- This has to be the best ever RAF Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 'Dusk Display' from 29 Squadron's Flt Lt Matt Brighty, callsign ANARCHY1! It was 10 minutes before sunset at 1945 on the 1st September Friday evening of the Bournemouth Air Festival 2023 and what a ferociously brilliant display it was. The reheats (afterburners) looked mesmerising in the dusk light of the evening.
Flt Lt Matt Brighty is this year's RAF Typhoon display pilot and with his team from 29 squadron based at RAF Coningsby (Ted HQ), they put together one of the best displays ever seen!

Never have I seen this display or Blackjack look so gorgeous than in the dusk. With the neon lights of Bournemouth reflecting on the Union Jack wrap! Graceful and jaw dropping. 😍 just so lucky to have witnessed it with the excited Cameraman loosing it at the beginning and middle. The Re-Heats work in this light. Genius pilot in his Tyhoon moving to his tune.. Blackjack 'Anarchy1' A Legend for me. Brighty, Nikos and Ted, you are the best. RAF i 🫡 salute you. Till next time Over and out!

That is notable for 3 possible reasons
1) the Typhoon is probably the best aircraft for the RAFDT
2) Brighty is the best pilot the RAFDT has ever had
3) Nickos and TCS are the best channel on RUclips.
Or alternatively, all of the above. This channel, RAFDT, all our forces of all grades, have given me hope and a reason to smile again. Thanks TCS for everything you have done.

what about jim peterson being best pilot, just my opinion
As pilots go the guy who flew the display tornado back in 94/95 was pretty good 👍, I was working on the renewing of the taxiways for Balfour Beaty at Conningsby back then. He to the tornado up and did a display right above us it was unreal, think his name was Fred Grundy the plane was done like a stick of rock 😊
Legendary as always.I was there to see the mighty second to none red arrows but because of my dislike for crowds I left before this ridiculously skill full display performed only as the RAF can.I’m so proud of these people and what they can do.A credit to any county but thankfully they’re ours.

We have ‘re-heat’ In the UK’s RAF, It’s the Americans and US Airforce that have ‘afterburners’. What a great display….

Firstly a big thank you to Ted Nikos & Clare for all your hard work bringing all this to us.
There are so many words you could use for Bright's displays but the list would
be so long so i will say they take your breath away amazing it is a privilege to watch him.
And the evening one well it just left you speechless. I would love to see one of his displays in real life.
So Ted Nikos without what you do for us we would not get chance to see these amazing people THANK YOU.

I must admit, that's by far the best performance in an air shown I have seen. And I'm in the USA with the BLUE Angels.

Wow Wow Wow. Good luck to the fighter pilot following Mighty Brighty next year. His displays this year have been amazing but this one tops the lot. Never seen black jack look so dynamic and majestic. Massive thanks Nikos and crew for sharing. Brilliant filming as usual and the best ever enthusiastic sound track.

We went to the Ayr show, just for the Typhoon. The sound is like God ripping the sky apart - no recording can do it justice. It makes you want sing Hallujah, cry or wet yourself.

@TedConingsby Defo. Everyone is part that display routine, From the dude sweeping the hanger right up to Brighty and every job in-between.
I think you enjoyed that even more than Brighty did! I love the way you captured the glint of the setting sun on the Typhoon - great video. I hope Airbourne has a sunset display next year.

Anarchy1 silenced the music pretty quickly
I was there live and it was awesome I will watch this video when I get back home many many times . The oohs and wows from the spectators added to the excitement and one child close to me was shouting Again Again . I mentioned to the parents that they could do by watching this on you tube and gave them details

The loud vibrational frequencies from yesterday's typhoon display broke my son 's TV as it flew over . The tv screen kept flickering then it went completely blank (no more visibility)
Personally I enjoyed watching the fly over and all its manoeuvres 😊

Great t see. I reckon he burnt half my annual income tax in those ten minutes. But it is a good investment to have a brilliant air force as we found in 1940 ( I was not there). Excellent footage and I would have loved to have been there but live many miles away.

I watched the Saturday night display & it was immense. I found the final afterburner light up when it went vertical particularly brilliant as the UJ livery flashed red briefly when it was lit up from the sunset, a millisecond before it went into the clouds as if it disappeared from a light speed jump.
Oiii oiii, yes, you are spot on, it does glow red. It was an immense display and we cannot wait to return next year

I go to the local airshow principally to see and hear this plane. I'd love to pay a visit to war games. I cannot imagine what it must feel like with multiple of these (I guess) plus chinooks and tanks and guns. Deafening.
Bournemouth council are trying to kill off the air show. No dates announced. Would be a terrible loss to the air show circuit

I can't ever imagine these pilots finding this sort of thing 'routine'. I can only guess it's like passing your driving test and your Dad hands you the keys to his souped up project car and says 'go on son, rag the arse off it', only multiplied by a thousand and getting paid for it. Every. Single. Time. What a privilege it must be.

It's almost half as long as the bomber.

What a great Solo Display Flight Hope Brighty will come to Belgium for the Sanicole Air Show 2024. 80 years Operation Market Garden is the theme. Brighty and Blackjack would fit very well into the program. I never seen him
Sadly, the RAF TYPHOON display pilot only holds the position for one year. Maybe the new pilot will come next year
