processing all the paperwork required by the coast guard it is a lot!!!!
My boy still putting out the good content. I'm glad you got your subs up you reaching many more people bro. I gotta come visit you up when I'm back in atlanta bro.
Hey i have a question i was looking at the job board you had showed but i only saw 3 steward jobs do you know if it is hard to find a job as a steward. I have asthma and trying to find the best route for me.
Once you get your qualifying sea-time, are you considering writing any mates' exams? Lots if studying, but worth it. Work hard, work safe, always learn, study hard, and always - be humble. Go for the moon bro!!!
I just left the SIU location in Mobile a couple days ago and the lady said something about needing dental exam before I can be accepted to the apprentice. I have two teeth that need to be pulled. Does dental records really stop you from joint their apprenticeship 🤔
I gotta question im trynna go to siu apprenticeship program i pass the test im 19 jus waiting rn can I work the tub boat while being off the boat and when I’m back on the boat will I still keep the tub boat job
Question: by showing your paycheck will others complain? Are all of you the same pay? Just curious because in a lot of jobs they don’t want people sharing for these reasons. This is not a hater comment this is just a question
You don't get paid for downtime, however you are working 80+ hour work weeks so you are going to make your 2080 hours a year like a normal full time 9-5. You just get it done in 6 months instead of spread over 12 months.
ima 25 yo man just trying to get my foot in thru the door frfr, the only thing I have to my name is my hs diploma, my drivers license and my osha 10 card, I don’t got a twic or mmc soo where do I go from there ?

Would you give me more inf abt it?.
What path did you take? Do u think being 38 is too old to start in this industry? I would like to be a pilot boat captain as well.

Man I’m coming from truckin and the industry is dead 💀 u think a local inland tug gig would work with no experience and a family man
Absolutely !
That's very good, considering it's US $. I would not be able to do that job if I need that Covid crap to do it. If I had the job then I would quit.
Buy up a property and do a cost segregation study on it and get back your payroll taxes.
Can you recommend some maritime jobs. I just got my MMC last month. @tretv
