If you're doing that for a love, a dream would for sure be to go in one of these, I don't think the person was saying Teds dream was to get in a plane
I'm really questioning the narrative here. There was a German RUclipsr who got to fly with an Eurofighter from the German military and he had to go through a full day of medical and physical testing + countless safety instructions and so on, to be even allowed inside of the plane. So I guess that can't be that spontaneous.. or they just don't give a f?
@@billystanford275 He is often reciting aircraft types and flight numbers on Ted's notebook. There is an article about him becoming a pilot if he didn't become a presenter. So yeah..

These pilots are infinitely more competent than any F1 driver as it is so fast and in multiple dimensions. They are incredible

The editor clearly remembered Clarkssons speed machines where he flew an F-15 to the background music of the same Bjork song.
George looks that he could do that every day, and at full G. What an experience for them both, and the RAF will even pay you to do it if you're good enough too.

Lol they where not pulling many G forces.. george might be used to lateral g forces but positive and negative forces is a completely another thing. At 9 g George would pas out just like anybody who isnt trained for this

@@User05199 There's quite a few familiarisation flights here on youtube of military personnel in the US getting taken to the 9g club in the F-16, you would be surprised how many of them don't actually pass out.
Ofcourse the duration of pulling g's matters. Most of the time those are short pulls. U gotta understand a typhoon or f16 can pull 9 g's without losing speed

I love listening to Bjork but hadn't actually heard this track before and I was thinking, one of my favorite things about watching these Sky F1 specials is, the music is always on point and right up my alley. A feeling further solidified by hearing Air right after it.

Kids, can 100% attest to joining the RAF as an aircraft engineer. I loved my time, which then led me to join BAe and was part of the design team on (Eurofighter) Typhoon. And always remember, if flying was hard it'd be the groundcrew doing it🤔 Well done Sky Sports F1 and really nice words from Ted too. Having flown back seat a number of times, I knew exactly what you felt

My girlfriend works here and does all the batteries for these typhoons. These things are absolutely insane. I will happily spend hours by the airfield watching takeoffs when I visit her. Absolutely incredible bits of kit.
This is exactly why I love aviation and fighter jets! Out of this world. Hopefully I'll be one of the Lietenants one dy flying these beautiful jets over the earth.
I am sure George and Ted were absolutely thrilled being up there. What an experience. I have to say I was impressed by Ted. Unlike George he is not used to Pulling G's, but he did it anyway. Respect!

This segment was super cool. In 20 years time assuming Ted is still working and George has retired from F1(hopefully as a multi-WDC), I'd love to watch a series of these two trying out different fighter planes from the various air forces around the world. Rafales, Super Hornets, Flankers, Vipers, Eagles...
My dad was an engineer based at RAF Conningsby. He left shortly before being promoted to Sergeant.
George looks like if you recorded this in black and white he would be a spitfire pilot, let's have a cup of tea then go kick the chocks, has this made him want to get his pilots licence maybe he has , actually getting up in the Typhoon and a refuel at altitude , jealous, what an experience . Go RAF.
