A spectacular location for an airshow - the surrounding mountains really enclose the display and make it look much more impressive than a show at wide open airfield

Seen many Typhoon displays, but this is incredible.. It really demonstrates the performance and the excess power of this amazing aircraft! The noise echoing off the mountains must have been something else!

These high bank maneuvers up the face of the mountains are unreal. The spot on the cliff face there must be something else hearing that roar then seeing him come over the top. This environment gives such a beautiful twist on the display as apposed to a flat field. Makes the immersion of an invigorating dogfight putting performance to the max👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Been watching lots of airshow and fighter jets videos from Switzerland in the past and I've always seen great opportunities for some scenic spots in all those beautiful mountains they have surrouding their airfields. Surely there was something better higher up but it's already a good thing Ive found one at the first useful opportunity 😁

It always blows my mind to see modern jets climbing vertically. And this display nicely shows over the liveliness of the Typhoon with the tightness of some of those turns. Just thinking about how all of that is being done with something weighing 11,000kg is kind of mad. The forces at play are really something.

I really wanted to do something different from the usual automotive stuffs and, being a fan of everything fast and loud vehicle mankind has created, I could only be a fan of airplanes 😆 But I never been at many airshow since they're mainly held over the sea or lakes here in Italy and lack those typical Swiss surroundings. Which are perfect to have a different perspective, as you noticed, while still staying close to the action 😉Wish you all the best too and a great week, dude!

Agree on the sound quality that was spectacular. I swear on that vertical take-off when he passed by you pulling up there was not only engine sound but also the aerodynamic sound of the air getting pushed/sliced by the airframe. A bit like the infamous Spitifre low pass by Ray Hanna where you can also hear distinctively the air getting sliced up by the Sptifire wings. @@TheMick26

In the close and high mountains at Mollis (CH, LSZM) the sound has to be that incredible! It was a great display even I, personaly, preferred the French Rafale. As always, Mollis is a great meeting and in my case easy reachable by train. Cu there next time again! great cut of the video!

In comparison it is a very light fighter with lots of power. The Eurofighter is so capable. Even more than some people think. I served in the German Airforce at JG 71 and saw the Typhoon in action. Great footage.
I remember one day when I was living on the patch at RAF Cottesmore (as-was), a Typhoon just pitched up and did pretty much this over my back garden. You don't really understand the performance until you see it a few hundred yards away from you.
An awesome display in such a relatively enclosed space, i the sound of the Typhoon really bounces back off the mountains. I bet it sounds better actually being part of the audience!
Das Flugzeug einmal aus einer anderen Perspektive, also von oben, im Tiefflug zu sehen, ist phantastisch. In solch einem engen Tal solche Manöver zu fliegen erfordert sicher noch viel mehr Konzentration, Genauigkeit und auch Mut. Anscheinend hat der Jet in jeder Situation mehr als genügend Leistung, um sich wieder senkrecht nach oben befreien zu können. Das Ganze sicherlich mit enormen G-Belastungen. Solch ein Flug wird für den Piloten bestimmt den Höhepunkt seiner fliegerischen Laufbahn darstellen. Auch sehr gut gefilmt. Ich selbst habe als Jugendlicher auf einem Flugtag erlebt, wie ein Tornado mit Nachbrenner einen Looping geflogen ist, das war - insbesondere soundmäßig - markerschütternd, hat mich tief beeindruckt und ich bin seitdem "infiziert"....
Ich durfte an diesem Ort, Mollis schon etliche airshows miterleben. Und ja, dieser Nachbrennersound vor der 2500m hohen senkrechten Wand ist einfach unglaublich. Das gibt's auf einem flachen Platz ohne Berge nicht.

Great power to weight ratio permitting this aircraft to do incredible manoeuvres effortlessly. You can see the afterburners go into action as the aircraft climbs vertically making altitude very easily.
A German Typhoon in such melodic flight! This typhoon looks way more agile than in many other videos I`ve seen? One from Italy was nice as well but the rest mainly... sorry... a bit boring. But wow! I love the adorable manoveurs of the russian jets in general, but this Typhoon is so pleasant to enjoy. In that scenery with that sound, just super. Great job of the film team as well 👍
Sieht mir doch sehr nach fliegerischer Manöverfreiheit aus - hoffe, die Luftwaffen-Piloten haben sich darüber gefreut, dass sie mal wieder auswärts in Grenzbereiche kommen konnten!!! Eigentlich auch nicht zu laut für diese schöne Umgebung - bessere Regelmöglichkeit beim Zwei-Strahler ?
More thrust than weight is be a beautiful trait... sort of like space travel REALLY close to the gorund 🤯😵💫 A slick EF2000 has a power to weight ratio of about 1:1... the more fuel gets burned the more excess power over weight it gets... And bozzy... you know👌🏼😅 🤙🏻

To put this magnificent machine through its paces undoubtedly has to be the ultimate expression of freedom.
Amazing pilot skills to fly a fighter jet like that in the very narrow valleys of Glarus, with steep mountain walls at around 3000 meters altitude!

Yeah, well, the Typhoon has the highest TWR of the western jets, barring F15K. At 1.25 it could take off from ground vertically, at just 80% thrust.
