@@tunacrabbeinghandled Yeah, I'm all for thinking for yourself. But I'm even more for honesty, and you can spend all day talking about the virtues of saying Death is not a great band, just to "let your freak flag fly." But you could also say two plus two equals five.

Dillenger is not an easy band to get into but when it clicks it clicks. Also I wonder how much Fear Factory you have checked out, they're one of my favourite bands ever and they have a really strong discography imo.
Dillinger is a GOAT for me personally.
Dillinger is at the very least top tier with no bad releases

The ranking is really fun, although I had 158.bands in Don't Know and 64 in Not My Thing 🙂. On the other hand I miss bands like Alcest, Winterfylleth, Panopticon, Kvelertak, Solstafir, Saor, Persefone, Havukruunu, Iapetus, Drudkh, The Gathering, Caligula's Horse, Blut aus Nord, Borknagar or Apocalyptica. They would all make the Top 3 categories.

TOP TIER: Agalloch, Insomnium, The Ocean, Khemmis (not enough albums for GOAT),Windir (same), King Diamond, Candlemass, Haken, Metallica, Obscura, Baroness, Dark Tranquility, Edge of Sanity, Bolt Thrower, Dio, Bathory, Moonsorrow
EXCELLENT: Black Sabbath, Slayer, Megadeth, Testament, Tiamat, Sodom, Cirith Ungol, Psychotic Waltz, Rivers of Nihil, Visigoth, Power Trip, Fates Warning, Wintersun, Gojira, Helloween, SOAD, Mastodon, Rage, Paradise Lost, Rammstein
The first two Ozzy albums with Randy Rhoads are legendary, get your ass on them asap
All of em in the 80s n 90s are good, Ozzy is the goat🐐
The fact you flirted with putting Moonsorrow in the GOAT tier is good enough for me. (But i would definitely put them there). 🤘
I didn't dare to put OZ in "Don't know", while it might be Ozzy. So I googled. It is not. It's a finnish metal band with great album names like "Burning Leather" or "Fire in the Brain" 🙂
Musically it's not even terrible. Speed metal/Power metal with a bit of a thrashy edge. By the way you should google the cover of their first album "The Oz". That is some terrible stuff 🙂
I think you're going to like Satan, it's a bit of a mix between mercyful fate and iron maiden.
Really good tier list actually, but I do think ne obliviscaris deserve excellent tier 😊 also I was very surprised of the rank of some good power metal bands like Stratovarius or helloween, I do agree, but sometimes ppl underrate these power metal gods, thanks for making this video❤

You really need to check out Metal Church. There's no way you won't love them judging off your taste. You can copy and paste what I just said for Satan too
Not sure if it was intentional or not by the person that made the tier list but Black Sabbitch is an actual band. They're an all female Black Sabbath cover band and they're alright.

Do yourself a favor and check out Nevermore when you have a chance. Insane guitar work, interesting vocals. Kinda like a mixture of prog/thrash/power.

Also, on the Dillinger. Try listening to them, when you're in rage. I turned them off, one day, and then was furious later, and got it.

I would check out Corrosion of Conformity. Their 80s stuff gives Suicidal Tendencies vibes but changed their style in the following albums

The video is really great,but I disagree with one fact, that some albums of Motörhead sounds like AC/DC. That’s a whole different stuff. Isn’t it?

Btw, you said you haven't heard primal fear and nocturnal rites so here's a few songs you should hear. PF: angel in black, running in the dust, heart of a brave. NR: genetic distortion sequence, still alive, eyes of the dead, awakening. 👍

Really wanted to hear your take on Kyuss because it's one of my favourite bands but it somehow wasn't on the list, which is baffling since The Sword was on it, you could argue it's more rock than metal and that's why it wasn't on there, but so were Misfits and Porcupine Tree
Kyuss isn't Metal, just like so many more bands on here. This list almost didnt make sense

I agree that after pierced from within every suffocation album has a meh song or two but effegy and pierced are perfect albums and over all suffocation are top 3 death metal
love to see Falkenbach so high :)
I haven't seen Ghost Brigade... it's a really good dearh/doom band... I recommend them

High on Fire is not a side project. It's been Matt Pike's main band for 25 years.
Thought sleep released music way before high on fire, tho yeah I guess he is more invested in high on fire so that would be considered his main
@@Questformetal He left Sleep and formed High on Fire and has released multiple albums with High on Fire. Sleep only reunited recently over the past few years. Pike has toured constantly with High on Fire. They won a Grammy!

You put my favorite band of all time - Virgin Steele in "Good", and I have to agree, their run of albums in the 90s are PEAK classic Heavy Metal but everything after is some of the worst stuff ever made in the genre (on the same level as St. Anger)

Haha, My Dying Bride is a lot more consistent (and better imo) than PL and Katatonia :)
You know lots of bands!
PL were more experimental in their catalogue, Katatonia... Some of their stuff is great, some is really boring to me (mostly the recent stuff).
MDB however, I don't think there is an album of theirs (maybe only Evinta) that I at least don't enjoy. Even the new stuff is wow, very elegant. On their 2012 release you can really hear how authentic they sound, as if they just found their way, after so many years!
This is only personal view, nothing more.

Opeth is not even a metal band anymore and havent made a good or metal album in 10+ years and the old stuff is highly overated. They only have 4 good albums. =)
